Try asking on the Facebook group 'Pattaya Oracle', it is probably the best source of information for questions like this.

A while back there were a couple of places in Jomtien advertising mobility scooters for hire but I think they had closed last time this question was asked.

The suggestion at the time was to buy one from somewhere like Fascino and sell it when you leave. Obviously this is only viable for a long term stayet.

Catrina i will be in Pattaya in 2 weeks. Im at Fascino for restocking so will get prices and the possibility of a sell back and post if you haven't an answer by then.    Just to add Bolts(taxi) are cheap and plentiful now. I've used them even for going a few blocks when im toast. If the scooter doesn't work out  consider a day hire as it sounds he can get around shorter distance on his own.

I know this is a bit late  but did you know that you can take your own Mobility scooter on the plane for free. I only found out a couple of years ago after spending a fortune hiring them in various places around the world . I take my own everywhere and it will travel with me in April when I next get to pattaya

If you’re heading to Pattaya on the 22nd of December and need a mobility scooter for your husband, there are several rental services that cater to tourists in large areas where walking long distances can be difficult. Pattaya has shops such as Scootexperience Thailand in Jomtien, which specifically offers wheelchair and mobility scooter rentals, making it a good option for those with limited mobility. In addition, services like Rent Motorbike Pattaya, Family Scooter & Car Rental, and Pattaya Service Market provide scooter rentals with delivery to hotels, which is very convenient if you’re staying in central Pattaya or near the beach. Since December is a busy holiday season, I’d recommend booking in advance to ensure availability. Always check whether the rental includes insurance and confirm the scooter’s condition before use. Many of these companies are well-reviewed by tourists and can deliver directly to your accommodation, saving you the hassle of pickup.
