Taxi from Bangkok airport need recommendations

Recommended Posts

I have previously used Nams taxi and got a decent price , 1500 for an SUV so I have room for my mobility scooter, but  when I emailed Nams taxis she replied that she no longer does airport pickups. She gave me a new email for Yuristaxipattaya , he wants 2000baht for a sedan and 2500baht for an SUV . now apart from being hugely overpriced IMHO is he reliable or is there another reliable taxi firm out there that anyone can recommend. I am arriving on the 2nd August at around 10am.

This needs some clarification.

Nam certainly DOES do airport pick-ups from Suvarnabhumi (i.e. BKK).

So, are you referring to Don Muang?

Or possibly meaning she can't provide an SUV?

I have used Pattaya Boss Taxi from/to BKK/DMG, Hua Hin, Isarn and throughout Thailand always cheapest rate.

Can I suggest that you try Mr. T Taxi. They are available on LINE.

I have been using them for ages and have never been let down. The drivers are on time and courteous and the cars clean and modern.

Can I suggest that you message your individual requirements and ask for a quote. They are usually very quick to reply and never seem to have any language problems.

I have had SUV vehicles in the past but the current price for whatever they send is 1200 baht each way all tolls included.

Hello John.

Thank you for your email.

My Apologies to say that we No longer take any bookings from and to DMK AIRPORT (Don Mueang Airport)

Please try with Yuri Taxi.

The above was what I got back from an email to Nam.  and as I said Yuri is IMHO a little expensive.

My last trip Dec 2024 Nam passed me on to Yuri. Aparently Yuri is a former employee of Nam and has started her own business. Same same Nam lady drivers etc. Did at least 2 trips with Yuri: BKK to Sukumvhit Soi 11 and then Sukumvhit Soi 11 to Pattaya. All good.

With my Brother and son coming in Sept and several taxi trips planned, not just Airports, Yuri seems a good alternative if Nams is getting to busy. They are about the same price as Nams, not overpriced. So would be interested in reviews or how many trips are being passed from Nams to Yuri.  I like the overpriced AOT Bkk to Sukhumvit but they are too much to Pattaya and 1/2 day trips.

Thanks for the clarification, I don't fly DMK so will continue to use Nams.

I have sorted it out because I used Don Mung in my enquiry rather than Suv the new airport she demurred as they do not go to Don Mung anymore My fault for continuing to use the name Don Mung  for the new airport.
