  1. I felt most of the problems were just 'teething issues'. It was an oil massage but I do not want to name the girl as she was pretty good and polite, just the facilities let her down, and her lack of attention to detail. You know how it goes, if something doesn't work it is someone else's problem. Velcro is not very good here..... big clips works better. Yes the foot massage chairs were there outside, walked past those, past the reception area, then turned left where there was 4 mattresses separated by curtains. I think I was second on the right and we left the curtains open to the 3rd mattress to help with cooling. Sure I will try there again.... although after songkran.
  2. I have visited. There were a few things sadly lacking. When I entered with a girl from outside, the receptionist didn't even acknowledge me, I think a pleasant welcome would be a good idea, she was busy doing something more interesting. The girl escorted me to the curtained area and there seemed to be some confusion where to go..... it was hot in there and I wanted the ceiling fan turning on as this would divert some AC my way.... either I was not understood or the girl didn't know how to turn it on. A clothes hanger and a hook plus a small table or shelf would be useful, there was nothing, Nowhere to put clothes and belongings. The top of the light box had an inch of dust on it. Massage went ok although the girl was a bit limited on any extras. It isn't really private enough, perhaps some big clips to close the curtains better are needed. I wanted a shower, the first room I was shown nothing was in a working condition. I asked why I was put there and she said not her problem. The shower worked in another bathroom but it needs refurbishing a bit. Perhaps you could consider whether the girl should help with the shower, or at least offer... rather than just put you in a bathroom where the water didn't work. There was an unpleasant smell which appeared to come from a rice cooker filled with small towels. A little perfume needed? It is up to you to see where most of your business comes from, but with the nice front outside area and big window with sea view I think it would be a great place for the foot/back/neck type massages for the tourists.

  10. It would be nice if you came back here and posted how things were going after you have settled in.

  12. I don't park my bike on Beach Rd very much..... if ever it has 'gone' I cannot be sure if it was stolen, moved by the M/C taxi guys from 'their turf', moved by the motorcycle renters from 'their turf', or the police have removed it!

  16. So you take your home SIM out of a smart phone and put it into a cheap one for the duration of your time in LOS. I have often wondered if your SIM was assigned to 3G, and your plan was a 3G plan, and then you put it into a 2G cheapo phone, whether it would work OK.
  17. Qantas are a bit of a special case at the moment. There always was something of that in the Frequent Flier world. Cheaper Economy attracted reduce miles. Biz Class gave you a 50% bonus etc etc. These mileage accounts seem to be more useful these days. I could never get free tickets with them in the past, no availability. So many of my miles expired, now I find I can use them to buy useless crap from their shop or enter a raffle! I wonder if the airlines account for them as a deficit on their books. Anybody able to comment on this summer's expected demand.......?
  18. Were you on your bike? I was wondering about parking as obviously Beach Rd is never easy. Any spots provided by the business?

  20. Likely London due to the higher level of competition. Also the only airport offering non-stop flights. A quick check for June showed £467 using KLM from Manchester And £452 from LHR using China Southern. Stockton is a fair way from London but a train to Manchester is easy. You could go from Newcastle.....(ay-up bonny lad) for £466, again KLM via Amsterdam.
  21. Well OP, I do hope the current strikes and dispute are well over by then.
  22. Plenty of hot air here!

  23. I stopped in front of the place yesterday. It was like a building site! I presumed the work going on was part of the business and from what I can see it will have a large frontage on the Beach Rd. I think it will pull in the tourists as it appeared well up market from your standard soi Honey Inn MP with solitary malfunctioning shower that has you feeling nervous as you stand in a few cm of water that doesn't appear to be draining away. I will pop back again if I have time before the infants start throwing water around!
