Are you obtaining your first tourist visa in the USA? The reason I ask is that there is often a restriction applied by consulates in Thailand adjacent countries...... ie if you are trying to get your third consecutive tourist visa in Vientiane. Always best to check with the local visa agencies who are up to date with the current situation.... quite often another tourist visa can be obtained by travelling to another place. Either way I am confident they can help you out with some option..

Yes, it depends on the Network/package and lots of other factors.... I sacrificed my long validity to get cheaper calls...doesn't matter as I live in Thailand now. I have to play different tricks with my UK O2 number... they will cancel it and help themselves to any credit I have if I do not make a chargeable call for six months. So every April I need to make a 10 second call on it from Thailand on roaming and am amused by how much they charge me for it. I also need to get a new data card next time I am there for my 3G dongle.

Looked like Wac to me. Let us try to get back on track. Does Anton still do a good fatties buffet on Naklua Rd? Possibly the last one I went to in Pattaya outside of a breakfast buffet? I think it is harsh to write off buffets as a balloon chaser's venue, perhaps a tongue in cheek comment, The ones in 5 star hotels are often a good deal and you get a higher quality of food and cooking than nearly all other Pattaya eateries. You can enjoy such a variety of dishes. Isn't the Cherry Restaurant buffet well regarded? A pity the OP wasn't seen for what it was!

Fine, care to tell us what the validity date is on that? If it works for you great. As previously stated 1-2-Call have been changing their validity rules. I used to get 1 year I think it was in 1990s, and that suited me fine until I moved here and realised my long-distance intra network calls were 8 baht/min. I now pay 1 b/min and manage my validity as per above posts.

Than the USA! Particularly in a State with 0 sales tax. In Thailand that would be 7%, discussion of raising it to 10% was made recently but it was decided it was not the time, but it will come. In the UK, VAT is a whopping 20%, as it is in many European countries, 25% around Scandinavia and 23% I think in R.I. (Ireland not Rhode Island)

I felt most of the problems were just 'teething issues'. It was an oil massage but I do not want to name the girl as she was pretty good and polite, just the facilities let her down, and her lack of attention to detail. You know how it goes, if something doesn't work it is someone else's problem. Velcro is not very good here..... big clips works better. Yes the foot massage chairs were there outside, walked past those, past the reception area, then turned left where there was 4 mattresses separated by curtains. I think I was second on the right and we left the curtains open to the 3rd mattress to help with cooling. Sure I will try there again.... although after songkran.

I have visited. There were a few things sadly lacking. When I entered with a girl from outside, the receptionist didn't even acknowledge me, I think a pleasant welcome would be a good idea, she was busy doing something more interesting. The girl escorted me to the curtained area and there seemed to be some confusion where to go..... it was hot in there and I wanted the ceiling fan turning on as this would divert some AC my way.... either I was not understood or the girl didn't know how to turn it on. A clothes hanger and a hook plus a small table or shelf would be useful, there was nothing, Nowhere to put clothes and belongings. The top of the light box had an inch of dust on it. Massage went ok although the girl was a bit limited on any extras. It isn't really private enough, perhaps some big clips to close the curtains better are needed. I wanted a shower, the first room I was shown nothing was in a working condition. I asked why I was put there and she said not her problem. The shower worked in another bathroom but it needs refurbishing a bit. Perhaps you could consider whether the girl should help with the shower, or at least offer... rather than just put you in a bathroom where the water didn't work. There was an unpleasant smell which appeared to come from a rice cooker filled with small towels. A little perfume needed? It is up to you to see where most of your business comes from, but with the nice front outside area and big window with sea view I think it would be a great place for the foot/back/neck type massages for the tourists.
