I got the TGF to make one of MM's current favourites, Pork waterfall, (nam tok moo). I have eaten this before but never made at home. The little market nearby didn't have any BBQ pork, so she had to do that at home first. ( I prefer that anyhow as when you buy pre-cooked stuff the ingredients are often lacking, too much skin, fat and offal in the pork, splintered bones and chicken skin rather than meat). It was pretty good, and similar in taste to how she makes laab moo. Good to have uncooked veggies too. Good to increase her repertoire, somewhat limited by her own pernickety tastes and eating restrictions.

I guess the fees for taking off from LHR are higher than BKK, and landing charges will vary too.I just did a quick check on BA using one way...... LHR-BKK £881 (43169 THB) of which £235 (11515 THB) are charges. BKK-LHR £477 (23400 THB) of which £139 (6820 THB) are charges. I bet that clear it up for you.....

We got a lot of noise and quite a good bit of rain out here in Nong Plalai...... I was glad when it arrived, but getting a bit worried later as the power went off and on a couple of times. I unplugged a few things before going to bed as it was still at it ! Pleasant to be up early and feel cool air this morning.

It's great when it is over though isn't it!

Sounds like a pretty slick 'fuck you'.... Someone left a smouldering cigarette in an ashtray under my nose once when I was having my male PMS and I added beer.....

Now to Meet Non-P4P Thai Girls
jacko replied to Little John's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Well the ones over there in there in PI are different than the staff working in USA airports. -
Well I am not a particular tough guy type and there seems to be some tightly wound people in the Pattaya bars.
-
They all pretty much do the same thing mate, well on these long hauls they do.You get a meal soon after take-off, after a drink. And breakfast is rolled out to be done with before landing. But with KLM now you can actually pre-order your meal on board for an extra £10-12. There is a 'Your Meal On Board' option in the booking process.

Spankys Pattaya Now Packed With Girls
jacko replied to scott66's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Having a problem seeing the floor? You were obviously too far away from it and should have taken that drink. -
It is a pity Bolton couldn't work a bit harder and give QPR a more fitting punishment.

Or played rough with a bit of bitch slapping!

A bit of compromise goes a long way, if I have smoke coming to my face, then the smoker is failing to do that, and being inconsiderate. Sadly that happens all too often. Asking smokers to hold their stick away from me often brings aggressive response, I find that very selfish. Perhaps banning smoking has put smokers off from attending pubs in the UK, although when I am there, plenty seem to congregate at the door to satiate their addiction. But you look inside to a cleaner environment where people can dine and bring their children. I certainly do not believe children should be subjected to smoke, and have nothing but disdain for parents who subject them to their habit, sadly too many do. Isn't that the height of selfishness when you affect your own offspring's health? As an asthmatic friend told me once. I also believe smoking contributed to putting my father and grandfather into their graves prematurely..... and I know many others to whom that could be attributed. They hadn't had the warnings you see in modern times, those that still do not heed the advise to quit are singularly short sighted. If you can handle the sore throat for a bit, try those electronic cigarettes for all your indoor fixes, a regular cigarette between bars could be had, and of course in outdoor BBs. I am sure a little sore throat hurts less than throat cancer.

I have often wondered as I wobbled down soi 15, why anyone would want to eat there with all the foot traffic, noise and occasional motorcycle going past your elbows. I have too noticed his good selection of seafood and the fact that there are often customers. I am not partial to eating like that, seems like everyone is eyeing your dinner and the polluted atmosphere is adding to it. I liked the ones just down soi BJ where it opens out, mostly I used the one on the left as you head towards 2nd/Pratamnak. Lately I eat more at home and when I do venture into town have a farang food hankering. I miss the variety and MM keeps posting these appealing pictures.

You know, I am struggling to compare the gravity of these evil acts. Dare I ask what 'position' the sexual assault on the animal involved.
-
There was a cat involved too.....?

Somewhat disappointed by 'toad in the hole'.........Never tried Spotted Dog as he is too literal. Disappointed by Scotch Woodcock. Disgusted by head cheese. How big is the bun containing a hot dog? Where is the bunny in Welsh rabbit. Keep on chewing those prairie oysters. Them there buffalo wings must be fuxcing HUGE!

'Citizen Kane'.... I have always remembered this..... mom in Bewitched..... Agnes Moorehead.

Aw shit MM beat me....

A good useful little summary.......A little further out, on the Navy base, between Bang Saray and Sattahip, is a beach where foreigners are allowed to go, (well I think they are, I had to leave my Thai driving licence at the guard house), then parked the bike and took a Songtaew over the hill. A nice white sand beach with cold drinks and food sold.....but I have not been for a very long time. I pass it sometimes when out fishing and it looks to be busy with farangs these days, perhaps the Russians staying in outlying hotels like the Ambassador are all going there. The problem these days is floating rubbish and polluted waters, that extends well beyond Jomtiem and Naklua.

So when your flight gets cancelled, at least you can sleep it off. If they offered non-stop from Manchester, I would!
