Restaurants do,some bars do. I get an odd one for free in Champions and an old fashioned wipe off. Takes me back in time a few decades, mind you the girl performing it goes back a few too!

I recall a girl dressed up as a cowgirl coyote type thing with a leather belt loaded with bottles selling shots.If you bought one she wanted one too...which came out of a special bottle! That routine seemed to die off....... mind you it seemed obvious one had to pay so not really so 'productive'. When you live here or are regular, you realise these days nothing is free.... from the popcorn to the cold wipes that appear at your side at the restaurants. (Years ago you ALWAYS got a free cold towel when you walked in a BB). I just feel the new tourist is being taken advantage of, and it is so tacky.

The water used to get turned off at about sunset in the past to calm things down.At my house the water stayed on last night whereas last year it was cut here too. Perhaps they have an abundance.......

You can also mark a Subforum as 'read', for Example 'General Discussion About Pattaya'. Hover over the balloon to the left and you see what the effect of a click is. Only problem for me is that within the subforum, that spot means 'go to next unread'...... I have marked many as 'read' accidentally that way.

That is weird.... although I like Air Asia for the hops around SE Asia, I never fancied the longer haul with them, particularly with a long layover on KL.Not sure what the alternatives are from Sydney though for an extra $150... my pal chose Air Asia but from Perth.

Hadn't realised you had to change in LHR, but the one I looked at transferred to United for direct LHR-SFO. Quite a price too!I used to do that route a lot (excluding BKK), Dhahran-LHR-SFO but always with BA.

Yeah they don't cross the Pacific and obviously originate from Doha.... looks like you have to go via NY, Washington or Houston.

Why not tell us how much it was and let us decide if it is reasonable? One man's reasonable may be another's pricey I like Goose's, but it certainly isn't cheap.
