Well they don't seem to do walking, there are hardly any pavements or road crossings and pavements are taken over by noodle sellers or the workmen or as a display area for the nearby shop. Parents don't seem to like to do the drop off.... nor do they seem to see anything wrong in letting little somcahi ride off on the bike. Passed a bike ridden by a 7 year old just now and another 3-up, the driver I think was about 6, I say I think as I was unsure which of the 3 infants was in control. Actually it would likely not be your 'fault' if you hit one, as little sombrat does not have a licence. But since he doesn't have any money, you will need to pay his fine to get the police report to get the insurance to cover the damage.

You can go to the bank on it.... but I nevertheless manage to be up and about by 8am. But sometimes even then, if I wake with a hangover, I hate to lie there suffering and head for the coffee machine. I have always been a light sleeper. Often I get up when the chanting of the monks disturbs me......

Well I live well out of town and when I do not partake of fun, I go to bed early.The mornings are so pleasant I like to be up to enjoy them, as you appear to. I must be going native.....

I was talking to some darkside residents recently in the pub who had also been subjected to a spate of burglaries in their village. One had 'obtained' a gun in his Thai wife's name, and since, he had not had a problem. I was told he could have got it in his name, but easier for a Thai. As to how the police would react to you shooting dead one on your premises, well I think they would love you to pay them compensation. I might be tempted to move house after that!

I was awake early this morning, the monk was enthusuastic on the volume control, but never mind, a coffee will be pleasant. It is that time of year I gloat... Thailand climate, after a few unexpected days of cloud and rain, looks good again. I think of my origins, the UK, the winter arrived early there, snow and ice creating havoc. I see the USA mid west has had heavy snowfall already... it looks like a tough winter for many. So post me the pictures of misery from far afield, here is my view today. But guess what, I feel cold, the thermometer was only just above the 20 mark this early morning...(Celsius, USA guys )brrr. I shall float on the pool with a cold one later, when it warms up a bit, a delicate toe will tell me when it is safe to take the plunge without testicular retraction. Seasons greetings and all the best for 2011 to all.

What is wrong with a person of western origin,who has retired to Thailand, airing his views? Those living in these places are somewhat oblivious to the gradual changes going on around them, swayed by a liberal media, and aligned to the 'way of thinking' propelled by goverrnment and media. The very way the Australians are being blamed for a boatload of illegals suffering in a storm, while trying to get to Australia. I don't say 'fuck you' I say 'wake up'!
