  1. Now you are into the realms of another prohibited beach activity, often in the news.
  2. I do recall over a decade ago we had a period when it was possible to get waved over by police on the airport approach road, my driver had already prepped me to say he was my brother in law! Doesn't Phuket airport already have a Bolt dedicated area?
  3. Not seen many examples of regs being enforced vigorously here.... if anything in the last few years policing has diminished, particularly on the roads.
  4. I bet they are!
  5. I believe both have validly from date of issue, the single entry for 3 months, the METV for 6 months. So a Single gives you 60 days with an option of +30 extension. (No better than Visa exempt). The METV, you can do a border bounce just before it expires, for a total of 6 months +60 days and an option to extend a further 30. A border run or trip(s) out sometime during the 6 months is also needed, since Permission of Stay is still 60 days per entry. Do not confuse visa validity with permission of stay, a common error. I know, clear as mud!
  6. Robert Downey Jr,
  7. I still keep getting promotional messages from them.
  8. Caddyshack.
  9. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
  10. DO not use the internet to find the answer. If a day (24 hours) goes by without an answer, then it's fair game to use the internet to find an answer
  11. I have seen commentary by our friend Benjamin Hart at Integrity Legal that overlaps some of this, he is more optimistic. His recent comments is that banks are causing many issues, having requirements that have not been stipulated by immigration. The latest in the rumour mill, as an example, a particular bank stipulating that for an affidavit letter (per retirement extension requirements) it requires the 800k to have been on deposit for 4 months. Immigration do not require this. The above commentary about vloggers promoting Thailand is also an issue, I sometimes feel like saying Gabor style 'Shhh, you will spoil it for everyone' (me included). It is a nearly global issue/problem this immigration, I mean if the UK still attracts so many, a country I see now as a basket case, Thailand is definitely rosier.
  12. Yep, also starring Charlie Sheen.
  13. Mostly in Thai, but a lot of cameras and works well from the map. My Mrs just showed it to me. https://ioc.pattaya.go.th/live-cctv There is a bit of flooding to be seen at the time of posting.
  14. Rip Torn
  15. Nick Nolte.
  16. To Kill a Mocking Bird.
  17. I also found KLIA to be a bit of a zoo, a lot of delayed flights, long queues, and planes being moved from one gate to another. It looked like a major transit hub and Indians filled the place. That said, my last trip, via SQ, the airport was a bit chaotic too.
  18. I have used Malaysian Airlines quite a few times on trips to and from Bali, in Biz Class, always finding a price well below the competition (ignoring Air Asia for a few reasons). The hop from Bangkok was never really worth it, but the leg KL to DPS, was usually a more modern plane and I could get a couple of beers.
  19. I can't male my mind up about that 'Space' building. Is it futuristic and attractive, or an eyesore? Investment has certainly come to town since post Covid.
  20. Yes, they know how to get to the top of search lists!
  21. And the Indonesian online customs declaration too!
  22. I certainly would like to fly the A380, rather than the 777, more likely you mean the carriers don't want to fly them.
  23. Try their Biz Class! That is the last Air India flight I did and it was OK. I think I was the only guy up front and was well treated. I got an impression there was a fine scotch that needed to be finished off. Beyond that, and not wishing to pass aspersions, I wouldn't dream of using them!😀
  24. Used them early March, booked via email no issues.
  25. Warbies bread in there now, but check out the chest freezers near the check out tills, for frozen crumpets and steak and kidney pies!
