  1. Loads of them on Soi Buakhao....an interesting world going by! Lucky Corner Soi 7/ Beach Rd
  2. MASH
  3. It seems to be going better than the Pattaya Beach reclamation project.
  4. I sympathize having recently done that both ways. One might think it can't get any worse, well tag on the shuttles to and from Manchester and you realize it certainly can!
  5. I was expecting that... he hammed it up in that film, when usually I regard him as a top notch actor. Very impressive in Mystic River, but that has already been in this thread multiple times. Crackers
  6. Best, when I booked myself into First on the Emirates A380.... Worst, probably my recent shuttle from London to Manchester on BA, although the KLM hop from Schiphol can be pretty crappy too.
  7. Gangster Squad
  8. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
  9. So if there is a new vote and the result is to remain, shall we say best out of 3 and have another one? Or add the results to those of the previous one and see where that takes us? Or do we include the result of 1975 and say 2 out of 3 has been achieved? (Despite the fact that a high proportion of those that voted then are likely dead now!) On the fence Corbyn is actually pushing to remove the Government over this, rather than committing to either support Brexit or support remain! That would make a right mess of the country... a country fed up of referendums and General Elections! That is why Corbyn and many current UK politicians worry me now, pushing their own agendas, rather than doing what is best for the UK. A little 'put the UK first and politics second' (like in WW2) is what is needed, and get on with the job!
  10. Each and every time? Really? So similar to say Turkish Airlines flying to a multitude of European destinations daily, I wish BA could do as well!
  11. Midnight Cowboy.
  12. Thunderstorms and heavy rain.

  13. Papillon.
  14. The way the negotiations are going, and what I perceive to be very negative treatment of the UK by the EU (some will say they brought it on themselves, but I say the EU brought it about due to intransigence), I just want to get out of their domineering clutches whatever comes! The UK will be offering free trade agreements to anyone else who wants to come too. And if they land on your shores, they are yours!
  15. They didn't seem to reduce prices ex-Bangkok for late August.
  16. Cook Hand Luke
  17. Although to put that into perspective... population may not be everything else India would be more important. In 2017, the share of the European Union in the global gross domestic product based on purchasing-power-parity amounted to an estimated 16.52 percent. The EU GDP amounted to 13.92 trillion euros in 2014
  18. Interesting, although it is not entirely unexpected for me.
  19. The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean. (I always remember the lines, 'How'd ya like your horse?'...'Blue')
  20. And similarly I expect the rights of EU carriers to overfly UK airspace and use UK airports and fly into the UK will need to be renegotiated? This was a one way street all along where the UK became a bit player.
  21. And it was my own past response... my memory failed me...... Burt Lancaster
  22. Lee Marvin
  23. There has been a lot of scare mongering lately, the leader of the IMF, Lagarde, recently spoke and I expected her comments to drive Sterling down more. I picked up a free copy of the UK Newspaper, The I, I was very surprised by the anti-Brexit rhetoric, and quite blatant fear mongering, mind you, I had been buying The Mail previously so quite a contrast. I am sitting on the wall again about sending funds to Thailand, rate is currently so low, but the future may hold some very big shocks to the UK economy, and Sterling... I failed previously to move money ahead of the Brexit vote and that cost me 15%! But of course, in the UK, they focus on the important stuff like making misogyny a hate crime!
  24. Today's rates....
  25. I have a 125 Yamaha, had it for about 11+ years now. A bicycle, no, afraid I am a bit too lazy for that. I think it is a bit dangerous for day to day getting about, and wouldn't carry enough shopping.
