I have supplements and will call. Medicare may handle some things after the fact but I think travel health insurance is a cheaper and safer alternative.

I hope you never find out either. This conversation has gotten me to look into travel health insurance for health care on my upcoming trip. Under $100 for my needs on a short trip. So many online ads. One site I thought looked reputable was Lonely Planet. The hard part is finding the insurer.

I believe I was agreeing with your premise. In those days I only had two credit cards. Despite the fact that I always notify the CC company of travel dates and destination, the first card was declined. Had the second card been declined, I would have had to have taken my disease ridden carcass to a bank or ATM or go get TCs from the hotel room safe to pay my bill in advance. etc. I was in no condition to be running around Bangkok.

It is relatively affordable. Was in the ER, two nights on IV meds and meds to go for 1200 USD about seven years ago. Put it on a credit card. You are right though. They wanted cash up front. Glad I wasn't having a stroke or heart attack.

I am thinking City for the league. ManU is playing so much better than last season. Spurs should be in the top four. I have not been impressed with Chelsea so far and Arsenal has played better. Who else? Burnley, Watford, Liverpool? I don't see them in the top four. I am not an expert on the various cups except I follow the Champions League. There are a lot of interesting teams and leagues in Europe. Of course, we don't get many of those matches here and essentially none of other cup matches.
