just BART no "the" needed. The best way to visit parts of the city is BART but areas still need cars - Twin peaks, the zoo, Golden Gate Park, the Golden Gate bridge, Fort Point and many other places it is best to have your own car or wait for busses or take cabs to and hope for the best back. Around downtown, cabs are not a bad way to go. Distances are relatively short and reasonably affordable. One great thing about the City is that most major streets run east to west and north to south, especially north of Market Street. Many are one way. Busses are frequent. You can go from down

We are irreverant. I don't think any fun is poked directly at the Queen though only the the palace guard. They are a fascinating group of men, even for us Americans, who tend to poke fun at anything and everything.

I enjoyed watching Arsenal. They have always been a good passing team. When they are on, they are fun to watch.

Lots around Fisherman's Wharf are now $10 or more dollars per hour. Parking in SF is a nightmare.

I can only imagine the outrage here. Which gives way to aquiescence typically. Long term rates at SFO are $25 per day.

They haven't figured out how to charge for picking and dropping off here. I hope they never do. What a ripoff.

We have in America a concept of no matter how well you dress for work Monday through Thursday, many if not most companies have a casual (dress) Friday. We have an insurance company GEICO (Goverment Employees Insurance Company). It was just that long ago but now open to all. They have a series of TV commercials which are "...surprising? What is not surprising...)" company advertisement. I give you casual Fridays at Buckingham Palace https://www.ispot.tv/ad/wycW/geico-casual-fridays-at-buckingham-palace

Chesapeake was a great read. I enjoyed The Source as I like Middle East history. I may give The Covenant a try. Soth African historical novel. Another great book is Aztec by Gary Jennings. I have not read the sequels. Enjoyed the UK version of House of Cards. I wish there had been more episodes. Ian Richardson was great and more fun as a villain that Kevin Spacey, though Specey is very good.

Yes, I was simply amazed again at Watford again and jumped the gun at the half. Man U? They don't have the horses to fight back from two down. Mourinho made a couple of changes at the half but not enough. City plays a style I like. Always entertaining.

Watford is doing it again. edit: They couldn't hold on. They should have won.

Not sure why Spurs would be sousers when the game is being played in London. Liverpool must adapt to London cuisine. Maybe bangers and mash or fish and chips? Not sure what is a truly London faire.

I enjoyed the first season of Stranger Things on Netflix. All episodes of season two are available on October 27th.

Yes, not perfect and the show glosses over the support of the cartels but does show some of the inconsistencies of between the DEA and CIA. I now have the book on my reading list.

I have been watching Narcos on Netflix. 30 episodes. The first 20 concern Pablo Escobar. Season three, episodes 21 through 30, concern the Cali cartel. It is seen through the eyes of two DEA agents. I have learned a lot watching it. 9 episodes to go for me.

Road Rage and Its Aftermath
midlifecrisis replied to Evil Penevil's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Both of those men are lucky they didn't kill the other. I can't blame the Thai guy quite as much as he could have been killed by the car. I am not excusing him, I just understand why his adrenalin was racing though his system. The cops there need to learn how to separate the parties. It is not just important to prevent secondary conflicts but also in gathering information. I would throw the book at the white guy and give probation to the Thai based on what I have seen. -

A lot of that here in California too. I do keep a distance between me and the car in front and try to with the car behind. I will slow a tiny bit to get tailgaters to go around. I try to time the lights if available. San Francisco's 19th Ave has timed lights. A couple of the major streets where I live do. The expressways in San Jose were timed during rush hour. It helps. Do you all have red light fines? We have them but the courts said red light cameras are illegal so you would need a cop to be present to ticket someone.
