last time i used toom he sent a car that was so fucked it nearly didn't make it to pattaya. Apart from the general mechanical state of the car i spent 2 hours sitting on a seat that felt like i was sitting on a wooden bench. I must of been mad to get in the thing in the first place.

everytime i've stayed their on a monthly rate you have had to pay for the month up front when you check in. cant imagine them giving you a refund if you check out after 3 weeks.

if your talking about the nationwide flex account, the exchange rate i used to get from using an ATM was always better than the rate being offered for sterling by any of the exchange boothes/banks in BKK pattaya or anywhere else in thailand.

Used Tooms Taxis today, Pick up went without a hitch. the driver was in exactly the right place with my name on the sign (nearly my name) got to the car park and was a little disappointed at the rust bucket i was to be travelling in, but not really a problem as the built in Kareoki system provided me with a few laughs. What did piss me off was the 3 hour drive from the new airport to pattaya as the driver announced the traffic was really bad on highway 7 due to construction work and he was taking sukemvit road all the way from bangkok. Any locals no if this traffic problem is likely to be true at the moment or was this driver taking the piss and trying to earn more money by not paying the tolls. I have used toom many times in the past and have always been happy with the service, but never had this driver before!

generally i find air asia really good value for money, although sometimes they have the tendency to cancel a flight rather than run it with only a few people on board. this isn't usually a problem though as they have flights every couple of hours. Have you checked out, Orient Thai Nok Air Bangkok airways Thai Airways worth a look although some are cheaper than others.

i think it is very commenable that some of the BM's here are willing to pledge money to this girls future, as am i. What i would like to know is how this girl would react to random strangers coming into the bar giving her money. fair enough if its lady drinks, what about larger sums of money? Is she likely to put 2 and 2 together and suss out we are talking about her on the internet etc ? If she was to discover this, would it upset her or would she forget about being proud and be eternally grateful ? This depends on her personality. I guess what i'm trying to say is that some people do not like to feel like they are charity cases, what ever their finacial situation. If people are serious about helping this girl it should be done in a sensitive manner. Anyone have any suggestions ?
