Always try and fly with Eithad. I go from Manchester and have flown in May past with them they are totally consistantly good never any problems! Thoroughly recommend them! I have also flown on the 380 with Emirates that too was excellent a beautiful comfy aircraft but not worth the seemingly high prices they are looking on it.

Like others have said buy a cheapy and take it with you, here in the uk £15-18 and either leave it behind or bring it back. I'd rather create the action than watch it!! HAve a good trip forget about the finer details!! plenty to keep you entertained in los.

Thanks farman for the new lead in airline search. I have the same problem every year or twice three times a year just the same as everyone else on this site ! knowing when to book! This time I reluctantly took the advice of Eithad direct and booked when they told me to in June for nov travel. I thought as I usually do, they get my money for a few months etc etc same old same same. Well I did book at £495 and on a 0 percent credit card which has to and will be paid off before I go in Nov. That same flight is now £720 so I reckon I done right. I can get cheaper flights at the moment but number 1 I prefer travelling with Eithad (I have done most with a few exceptions) 2 long stop overs , etc. I like everyone on here want to get there as cheaply as possible I watch the web and the only advice I can really offer is when you see it around the 4-5 mark book it.

I too watched a little of that programme the other night on TV where such matters were discussed. I am a fine printer reader (no not an anorak) I am cautious so that I know what I am up against when and if it happens. I read long ago on my insurance policy that regarding motorcycle hire you are not covered on anything over 125cc! Some will call me a kill joy but those who do I trust never end up in the hospital at least, when they have a fall of their motorcycle. I hire a scooter every time I am in Pattaya I check the bike over thoroughly before I take it I accept that those hiring the bike may have insurance only for the road nothing else. I ride the bike with respect that also applies to other road users but its Thailand and you have to watch like a hawk. The field of vision requires that you watch the footpaths, side streets, street vendors, cars,other Thai mc riding up against the traffic and the worst of all those bastards (no apologies) called motor cycle taxi's. YOU NEED TO BE SWITCHED ON TO RIDE IN PATTAYA. I have on one ocassion had one beer and rode my scooter but not proud of it and would not do it again or recommend it. Regarding the holiday insurance aspect what we must all remember is that insurance companies will do everything to try get out of paying so why give them the chance. They will expect to apply the rules for riding in the uk to Pattaya etc regardless of local legislation. So therefore my advice would be is that if you have not the appropriate licence to ride the bike in the UK forget it in Thailand, also the helmet business, well I just wonder about that one! We are all aware that the helmets used are far from anything approved by the uk and to be quite honest are almost usless. So I think its only a matter of time and unfortunately probably as a result of a serious accident that this will come to happen to the insurance companys advantage. I only point out my views to assist those who may consider hiring just know what you are letting yourself in for. I am no kill joy it can certainly be a pleasant and cheap way to see the place and get your bearings but its not for the weak hearted or the sleeper!

Stop whinging the lad is trying his best to help himself and you out there looking to get accomodation! SO what no oven how many of you would know what to do with one anyway! probably try dry your hair in it or use it as a tumble dryer lol I at home here in this cold shithole of a place called Ireland have a range style oven and I use a £30 electric oven bought in Lidil. So use your napper if you want to play cook!

Will wait and see! I flew with Nok a couple of times internal back in the days when they were competative checked within the last year and they were far from being that. They were an ok airline when I flew with them.

Thanks S mmm I was lead to believe the apartments have been re-done recently. Is there an in room safe can you remember also whats the noise like for sleeping? also whats the access like after bar closes to the rooms?

Anyone ever stay in the DP Apartments on Soi LK Metro ? Just wanting some feed back on what its like to stay there?

Had two friends fly with Kingfisher in May whilst my friend and I went Eithad and all met up in Pattaya the only problem I had with it was they got there before us by a day or two and had their pick of the women! lol. Seriously Mick one of these guys is very particular about everything incl price and his comments were excellent airline and planes. In fact he had to go to India on business two weeks after we returned home and yes he went Kingfisher! So believe me thats a recommendation. If you need anything more specific I can always make a point of asking him.

I stayed in the C and N just accross the road from the main night life of Bangla Rd and also via Bangla Rd to the beach a 5 min stroll. It svery reasonable I think around your time maybe 1000 per night bf included . No pool though at this hotel but their other hotel is a 5 min taxi ride and you are welcome to use it. I have satyed also at the Fancy hotel opposite holiday inn they have a nice little pool and good accomodation but probably near enough twice the price!

I ate there once to try it thought it was ok but a little over priced. The draft beer was cheap though and I met the man himself and he seemed a very nice person. So I for one wish him well in selling and the future as its hard times we live in and no one needs kicked when a little down!

Soi Bukaow Bua barber as you turn the corner at the R con residence heading towards central road its on your left. Shave70 haircut70 ear cleaning service provided I dont know how much never used it but the other services are excellent.

Antibiotics are readily available in any of the chemists over the counter without prescription.
