  1. In otherwords they just dropped the numbers out of a helicopter!
  2. Good man your on your way to total addiction as the others have said. There are a few things I suggest you pay attention to if you want to keep feeding your addiction and keeping your head above the water (unless you are filthy rich). Find reasonable priced accommodation, dont go heavy on the alcohol, read the board we have all come accross most things but saying that we are always learning.
  3. Yes I am far from a newbie but have never managed to do one yet but hopefully next time in NOv comming.
  4. Be careful with Tune if its the same as the one in Angeles its so much for a towel so much for an extra pillow etc etc
  5. Any travel agents I have spoken to and mention China airlines ask me if I am wise ! and would I seriously travel with them. I have never I stick to Eithad, maybe these traavel agents dont get enough commission from CA.
  6. Oh shit ! first time I have booked with Tiger and its only a short 5 day break from Pattaya during my visit there in November ! Its a shame they seem to be messing people about and letting Cebu get the passengers the timings are so much better than Cebu.
  7. Flown with all three and on the 380 great palne I agree but Eithad is my favourite and of the three Qatar would be my least favourite. I find Eithad have better food and service although Qatar usually have more deals on.
  8. I know males who have rode some dogs in their day but never a four legged one !
  9. Drove a motorbike lots in Thailand in the last few years and never had any problems. Stopped once in Phuket and once in Pattaya both times with pillion passengers and we both had helemts. They checked the licence and bike rental aggreement no problems my uk licence was accepted. I bow to Martins knowledge of living there in relation to Thai's being stopped as often but it is my knowledge that this only appears to be happening within the last year or so, prior to that I used to watch in amusement outside the police stn on beach rd the thai police stopping the tourists and ignoring the local goi
  10. AT the last count I heard there was 35000 beds in Pattaya that was a couple of years ago!
  11. Yes I flew with Thai a couple of times from the uk and never again antiquated planes seats clapped out cracked tables as you say etc and like you never again. Their price would put me off anyway its much higher than my usual choice Etihad. I also understand when you say about the asians and on board luggage its just something that seems to be accepted ,they go on like pack mules and any westerner is penalised and by the time you realise its too late! Although that said I have seen cebu pacific tighten down on a few of their own people and charging excess luggage.
  12. You have just ruled yourself out of a job with the Thai tourist board Joe ! anyway it was just a suggestion I am fully awar that water weighs 10lb per gallon imperial that is an does fluctuate with temperature in density! I am quite sure I will survive on other liquids and without your advice as to wether or not I should visit Thailand regardless of the situation.
  13. Perhaps the airlines should consider bringing in extra water and distributing it by the case to passengers getting off a Bkk ? Just a thought although due to be there on 2nd its not bothering me too much!
  14. Sometimes I am glad I am follically challenged (the politically correct for baldies or those of us loosing hair)I too use the barbers on soi bukaow (Bua) and its 70 bhat but you know it all depends on both your state of mind and pocket as to wether you go for the 70 or 200 job as well as other factors such as the atmosphere of the place or your interest in a ladie/s working there??? I dont know about the others here but I am pretty sure there is a challange there to take a lady out from somewhere other than a bar. Anyway on the lighter note we as farangs always pay more than the locals I remem
  15. Want some advice from a regular ? Get the airport -pattaya bus service 124 bhat then at the most 200 bhat taxi from suhkmvit rd in Pattaya to your hotel,or if your hotel is in Jomtien stay on the bus and get off centrally there.
  16. Where you bought it would be a good place to start! Also if bought from the well known Sarah on this board there is apparently no problem getting it sorted.
  17. The other side of the story is that once you get the clap you are more vunerable and susceptable to a re occurrence.
  18. I have eaten there and used the toilets which are located in the accomodation area and they are spotless could eat your dinner off the floor! Always a nice atmosphere about the place although food of equally good quality can be got elsewhere cheaper, not saying the food is expensive!
  19. Me too Jacko I agree 100% I also noticed the cracked plates put me off!
  20. I dont think its is as I have not seen it before my last visit there in May past.
  21. Just have to say this Martin maybe its because of your tight arse! lol
  22. You have been lucky and maybe not flown on thrs out or into clark as this seemed to be the problem one for what reason I dont know. Anyway you are correct the Tiger flights were on offer now up a bit also watch their pricing as its not clear until its too late i.e baggage etc. The big thing I think that will effect cebu sales will be the better timing of the tiger flights for the tourist. also the fact that in my opinnion the customers of Cebu are by no means loyal to them its just destination and prices that are getting sales so it will not cause a lot to move as a form of protest. I would on
  23. Yes I know what you mean having had the experience, and it does not take away from the fact that they are not the best airline but economical and appropriate for some destinations although they are now mostly on time or early this past 2 yrs.
  24. Biscuits in the us are like scones to us thats (scone scoones or whatever) and gravy is gravy as in the brown stuff thses scones ar often served with the likes of chicken etc as part of a meal. I quote this as experience of holidaying in the us nothing more so feel free to correct me but thats my experience. I always used to leave the scone as I thought no I dont do that !
