  1. Just a rant at the time but its no more than the little shit deserves.
  2. Yes just reminded me that's the way it worked on the petrol station on second road before now I see its closed! and the numbers on it were clear and large. I even got a new tube fitted to the bike there one time and no great trouble with price.
  3. Get your hands on some good fake money and get a few people to fill up using this particular lad and crap on him !
  4. Done the Kwai trip 3 times and thoroughly enjoyed it both times were overnight stays up there and then down to do the Temples in Bangkok for the last night. Hell fire pass is a good walk and informative gets its name from the 24 hrs a day labour on it, at night the men striking the steel bars to cut through the rock caused sparks like fire. I would really love to have a nice big comfortable super scooter to travel through Thailand seeing such sites.
  5. I will volunteer to join you in a threesome but I am straight so therefore only interested in playing with your good lady!
  6. Thanks for the good pictures brought some memories back from my first visit to Thailand and walking down that corridor to be confronted with big queues at immigration.
  7. Considering and trying to plan a visit to see a lady in Korat as reasonable as possible but in relative comfort anyone done the trip and can advise me please?
  8. You don't have to stay in a shithole ! lots of places on soi Bukahow very reasonable below 1000 and some way below that. Oh and no I don't have shares or interests in that area I treat this board as I use it ! for news information updates and to pass on any information I can. No point in someone else making the same mistakes as me when it can be avoided. 3500 that's not such a tight budget to have enjoyment. If you look at it this way 800 for meals 800 for beer 1500 for company.
  9. I think they are born with "normal size" but when they discover what is for and population stats as they are would maybe suggest they use it so much they wear it away! ha The man is quite right its not what you have its how you use it ! like the corgi small but wicked! ha. Also no before some wit suggests mine is well lets say I don't fall into the subject category.
  10. Your first time in Los well enjoy ! No one here can really tell you what it will be like for you and as I pause to think of the memories of my first time there I smile and have some great ones. You will go there and be shy, in awe, get drunk and embarrassed the next day (if you drink) My advice in addition to what others may add here is just go have a great time and be prepared to spend a few extra dollars until you become a seasoned visitor (which you will its that infectious) and learn how to control the spending a little and you will be learning all the time and do you know what you will never come close to let alone being ahead of the Thai's with regards to street craft. I don't say that with badness its just interesting watching and hearing about it. Also on this board you will learn a lot. Now as for places to go well we all find our own nooks dependant on taste etc. TTk gave good advice, in relation to soi 7/8 visit before they disappear which in my opinion will not be in the too distant future, the prices are getting expensive there although compared to soi bukahow although on this trip price will not really be a factor to you as you are a newbie(with respect) its just when the habit gets a grip you will be looking on ways of getting there on a tighter budget. Now Soi Bukahow the best way I can describe to you to get around is (if we knew where you where staying it would be easier to instruct) So here goes just start of at Beach rd self explanatory sea beach and then road and be looking up soi 8 which has a sign on the right hand side as you look up Flipper Lodge hotel there are lots of bars around there. so explore that immediate vicinity soi 7/8 and the in between street connecting both which is 3/4 way up on your left as you look up 8. after you have finished there and have not fallen in love or as drunk as a skunk just walk to the end of ether 7 or 8 and the big road in front of you is second road just walk across carefully as its Thailand and the drivers are crazy you are not even safe on the footpath as the scooters use it as an extra lane at times its funny really! When you are across there you will see an area (new Plaza) which has loads of bars with girls many sports tv programmes and cheaper priced drink than before. I think that if you survive that on your first night you will be doing well. So to continue from there what ever time if you walk on up past these bars to the end of that soi you are then onto soi Bukahow just turn right and walk or grab a bhat bus (navy blue in colour (color for usa friends ha) pickup truck with bench seats in rear and an abundance of stainless steel cover sheeting 10 bht going in your direction of travel and push the bell get off where you want) Soi Bukahow as in other parts of Patts you just need to explore and see what suits you. So to end enjoy it we are all of a like minded nature here just some more wealthy than others (I think I can say that with a fair deal of accuracy if not then I apologise if wrong ) Just on your last point about paying most bars are trust worthy there have been stories of "bill padding " which mainly occurs when larger company and lady drinks being bought I have come across this on a couple of occasions and had the matter sorted no problem, to avoid such maybe best if you pay as you get!
  11. Grow your own crocuses ! (well someone had to say it)
  12. Look forward to seeing it ! sounds like a remake of the Bridge over the river kwai which starred Alex Guinness and bringing it into the 21st century bringing out the post war medical effects on humanity.
  13. Just came across your answer as recent as 2 days ago when I was posting a mobile phone within the UK first thing they asked at the post is was the battery removed before wrapping! It can be in the package but not in the device.
  14. Manila is Cebu, Kuwait(absolute shit) Philippine airlines is probably the best although Cebu maybe a fir bit cheaper and its only a 3.15hrs flight so !
  15. Over the past 8 yrs going there 2/3 times a year (yes it does get addictive) and in the latter 3/4 yrs going side trip to AC I have gone from my frist trip of jaw dropping amazing to second trip within 4 mths to crazy and buying lady drinks and falling for sob stories to now a days pleasing myself and having a great time on a much smaller budget. Not through choice though just necessity to feed the habit of regular travel. Your budget of £50 is as most said dependant on your habits and also I will add your age! This I say as well if you're game for multiple women in the day you will be accommodated at a price! I know when I and I am sure others here are the same as we seem to be creatures of habit! I had a prick that just did not know how to say no when I first arrived! up against the bar toilets anywhere ! (ah the memories) Anyway nowadays less of a budget does me I am like the old bull and the young bull ! the young bull saying lest run down the field and bull those 2 cows, the old bull saying lets walk down the field and do all the cows! I now look for the happy hours I never was a gogo man unless with a group where it was a bit of craic for us and the ladies,I just don't like the noise and smoke in some cases. So I eat at places like Robins nest, a café in Soi Lengkee which I forget its named after a place in England and in Neeroys I give the food carts a by ball unless the banana pancake one. Oh and also in the food market in central festival downstairs and in the small café on soi bukahow just down from Bua barber and before the soi down to new plaza. I hire a scooter at 100 bhat a day and my friend and I travel everywhere on it although ditch it at night in favour of drink! You can enjoy Pattaya and more often if you spend wisely and I don't mean being unhappy. So enjoy your first trip !
  16. Well to put it broadly the Indian curry has been adjusted to the taste of the English and the Chinese curry in England again adapted to suite tastes. I am confused though as I have had what I believe to be authentic Indian curry in Bradford one time and I remember it being quite bland light mustard in colour and thin and no cutlery supplied just chapattis. Whilst I have also eaten it thick with chunks of onions peas etc and Chinese similar whereas the Chinese I have eaten in HK has been totally different. But that's what makes the money catering for the established tastes. There is an Indian near to Jomtien blue bus stn (opposite pan pan) and its the best I have eaten in its expensive and I was with a friend who is of Indian extraction so he done the ordering for about 10 of us.
  17. All doom and gloom ah well I off there in 7 weeks time and if the airline is still flying I will be there I don't give a flying (well you know the rest)
  18. Apologies I have not had the time to even look at it again will try soon sorry, I have not forgotten you pm though and was in that site and was thinking when I get the time will sort it so that you get the recommendation credit!
  19. Ah memories soon to become reality again ! Its a shit hole too though
  20. In my opinion not enough of the mangey bastards fried ! I would even pay for the electricity units used!
  21. Good luck to you I avoided the bar as before there were one or two girls with bad attitudes. Its a good location adjacent to Jollyes.
  22. I am probably your nightmare then as my friend and I travel together and being quite broad shouldered myself I try and get a seat away from him. The one you describe is the one I usually go for ! ha I will sit on the isle one so that I can have my share of the four seats with you !
  23. Not directly into Clark ! Just into Manila or you could fly to Cebu and spend a couple of days there then fly direct into Clark and back to BKK Just look out for the promos with Tiger I just missed one there for Jan/fib time roughly £86 retn BKK CRK
  24. Most people including Russians will chat to you if you chat to them. Whilst in Pattaya recently (2 weeks ago) I was sitting in the Atal bar restaurant in soi bukahow just watching the people pass while sipping a wine I noticed an eastern European couple come out of a bar 2 doors up and he was trying to get the motorcycle steering unlocked and failing. I thought for a while and watched as he became more agitated kicking and swearing at the bike and I thought if I did help and his reactions and vision impaired due to drink would I make matters worse. Anyway I went over to help encouraged by my friend and I discovered that he was not drunk just as quite a few men from that area are short tempered. Anyway I tried and very soon discovered that there was something wrong with the ignition barrel and I could not get it released. His lady friend was in tears at this stage and I should have said previously he was shouting at her. So I invited them both to join my friend and I for a drink and we bought them two beer and got chatting. Nice people and from Moscow they showed us some photographs from back home and then the motorcycle owner arrived and got it going and they both left not without thanking us for calming the situation for him and getting them happy again. We exchanged emails and next day I got an email of thanks and appreciation.
