The Charger should work, you just might need an adaptor from British to European or US AC. Most Thai Sockets accommodate both of them. These adaptors are usually cheap and you should get them more or less anywhere in Thailand, ask at the Hotel Lobby. Your Phone should work, inclding SMS, once you made sure your Contract is good for roaming. But for prices I suggest you buy a prepaid Card, 600 - 800 Baht including some 300 Bt worth of calls. As I plan to do a little sidetrip to Bangkok w/o my lady, I plan to go from Dec. 20 to 23, and then back to Pattaya. If you want to explain the term "morning" in a way that it suits my lifestyle (i.e. sometime around noon), we could share a cab, couldn't we? I used to stay there in the last years. I kind of like the Hotel, though it has a lot of downsides. I had a in room massage there once or twice, that was 2 Years ago, I think I paid 300 Bt for an hour. I was just expecting massage, no hanky panky, so I don't know about the cost or possibility of any extras. The massage was ok, the woman a bit on the older side, but I did not care. I really like their 24 Hour Tuktuk Service from the Hotel to Sukhumvit Road and back; very reliable and fun. Sunny

Just started to make me think why a lot of people consider the Residence Garden out of the way; and I got a theory: While the RG is easy to reach with Bahtbus, and only 10 Minutes Walking to Walking Street, the problem (in my eyes) rises from the fact, that the vicinity of the location offers just plain nothing. For me it is no problem to walk 10 or 20 Minutes to the center, or take a cheap taxi or bus, when I stayy at a Hotel with a nice location by itself, be it quiet garden/park setting, be it an interesting neighborhood, a nice view, or some shopping or restaurant area I like, just areond
