Residence gardens
SunnyValentine replied to pattaya_mad's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Absolutely no guest problems at residence garden. Baht buses go all the way to 2nd road and then either to Naklua or turn around and go South on Beach Road. About out of town: Really depends how you see it. FLB is nearer (walking distance) to Residence Garden than to Soi 13, I will say. Only slight problem is that you might have to change baht buses on the way back from Beach Road Sois 2-13, as most of them go Beach Road South, and then 2nd Road North. You will probably have to change Buses (and pay again) at the South Pattaya Road / 2nd Road Crossing. Hope that helps! Sunny -

Looking for condo advice in Pattaya
SunnyValentine replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Forgot to mention: They might be a little late, or not, or maybe it will take them a few month longer. Noone can tell. But my contract states end of May 2005, and I am entitled for financial compensation (12500 Bt / month) for every month running late. So a few month is not really a problem for me. Sunny -
Looking for condo advice in Pattaya
SunnyValentine replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Jack, View Talay means Sea View (Thai linguists please feel free to correct me, this info is based on hearsay!), so the name is kinda Public Domain. The Company I am referring to has 3 projects running, the View Talay Villas (a few Years old, high prices Village compound nextto the VT Residence), the View Talay Residence Buildings (1-4 so far) and the new Majestic Residence Seaside Villas to be constructed starting next Year. here is the Homepage of the company who does part time rental for the VT Residence, you will find some more information, Fotos, Floor plans there. About sailing: Have -
do not stay at the Apex
SunnyValentine replied to sommy's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Went to the Apex Buffet Dinner tonight, which is reallyok for the price of 160 Bt I must say. Was amazaed by the fact they had a "No vacancies" sign posted outside! So when even this shithole is fully booked now, I guess it might get difficult to find a decent spot to crash in Pattaya now! Amazing Thailand! Sunny -
Looking for condo advice in Pattaya
SunnyValentine replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
The project I invest is the View Talay Residence 2. Here is the Webpage for the company, sorry to say that the Page is quite "under construction" since half a Year or more, so some links lead you nowhere. This is Thailand after all ..... They have started selling Blocks 3 and 4 already, at higher prices ...... About living in Jomtien and partying in Pattaya, that's exactly what it is about. I enjoy living in a more relaxed surrounding, with only minutes to go to the absolute mayhem .... A Baht bus needs 10 - 20 Minutes to Soi 8 depending on traffic. With a Motorbike you should be mor -
Looking for condo advice in Pattaya
SunnyValentine replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Jack, I heard about these rip-offs too. Guess they are running mainly on lower priced, more Thai-oriented units. Of course, no guarantee that it can't happen at your block next year, but the same caution applies worldwide, I guess. From an investors point of view, it is advisable to consider either the best projects at the best possible sites (for a price, of course, but with a real chance of improving value over time; the Markland Condo in North Pattaya is all but new, but prices paid for 2nd hand units are skyrocketting!) or at the very low end, cheap, and then rent out, with some fair cha -
The legroom is the main difference, so if you can cope with the space in cattle class there is no reason to upgrade. I can't, so I prefer the Deluxe class on EVA flights. One more thing to mention is that you have individual screens in Deluxe, not sure about cattle on that one. But I never really like to watch movies anyway. You might want to check this out with EVA in case this is of importance to you. Food is the same. Sunny

Sorry, Harris, if I were the Hotel I would not accept the cancellation at all. A story (with some proof) of your mother dying, a heart attack or some other kind of personal atrocity I would probably accept, but just because you have found a cheaper place to stay is definitely no legal reason for a cancellation of a room, pre-paid or not. Looking for condo advice in Pattaya
SunnyValentine replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
A 2 Bedroom Condo with Balcony and direct sea view is very expensive right at the moment. There are some Condos in planning - building stadium, so you might have to check into these and see their offers. Buying a Condo here which is currently built (or planned) is certainly a risk. You are supposed to pay a deposit of around 10 - 15% of the total cost, and then monthly installments over the projected period of construction. What happens when the building company defaults is up to your imagination. Having said that I admit that I currently pay my monthly installments for a new low-rise Condo -
studio , should i buy.....
SunnyValentine replied to accyboy's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Well, are you looking for a studio? Or a one bedroom / 2 bedroom appartment? A studio in View Talay 1 or 2 can be had for 600000 Bt upwards, depending on the size, quality of furniture and greediness / state of desperation of the seller. You get much cheaper rates if you accept to refurbish and check furniture yourself. A lot of people (at least try to) make money by buying a studio for 600000, having the shower and the walls and floor polished, buying some cheap furniture and looking for selling the whole thing for 1 500 000 Bt, with maybe 200000 or 300000 extra investment spent. For a on -
Of course maybe VT2 is the one excemption, and they cannot service it at all. But I never heard of that. (But also don't know anyone who runs DSL from VT2. As a matter of fact, I only know one guy who lives in VT2. No, stop, I think there are 2, but one of them is internet illiterate). Where did you get information on TTT? At the Carrefour shop? My experience there is a hit and miss. Coming back with the same question the next day usually revelas a totally different answer ..... Sunny PS Jinet Number is 038 783793

Leemo, I might be wrong on this, but: All I heard of was that TTT is now covering most of Pattaya at least East of Sukhumvit. I also heard that there are shortages on TTT lines in VT 2. In order to get a DSL connection you need (as far as I know, and I checked this quite thoroughly this summer when I moved here (stay at a house about 300 Meters away from VT2)) 1.) TTT line. Costs some 3000 Bt for install and minimum 100 Bt monthly costs (wnen you don't use it as phone) 2.) Free Modem capacity for your line of numbers at TTT. They assume some 5 or 10% of their phone line subscribers might wa

The 3rd largest thai city is??
SunnyValentine replied to cowboy's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Oslo has less than 600000 Inhabitants. Do you REALLY think half of them are Thai girls? If yes (and you're right) I might hop on the next plane from Pattaya! Sunny -
I just received some PMs from PSBG concerning the matter. As they are private, I do not want to post anything from them. Just a general comment: I have little doubt that the pattayawebcam site is a scam. The Member card offers unauthorised price reductions, that has been proven by a lot of posts already. I do not have enough insight into the whole Tiptop and Asia frenchise Situation. So I cannot comment about it. pattayascam accuses Mr. Geister on several points here, I stand aside, do not want to investigate this. The projected sale of the pattayawebcam site I see as a rather nor

Buss from airport in Bangkok.. to Pattaya?
SunnyValentine replied to AL151's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I don't remember all details, but the price for a 4 hour Min-stay in Bangkok Airport Hotel was higher than the taxi ride to Pattaya for sure. I was in same situation two Years ago, so I enquired at the Hotel. Sunny -
Definitely very difficult. Start your massmailer now. Accept any offer you get no matter what price. Sunny

Sorry to hop in, but: The headers of the Emails published in the first Edition of this Page are definitely faked. The information relevant to see this is in German, so maybe some people get it. This hass seemingly been corrected since September. As Cybers pointed out in his example: -----Urspr|ngliche Nachricht----- Von: Michael Brown [mailto:brownmj@yahoo.com] Gesendet: Mittwoch, 21. I very much agree on that rite of passage thingy (done it my own) but have yet to read or hear about a sailor who wants to get thrown into water everytime he crosses the Equator. Nana Hotel is fine for the first time in Bangkok, but should be avoided (to stay there, not the Restaurant / the bar / the disco / the Parking lot) right after! Sunny

Christmas in pattaya-- cant get a hotel
SunnyValentine replied to robio's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Agree with Torrenova. HAve used CCs often, online as well as in Shops all over the world, so far never a problem. I guess it is really important to have two or three, as I am quite dependent on them financially, I guess when I lose my only one I would be quite desperate. Sunny -
