  1. Right you have the flight booked, time off work, 6 weeks to go. Do you make an effort to loose a bit of flab ? Try to get your arobic fitness up to a reasonable level ? Don't want to run out of steam in 30 seconds do we ? Or do you think- Whats the point ? I'll score anyway ! I like to get a bit trimmer, do a bit of walking to get the blood pumping ' cos it's a long way to go, to keep falling asleep after 5 min's effort. I allways trim my eyebrows. It takes years off you. How many die their hair ? Just wondered
  2. Must have made you think you were back in Pattaya.
  3. I have been aproached by the lady who owns the local Dog Groomers, (yes she is a fair sort) to see if I can find some Gucci or LV coats and leads for her show dogs. A freind of hers got some from LOS. I am sure I have seen them, but can't remember if it was in Pattaya, or Bangkok. Any help apreciated as usual.
  4. From Beach Road to the 4th bridge, I love this forum
  5. Why, do you thin I can't afford $12.8 billion WW11 debt ?
  6. Thanks Monkey, I'll walk along 2nd, save 10 bht
  7. What is the latest state of Beach Road ? traffic still crawling past those holes ? beach path still an assault course ?
  8. Thanks montydog, Not a brand I knew about.
  9. Turn left from Customs. Ignore the offers of a taxi in Terminal. Walk outside to Taxi booth. Get taxi for about 1300 bht, have a kip for 2 hours after giving driver 120 bht for toll.
  10. Well done Son, It is heart warming, to see a genuine show of greif from a Boss for one of his staff. I hope some members of this forum, who have never visited LOS, get a better understanding of the people who have and those like yourself, who live there. Om, was the same age as Lucy. My heart goes out to her Mum and Dad, there is no cultural divide in greif.
  11. Ray, Can you immagine, being at U.S Customs, with a rifle and telling them it's a gift for Mr Sky' ? Shutters would come down, light flash and I would be speadeagled against a wall in no time. No, the poshest sports shop I visited was Hardy's in Granton on Spey. I couldn't afford a fishing rod there, let alone a gun. Nah, I'll stick to a leather thong- (not literally) as a gift. Sky's theory about me being a Stock Market Mogul, are way off. Mind you, that advise I gave recently to sell shares, seems to be good advise for the last week or so- Ford among others issued a profit warning, America had a record trade deficeit in February and consumer spending is down. Good time to buy though. Sky, I am glad you only shoot creatures that have deprived others of their liberties. I shall be carefull about taking liberties with your wife, unless she askes me to of course.
  12. And you didn't shoot it ? Good Lad, there's hope for you yet !
  13. I guessed it was a helmet, is it one of those shaped like a German Army ? The ones with American Navy on, they sell in PTY. I bought a helmet in Big C, got the GF a half decent one with visor. She had her stolen at the market up country. A policeman wanted to fine her 200 bht on the way home, she offered him 300 if he caught the thief, he let her off the fine.
  14. O.K, I have to ask, what is a Roof Boxter ?
  15. The only motorbike I will cock my leg over, is the GF's at home. She is extra carefull, but likes to drive on the quick side. Some of the bits of plastic, that pass as a crash helmet in LOS, are a joke. My Arai cost £200 a few years ago, but I feel safe-ish wearing it. Thing is, a broken leg/arm/back are best avoided. That's why I will travel by 4 wheels in Pattaya thanks.
  16. Just got back from Brentford a nice 1-0 win against Tranmere. We now go 4th. Playoffs, here we come.
  17. Last year I went to the GF'S home for Loy Krathong. I sponsered 3 football teams, one of which got into the final and lost on penalties. Watched 3 games in all. The opposition supporters kept plying me with Chang. Then the team were presented with a case of it, for having the loudest supporters. After that it was a concert 'till about 1030pm, I missed all the fireworks, but went to the river at Tamphan Hin, to float a Krathong. This is where it got a bit tricky, booze, slippery river bank in the dark and flipflops. I wanted to go down the steps, but my GF said it would be better upstream. So half way down the bank, I slip up, drop the krathong- candles and flowers everywhere, bruise my arse and get covered in Nam River mud. Put the thing together and float it out. The Gf says to bring luck, we must get another one'cause that one was damaged. By now, I was not talking to her, so she did the 2nd one herself. Next day, I have to stand by, while she relates events to all her freinds. I thought they were going to ask to see the bruises. So remember, booze, darkness and water can be hazardous.
  18. May is low season. Flew out 20th May last year on Tha,i total of 79 paxs on a 747. After this latest quake, it may be worth waiting for a seat sale. Staff allways travel in May.
  19. As wellcome as a win is, it was a bit of a hollow victory, we have just about put a British team out of the Cup. With Wales and Scotland losing, it will be down to us and S. Ireland to carry the flag. As patriotic as I am, the addition of the Scots, Welsh and N.Ireland fans in Germany next year, would have made it more interesting for me. Instead they will all be relegated to watching the games in the pubs and clubs, cheering Englands opposition. It is becoming a way of life now. Yesterday must have seen the least English Prem' players, playing against England.
  20. Right Alan and Co' New manager, team focused- give them Iti's a good beating. 2 points ain't enough for the next round. Go on, I might have a few bob on the Sweaties to pull off a shock result, give me a goal scorer for the first one.
  21. My condolences to all at FLB. This kind of thing, does put all faiths to the test. The saying "Only the good, die young " comes immediately to mind. Om was one of the few FLB staff, I had a little time with. Once while alone, she came to read my Amusing Thailand cartoon book. We had a bit of a giggle about the content. In that short time, it was obvious, that she was a lovely person. The Dalai Lama has the opinion, that those who die young are in fact, Great Teachers in disguise. They teach us the value of life, the greatest lesson of all. Make your own good times, life will sort out the shit one's for you. May her God bless her. R.I.P luv xx NNH
  22. Skytrooper, can't understand my Limey talk. This lot is Greek to me.
  23. Thank goodness! The thought of you lot trying to understand the "Offside" rule, would be a nightmare
  24. Growler If we can't win against Crewe A. I don't want promotion. Chance is, they may be playing Brentford next year, that will be a division of loyalties for me.
