The Cherry Bar 3rd Anniversary Party
short replied to Hammer's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Hammer, I might have a little trouble finding your new bar so if you should get a strange call just send a taxi to pick me up and deliver me to your bar. -
I hate that I will be missing this party. Have always been treated well by pieman. I'm sure I'll get a chance for a roll this year in the hay eventually with the pie ladies.

Mescalito, I posted this specific example because everyone was requesting a specific example. And that's all it is a specific example. Don't get me wrong, I expect businesses to reserve the right to censor all communication. But I also expect businesses to use that right responsibly. Sir, with all due respect, I disagree with you on this statement.

Ok, since no one seems to have a clue I will give an example. But I'm not going to name the business involved because I prefer positive motivation to negative motivation. While cleaning out my luggage from my previous trip long ago I discovered an unopened copy of "Thailand Fever" that I had purchased and forgotten about. I was as delighted as the guy that walked into a bar and recieved a free barfine. So I shared the story in one of the Thailand Forums. To my shock it was promptly deleted. After I finished reading the book the next day the reason became obvious to me. The appendi

Papillon, we all know of examples of unwarranted censorship in Pattaya. Rather than making negative remarks about the places that are doing it, I prefer to promote the ones that don't. I decided to start the drive on this particular board because I knew I wouldn't have to worry about the drive being deleted.

Neither. It is clear that unwarranted censorship is on the rise in Pattaya. Fortunately FLB and the other businesses advertising in this Business Forum have successfully kept it in check. And I hope to keep it that way by establishing a way for newbies (for example) to know which businesses don't include unwarranted censorship in their business model. I'm not asking any business to give up their legal right to practice censorship. I'm just asking them to continue using it in a responsible way and to let others know that they do use it responsibly.

I came up with this idea for a non censorship pledge and I would like to ask all business owners in this forum to take the pledge. I'm working on a patch or window sticker or something that everyone that takes the pledge can display in their posts or business windows. I'm up for suggestions on how to better word the pledge. I may add a poll to it also to get opinions. I want it to be a pledge between gentlemen therefore everyone must be satisfied with the terms. The pledge: As a business owner, I agree to not participate in unwarranted censorship. Warranted cen

Pattaya Beer Garden - lookin' or chillin'
short replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
This brings many stupids thoughts to mind. What ever happened to using something like metal rings worn on the fingers or dots on the forehead? What about issuing "certificates of authenicity and health" for the girls. I'm sure it would make the guys more comfortable picking up beach road girls. It would be really cool if the bar could on demand make a two sided red/green coaster using the customer's personal avatar. Joking aside I think this is a smart move. I know I walked out of a beer garden in Bangkok because I wasn't sure what the rules were. -

BigD, just stop and ask for directions next time. No one will think bad of you. At least not the girls -
No American slices hotdogs into flower shapes because hot dogs are made from the left over remnants of the beef factory. No American uses itsy bitsy tomatoes as a danish. And no American makes eggs in round hoops. This is BS.

geedeeo Bob doesn't handle criticism well. But that defies the point the he tries to give a good product. Don't confuse how well he handles critisism with the quality of the food he delivers. Although he doesn't know the internet well he produces some damn good texas food.
