  1. Yes it all went pear shaped back with Sterling Hayden. Henry Fonda
  2. Don't be so naive and believe everything you hear or read in the media. However bad "they" say it'll be i.e. those that wanted to remain, it won't be anywhere near as bad as that. The repercussions of all international passenger and cargo flights being grounded for even a few days would be catastrophic. In short, it wouldn't happen.
  3. While we're on the subject of Paul Simon I'll post my favourite track of his:
  4. The Jane Fonda film? I had no idea she was in that?
  5. If you haven't taken the time to listen to Arcade Fire yet then you should as they are an amazing band. I haven't got round to seeing them live yet but I am definitely going to see them the next time they are touring England as they are supposed to be great live.
  6. What do you think would have happened if you didn't have a copy of your passport? I've had to use mine every time I do that. It's a nuisance.
  7. Next trip: Bangkok - Pattaya - Hanoi - Halong Bay - Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City - Pattaya

Yes I think it's about time I did a TR

  8. An hour is totally insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Good luck and I hope everything runs smoothly. Your efforts in keeping the site running are much appreciated.
  9. I can't see the pound becoming that weak but if it does I will still go. I, like you, started going to Thailand when it was 70 baht to a pound. It was fucking brilliant back then - pretty much all bar girls were good to go for 1k baht long time which including the bar fine worked out less than £20. Such fun and so many amazing memories. You're right, there's no place quite like Pattaya and I'm sure I'll always be addicted so I will always go no matter what the exchange rate is but I am in a very good position financially these days so that's easy for me to say, if I wasn't then I probably woul
  10. I think it's about time I get my international driving licence considering I've driven in Thailand every time I've gone there without one.
  11. Lately? We haven't had a thread about foie gras in Pattaya for some time either. Do the honours would you please?
  12. Wise move. When I was living in Pratumnak and I wanted to get to Metro or the top end of Soi Bhukhao past that I often used to cut through Soi 15 and "piss alley" to get to Soi Diana and then through Metro.
  13. I was playing the Swordfishtrombones album in the car the other day.
