I must also add my endorsement for the excellent service provided. For something a little different, our pick up was from a lesser known BKK hotel and Jan was there an hour early and was happy to wait as we had arranged for a third person to meet us at the hotel for the trip to Pattaya. Return trip was from from the Areca to Bkk airport and again Jan arrived half hour early and was happy to go out of the way to take us via Walking St so G/F could drop some things at her room. Still only one official entry for the Texas scramble event - Duece, English and Pieman. They will be hard to toss particularly if English is the scorer. Fair chance that after the cricket tonight there may be a second official entry from the Bangladesh team although this may leave the Aussies a little short.

Stoace, I cannot specifically advise about Thai Air but would assume that all airlines treat golf clubs the same way. Singapore, Qantas and BA do not even weigh the clubs and they are not included in your baggage allowance. Because of this I always stuff as much as I can into the golf bag as it is an easy way of getting more through if you are close to the limit on your normal baggage. Steveo

Just returned from 10 days in Pattaya and stayed at the Nova Park. One bedroom suite for 1500b per night. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. No problem even with multiple guests and has a great Irish pub (Jamesons) on site. Very good sized rooms and bed, in room safe and nice swimming pool and very quiet. Only drawback is that it is a little off the beaten track.
