Doggie, Don't want to put too much of a dampener on the idea but would not allowing the purchase of mulligans put the result of the competition down to those with the biggest wallets? In my case though it would be very handy although expensive 18 x ???b = ????b. ::) ::) Still cheaper than the losses last year to that pair of burglars. :-[ :-[ Best wishes for your birthday M8. 50 ain't all that bad - just look upon it as being another year closer to the time when you will be able to spend 6, 9 or 12 months a year in LOS if it takes your fan

Steveo = Europe (I think) :-/ :-/ :-/ XXXL Thanks M8 -
Agree with you on the shirts Duece. I left mine behind last trip too. Gave it to my companion on the last evening. Think the FLB advertising on it would have just raised one more awkward question back home here and there were enough of them already. ;D ;D ;D

Saigon, I get in late on 28th and am staying at Asia Airport Hotel then heading back to airport to meet up with doggie who gets in at 2:55pm on 29th. Leave it up to you but we could have a drink and some lunch at the hotel (not far from airport) if you want. Being Thailand, anything may happen though. Last trip I had planned taking Thai limo only to find upon arrival they had no cars available. Finished up with another hire car which was pretty good but a bit more expensive. Thats why I decided to book and pay in advance this time the Pattayalivecam limo

Saigon, Doggie and I have a limo booked for 3:00pm from terminal 2 Bangkok Airport to Pattaya on 29th. Plenty of seats available if you are interested and you would be more than welcome to join us. Steveo

Bigdan, I have booked in there for 3 weeks from 29th October. It was recommended by a friend who stayed there earlier this year and will also be back there at the same time as me. I always think return custom is a good recommendation particularly where there is such a wide choice as there is in Pattaya? When are you planning to be in Pattaya? Steveo

Hey, the 4000b entry was like petty cash compared to what Doggie and myself lost to that other canny Scotsman and his Norwegian partner out on the course. :'( :'( :'( :'( So lets put to rest the idea that Doggie played dead to assist the European team. ::) ::) ::) Some good ideas there Gren. Like previous posts, I would endorse that the event is a great fun day and well worth the cost. Looking forward to catching up with all returnees and any new starters in November Steveo

Many thanks Ray. I have been suffering mental anguish over the past 10 months about my form in the Riderher Cup last year and you may have solved the problem. It was those damm rental clubs!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Gren/Doggie, There is a good old Aussie saying - "When you're on a good thing, stick to it". ;D ;D ;D

Twistgrip, Deuce has posted a pic under the thread Riderher cup: where is it? -
At least that is one new rule I won't have to worry about unless it also applies to understating your handicap. ;D

A quick word in the defense of Doggie. After all he did have a partner last year and it is easy to understand how Doggie can handle St Andrews so well as he got so much practise last year hitting out of the rough where his partner always managed to leave him. ;D ;D

G'day M8, Just to make it official - I will be there again. Handicap as many as possible. Not surprised the Yanks have given us the big boot ;D ;D ;D Seeya Steveo

A husband takes his wife to play her first game of golf. Of course the wife promptly hacked her first shot right through the window of the biggest house adjacent to the course. The husband cringed, "I warned you to be careful! Now we'll have to go up there, find the owner, apologize and see how much your lousy drive is going to cost us." So the couple walked up to the house and knocked on the door. A warm voice said, "Come on in." When they opened the door they saw the damage that was done, glass all over the place and a broken antique bottle was lying on its side near the broken wind

Mick, Currently at Boronia in Melbourne - don't know for how long though. Only renting here. Have a house at Lake Macquarie in NSW where we will be returning some time. Good luck with the booking. Cheers Steveo

Spot on Turbo. It seems to me that BA are pulling a real con job. They have downgraded their economy class to below the standards of other major airlines and added a new premium class at 1.5 times the normal ecomomy fare for a standard of travel about the same as the others. Got caught with them last time through booking Qantas but getting a BA operated flight. > > Have just booked next trip and made sure it is QF1 and QF2. Once bitten twice shy. :) :)

Just seen great deal from Aus to Bangkok. Singapore Airlines A$450 return from East Coast for departures to 31/8. Does not suit my timing for trip but suggest any Aussies interested should investigate. Came from a site called "Best Flights"

Is that the green and gold one? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Norm, Don't take this as a recommendation but there is a site http://www.pattayalivecam.com that offers free legal advice to members. Probably do no harm checking them out. Good Luck
