If you are after 5* try Nai Lert Park (fromerly Hilton). Had a night there about a year ago(while still the Hilton) and was a fine hotel. Prices on their web site from 3800b seem reasonable for what you get. Steveo

After having had a pretty mediocre season on the U.S. circuit Aussie golfer Peter Lonard was given a gold chain with gold bhudda attached as a gift about a month ago. He has worn the chain in his last three tournaments and won them all - N.S.W. Open, Australian Open and Australian PGA. He can only put this rare feat in the world of professional golf down to the bhudda chain. He is now favourite to make it four in a row in the Australian Masters which commences today. With the state of my golf game a bhudda chain will be top of the shopping list next trip to LOS.

Hilly, Not sure of the situation in LOS but over the past few months I have developed a bug for internet auction sites and there are some real bargains to be had. My golf game is well past help from any sort of new equipment but I have noticed some excellent gear being offered on the best known auction site (E Bay) and some other local auction sites over here. Doggie, Not sure if I should answer this one as the two captains will probably say play it whenever Steveo is not available based upon past performances in the last two events in which I hold a perfect record of two losses one on each team. I had every good intention of actually getting in a bit of practise for this years event but as you know this will not be possible for a while at least. Anyway M8, don't worry about my input for an exact date - If I'm there at the time chosen well and good, if not I'll just have to find some other pastime.

Doggie, Hmmm - considering the event will be televised around the world it would sure be an interesting site. :-[ :-[ Maybe we could also organise some of his favourite protective covers for his woods - condoms - but in consideration of the magnitude of this event perhaps they should be unused rather than the used variety that he seems to favour. ;D ;D And maybe you could arrange your No. 77 caddy to look after him during the event. :P And what if he happened to win - damm sure he would lose the trophy. :'( :'(

sinbibjack, Koenig is a great friendly no hassles spotless hotel at a very reasonable price. Food there is excellent too. However it would not be really suitable for you unless you were prepared to use the motorbike taxis (available right outside the hotel)rather than baht bus. It sounds like the motorbikes could be a better form of transport for you anyway as they can drop you right at the door of the place you are going to. Even if you were elsewhere and used baht bus it is a fair hike up Walking St to get to places like FLB and the bikes would get you a lot closer. Go

G Spot has big screen and popular for watching big matches. Dang's bar cnr Soi Diamond and Walking St has private room at the rear with a large screen and pretty attractive company if you get bored with the game. ;D ;D ;D

Hey Deuce, In the interests of fairplay my friend, if my memory serves me correctly, there may have three others in the group that day who adopted similar poses at various stages during that round - in fact 3 out of the 4 on the same hole and No 77 was always the first to insist on the pants coming down but there is no doubt she has a special interest in Doggie. :P

I would like to add my thanks and appreciation to the organisers of the event in particular Ben and Doggie who put in so much hard work and prior to the event put up with unwarranted criticism from some whinges. It was again a resounding success and some of the new innovations this year went to make it an even better event than last year. Bring on Ridercup No 3. Steve

SB,Thaidane, Don't think this is an issue. A couple of us just fronted up at the course last year and there was no problem in hiring a set of clubs. Steve
