  1. Dr Darika is another female dentist at Pattaya International Hospital who also signs while she work on your teeth.
  2. I hope they haven't raised their price on their limo pickup service at the airport. A few years ago it was a bargain at only 12,000 baht.
  3. I would think that it would be even a bigger issue for the TG. Every BG that I've been with always brought up me taking a shower prior to any fun starting even when I just had a shower only 30 minutes prior. I know I would want the girl to take a shower, but back in my high school days in the back seat of my car at the drive-in, a shower was the last thing on my mind.
  4. Vidman and Jack are both correct regarding the ferry fares to Koh Larn. There are 2 different ferry operations working out of the Bali Hai pier. The one for 150 baht is R/T and has about 4 departures a day and that ferry will take you directly to a beach on the north side of Koh Larn. The one for 20 baht is one way and has about 6 departures a day and you will land at the main pier on Koh Larn. There is no beach there just a few stores and a couple of hotels. From there you either walk, take a motorbike, or a baht bus to the beach of your choice. The baht bus mode will cost you between 20 and 30 baht one way depending on which beach you choose. I go to Samae Beach on the west side of the island and the baht bus is 30 baht each way.
  5. The point I was trying to make is that by now the entire soi could be torn up and whether you go left or right you'll be walking on dirt/mud until the project is completed. If you arrive by taxi you could be lugging your bags from that small market just north of the hotel. I'll be back in town on the 8th and my appartment is nearby so I can check on the status of the roadwork.
  6. You forgot to include the photo of the roof top pool with the TGs lounging around in thong bikinis. I wouldn't scare off any newbies due to location as its only about a 5 minute walk to Pattayaklang or over to the Bangkok Bank on 2nd Rd. I think you guys left before the road construction started on Soi AR. When I left Pattaya mid Oct the soi was torn up from Pattayaklang to just south of the new Nova Amari and it looked like they were planning to tear up the road all the way up to where it intersect with the soi that runs behind the Big C. If so then your looking at another Soi Honey fiasco where your walking in mud after it rains and very limited access.
  7. Thanks for the reply. You said you didn't see anyone naked or any lesbo shows so what is the difference between a dancer and a showgirl?
  8. How about the prices for a barfine and what are the dancers expecting for S/T and L/T?
  9. I don't want to find out what their monthly rate is, I made a statement that I've never heard what is their monthly rate. You made a statement earlier that you hype Skytop because of their low price, well how can one make a judgement about their low price if they don't know what is the price. You critize Tom for bad mouthing the place when he's never stayed there, yet you hype the place about their low prices, but appear to not know what is the price.
  10. Like I said before I have yet to hear what is the monthly rate, is it a secret? Many other place just as close or closer to good markets. Where I stayed before, the distance to Carrefour was about the same as the distance from the front of the Festivale Center to the back where the Big C is located and my cost worked out to less than 300 baht a day and we were the first to stay in the room.
  11. I've never stayed there only seen photos and heard about the place from others. What I didn't care for about the place was that the rooms didn't have balconies as I like natural light (heard one report that one room didn't even have a window) in the room, fresh air blowing in and a place to air out and dry your clothes. Also the photos I saw of the bathroom left alot to be desired. Much better places to stay if you look around, Bella Vista between Sois 7 & 8 where offering rooms for 650 that includeed a breakfast. And while Skytop's daily rate is competitive among budget hotels I've never heard a monthly rate mentioned in all the years its been hyped. Location is vastly overstated unless one is staying at a location that is off the baht bus route.
  12. A new hotel is being built across from the PP massage. Don't know when it is scheduled to open but it looked close to being finished 2 weeks ago.
  13. That's exactly what I used to do, also would ask for the same room I had on the last trip and for the same rate.
  14. I've been away from the board for a week, did I miss something about the relocation? The last I heard Denny was looking for someone to share a house for 6 months a year.
  15. When I walked by the place in mid Oct I noticed a "For Sale" sign outside. I thought that BigD should buy the place and put Mrs D to work as manager so that he could then chase the BGs while she's busy making the baht.
  16. Its located on the north side of Soi Diana but before you get to that soi that Lolitas is located. A guy by the name of Bobby is the owner and he has 2 other outlets in Pattaya, one across from the Big C and the other located in Topps food court. If you need a motorbike he sells them too at 19,900 with a 3 year warranty.
  17. The punters must be abusing this place as it opened around 2003, the back wing was then completed a year latter.
  18. let me add to the other favorable reports that another hotel is being built right next to this hotel on Soi 3.
  19. I walked by the ass end of the Areca about 2 weeks ago on soi 14 or is it 15. Anyway they had cleared the area directly behind Areca and looks like either the Areca is expanding or another hotel is going to be built. If so, then you might have some construction noise to deal with on your stay.
  20. It a small place, about 45 rooms. I don't think they have anyone working who is both computer savy and with English skills. The only thing I was aware of was a suicide attempt on either the 2nd or 3rd floor. A TG was upset with her English boyfriend going out most nights without her. We were the 1st residents of room 408 and stayed until the middle of Sep.
  21. Harvey, Take a look at the other LK Renaissance thread on this page, last post.
  22. You should have made it 50 baht, that way when Roly gives the waitress a 50 baht note there would be less chance of him getting short changed 5 baht.
  23. A few things come into play when getting a lower rate than others. Dave is a repeat customer, he's staying for a total of 3 weeks and its in Nov a slower month which might have had alot of vacancies. You have never stayed with them and its for only 1 week. Also they might only have a couple vacacies at this time so they are not pressed to offer a large discount. If you were to contact them 1 week before you arrived and they still had an opening you would have a better chance of getting a much lower price. That all said it doesn't hurt to ask them to match his price or something in between.
