Never been inside Town in Town. Here's an email for the 75 Mansion never used it so I don't know if it works: 75mansion@hotmail.com Try to get room 408, its the one I had and provides the best breeze to keep your A/C use to a minimun. I never had a water/electric bill over 1200 for the 3 years that I stayed there. If you got TGF over there, why don't you should just let her to do the looking? Many new places have been built near Carrefour over the past 2 years.

or some 40 kilo TG. So did you have your TGF cook those fish for you for dinner? -
I sent you a PM regarding Town in Town but now that I see your budget is 15k you might want to consider this option. Before I recently moved I was staying at the 75 Mansion, I was paying 7500 a month but had been staying with them since they opened and they hadn't raised my rent. I think they charge a little more now. It didn't have a pool or lift so they might be deal breakers for you. It was a good size studio that had a area for cooking. By this I mean a counter area and a sink for cleaning dishes. A balconey that had a water outlet and drain so that the TGF could do the laundry and hang out the clothes to dry. It was just a short walk to Carrefour and the baht bus line.

Town in Town hotel just recently changed to seeking the long term stayers. They were advertising 1 month stay at 6900 baht.

You saw the part of my post about the road work I hope. When I left about a week ago the road had been torn up from PattayaKlang on this road to just about 50 meter south of the the place. They were tearing up this road the whole 6 weeks that I was in Pattaya. When you arrive this road construction could well be in front of the place so you may have to lug your luggage by hand down the road as you won't have access by car. When you go out you could be walking on dirt and if it has rained, then mud. If you had read about the work down on Soi Honey a few months back you'll understand what you could be in for as that project had that soi shut down for over 2 months and the lenght of this project is longer.

We're talking about an entirely different hotel.
-
The top floor you might have a sea view. Pinewood is further north and west. This soi, when not under construction) will take you from Pattayaklang to North Pattaya Rd although it does change names and has two way traffic which is used heavily for those that want to avoid the signal at the intersection of Pattayaklang and 2nd Rd. Right next to it is another hotel (can't remember its name, Siam something) that opened within the last year but is geared to the budget traveler as the rooms where around 800 baht and then just around the bend heading north is the Nova Park. Right next to the Nova Park the Nova group just recently opened another Condo called the Nova Suites and when I walked past there they had a "For Sale" and "For Rent" sign out front.
-
First, its not on the same soi as All Seasons. Its on soi AR if thats any help. If you head north on this soi you'll go past the Nova Park hotel. Shortly past the Nova Park you'll come to an intersection where if you stay on soi AR you'll come out at the Bangkok Bank on 2nd Rd nearly opposite Soi 6. If you take the other direction you'll come to the as end of the Big C. That soi is being torn up to install new water drainage between Pattayklang and the Nova when I left Pattaya about 5 days ago. I wasn't aware that they had completed construction and when I had walked by in this past this place was be advertised as a Condo project. While this soi was pretty isolated in the past, now its very active and when they open that new disco up towards the Big C expect even more traffic.

The site says that in the fun lake the fish are smaller and range up to 80 kilos while the other lake is where you catch the larger fish. Sounds like at that lake you'll need to be fishing from one of those chair where they strap you in. -
Thats not long enough to get a reduced rate and mid January is after the peak but still very busy. You shouldn't have any problem finding a place as new places are opening every month and with your budget at 2000 baht. I've heard that Tim's rooms have jacuzzis so if that appeals to you it may be worth the extra baht.

When are your arriving and how long is your stay?

I like Carrefour. They have a wide selection of food, its close to my appartment, their prices are reasonable (bought a fresh watermelon the other day for 5 baht a kilo or less than 7 cents a pound for us Yanks) and if your purchase is at least 1000 baht they will deliver it free to your place. I eat and enjoy Thai so I'm not looking for any Falang food, in fact when they have the Carrefour TGs handing out samples of lunch meats I frown and tell then I would like some dom bak khon and always get a chuckle.
-
For 500 or 600 baht my TGF might be interested in earning some mad money.
-
Some of the hotels require the TGs to have a swim cap which will cost you more if you buy it at the hotel pool.

That was back in August. Don't know the address as I found it walking. Its located just north of Carrefour off of Soi SS Villa. Take a right on the first soi north of Carrefour (about 100 meters) and walk all the way down towards the Town in Town Hotel. The house was on a corner with a security guard shack across from the house.

Not really. Just pointing out that there are bargains out there if people are willing to get off their ass and check out the areas just off the main drag instead of sitting in their rooms surfing the net. Prior to finding my current place I found a nice 3 bedroom house just a short distance behind Carrefour for 15k. Only problem when my TGF called the number and talked to the owners TGF she asked my GF what nationality was I. When she replied American the TG said that her boyfriend was from Irag and didn't want to rent to an American. Its an appartment with 4 2brs, 8 1brs and 3 studios. No lift but my 1 bedroom is about 550 sq ft with 2 large balconies (100 sq ft each). It came furnished and you have to clean the place yourself. It has sophon cable which is another 300 baht a month.

The place I'm staying around Centeral Pattaya has 2 bedroom units for 16K a month. The place opened in September but currently all 4 units are filled. If I hear of an opening I'll let you know.
-
The new name is the Capital or Capitol and its located just south of the Pinewood.
-
No, the place you have is part of the LK properties and is located behind the Leng Kee restaurant which is also part of the LK corporation. The place I'm refering to is a small place located just off of Pattayaklang near Carrefour. There is no website. Here is an email address but I don't know if it works as I've taken it off a business card. 75mansion@hotmail.com

I had been staying at Mansion 75. It was a short distance to Carrefour and the baht bus route. Cost was 7500 a month plus utilities and you got houseekeeping every 2 weeks free. It was a decent size studio of aroung 32 square meters. Place is only 3 years old and has good security but no pool.

Emil replied to tobybangkok's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
