Finding a laundry is about as difficult as finding TG companionship. If your looking at cost, the hotels are the most expensive and most of them send it to a nearby laundry and add a pass through cost. The cheapest are the ones located on the other side of 2nd Rd where I've seen T shirts for as low as 7 baht. On my last trip I found the cheapest as I brought a spare iron and bought a small ironing table and let the TGF take care of it.

Yes, its located between Inn House and Ma Maison.

I'm sure there are more places but I saw some for sale up on Centeral Pattaya Rd. On the same side of the road as Carrefour but further down the road towards Sukhumvit. This is a large store that has an open front and sell furniture. I saw them just walking by as they are located at the front and they have a large assortment of sizes.

sumo, If the only thing that would prevent you from renting the room is the presence of an in room safe you could always ask the owner if he would install one if you purchased it. I saw a place that sell s them with cost beginning at around 2000 baht.

I offered them 18K for the standard room and they agreed but when I realized they didn't have a pool I declined. This was when they first opened so they were probably hungry. When I was by there this past november it looked like they were in the process of building a pool.

I definetly don't recall reading it and I'm always on the lookout for a good hotel deal. My research skills must be weak as I've looked in the Pattaya hotel reviews and I can't find your review. I also checked all your posts going back to Feb and couldn't find a review, I did spot your post in Dec about you planning to stay there in Feb. No problem really about informing us about this place, if I hadn't been planning on getting an apartment full time on this past trip I would have kept quiet on this place so I wouldn't find the delux rooms booked on a future trip.

I looked at this place awhile back. At that time they showed me a rate sheet but were willing to negoiate price. The correct spelling is Leelawadee Lagoon and their website is www.leelawadeeresort.com. At that time they didn't have a pool but told me they were going to begin building one.

Larry, I took my weekly shower this morning but will take another one tomorrow morning before I leave the house to meet you for brunch. I am surprised that your giving me some grief on this post and not my one on Loy Kathrong.

quicktex, I gave my hotel phamplet to OnMyWay so I don't know the name of the soi, but if you were at the intersection of Central Pattaya Rd and 3rd Rd you would head south about 200 meters and make a right on a soi that has a 7-11 on the corner. It would be about 50 meters in. If you were on Soi Buakaow and Central Pattaya Rd you would again head south about 200 meters and take the left on the soi which is about 25 meters from where you see a 7-11 directly in front of you because Soi Buakaow veers right. It is about 200 meters in and if you look closely you'll see a Holiday Mansion sign at the intersection of that soi and Soi Buakaow. sibinjack, What have you been smoking, in my post I said I had a room overlooking the pool, did you think I meant the pool of another hotel? this place is layed out like a rectangle with only a wall on the backside. The pool is in the middle of this 5 story hotel that has around 160 rooms. My total electric/water bill for about 3 1/2 week was 1000baht. Didn't use much A/C as Pattaya wasn't as hot as most other months and we had a nice breeze almost every day. With 2 of us there the whole time and taking many showers the cost of the water was about half of the electric cost.

Avoid the ones that the only relationship between them and the hotel is that the hotel is acting as a travel agent. If you get one of these they will make many stops at different Bangkok hotels before they head to Pattaya. Some board members have reported that they spent over an hour going to the various hotels while crawling along among the Bangkok traffic. The one Roy mentioned is a direct shot to Pattaya. Emil

Getting to Walking St is just as easy from Soi Buakaow. Jump on one of the moving southbound baht buses. When it hits South Pattay Rd it will turn right and then Right again at 2nd Rd. Jump off there and its just a short walk to the entrance of Walking St. About 5 to 10 % of the southbound buses will turn left at 2nd Rd and head toward Jomtien, if you happen to be one one of them stay on until it reaches the VC Hotel and jump off and walk through the Marine Plaza area past the Blues Factory and you will be on Walking St near the Dollhouse Go-Go. Since your staying 6 weeks, and if its not during high season, You should be able to get a good rate for a room. Anywhere from 7,000 baht a month + electric/water to 12,000.
-
It has the same owners as the Eastiny Inn and Eastiny Place so give those places a try. Bella Vista is on a small soi that connects Soi 7 and 8. I stayed their in August and its a great bargin and place to stay, especially if you like the beer bars.
-
Your mistaken, the Dynasty is on the 2nd Rd side of the new construction. Only the current condo along with the Sportsmen and a few shops are between the Sandy Springs and the new condo.
-
BigD, If you don't have any success with the condo rental, look into renting an apartment yourself. I found a nice one for 6,500 a month + utilities. I'm planning on visiting Pattaya 6 times next year for 30 day stays so this works out cheaper than paying for each trip seperately plus I don't have to haul my shit back and forth. If you could find another boardmember or two you could sublet it when your not in town. Emil

I wrote those reviews but would not recommend the place right now because they are working on the condo right next to Mike's and it's very noisey. Maybe in about 5 or 6 months when they are doing the interior work. Emil
-
Haven't stayed there, but as a general rule, pretty much any hotel under 1000 baht a night doesn't have a joiner fee.
-
If it is located near the intersections of North, Central or South Pattaya Rds, then you can jump on one of the moving baht busses and you can get to anywhere. One extra baht bus ride and around an extra 5 minutes. Emil

Guys, Sorry no digital camera, but this place is less than 2 years old and a great bargin if your staying for a month and are not afraid of staying outside of the Beach Rd/2 nd Rd rectangle. Besides the low room rate the internet shops, laundry and eating joints are cheaper around this area. Mark if everything else was equal, I prefer this place over every other place I've stayed in Pattaya and that includes the Eastiny Place, Bella Vista, Flippper House, Sunshine, Mike's Beach and a few others.

Haven't heard anything. They closed down those beer bars in that location about 5 month back.
-
Moby, That wasn't nice of you to keep this place a secret. I would have stayed there on two prior trips if I had been aware. They still have rooms available at the 10,000 rate but for an extra 2,000 you get the delux room. I like the delux room because you get the larger TV and frig. Your also on the top floor and can keep the sliding glass doors open and get the benefit of the breeze from the bay without flies and mossies flying into your room. Emil

I liked Mike's Beach on Soi 4. I always got a rate of 600 a night, maybe because of my length of stays/frequencies. Quiet location, large pool, large room and balcony, view of the bay and 2 free bottles of water/day. For the time being avoid becuase of the construction of the Northshore condo. This trip discovered the Holiday Mansion and I'm paying 12,000 a month. An excellent place to stay for those that are not afraid to venture out of the Beach Rd/2nd Rd rectangle. Many of the TG's live in this area and if I wasn't with GF would have persued many of the smiles I received while walking in this area. Emil
-
Should be no problem unless your picky. Looked at a new apartment on Pattay Central Rd yesterday that is scheduled to open Dec 15th. 8K a month + electric and water.
-
If your staying for any length of time I would recommend the Holiday Mansion. Cost is 12,000 baht per month + electric and water (approx 2000 ) and this is their most expensive of their 3 types of rooms. This is the best hotel that I've stayed in Pattaya (Eastiny Place, Flipper House, Sunshine, Bella Vista, Mike's Beach, Koeing, White Rose, Inn House, Marine Yensabai, and Pattaya Center).
-
For those who worry about crossing 2nd Rd then you shouldn't be traveling out of your city. That risk is much overrated unless your the type that gets too drunk. during the last 3 years I've spent 1 year in Pattaya and I've never seen or heard of anyone getting hit by a vehicle.
