  1. Don't know why yall have to go to all that trouble. Usually when I ask for their email address, their password is included in their addy. Thats happened twice to me. SB
  2. Are Eva and CP the only airlines that arrive in BKK in the daytime? Getting into BKK at midnight is a bummer. Traveling from LAX or SFO. Not too crazy about Eva's 12 hour layover. Hope that is an exception rather than the rule. SB
  3. Sure would be nice if we could buy some mulligans. Hate to drop me pants in the middle of the course and have me caddy snickering at me for the rest of the round. SB
  4. The night golf balls are actually plastic with glo sticks inserted inside of them. They also use the glo sticks for the cups on the greens. Flashlights are a no no but, a full moon is permissable. You really can't see your clubs striking the ball, therefor the trust your swing theory really comes into play. Have only tried it once but, it was a nice way to kill a few sixpacks. SB
  5. Has anyone ever played golf at night in Pattaya or do any of the courses even offer it? Seems like a great way to beat the heat. I know you might have hazzards like snakes and skeeters but, the hanky panky in the golf carts should more than make up for the hazzards. Of course you might want your bring your own TG to caddy for you. SB
  6. That reminds me of the last time I actually used real wooden woods. Funny feeling hitting a wood shot and watching as me head splits into 3 different pieces flying down the fairway behind me ball. Figured it was about to time to switch to metal woods. SB
  7. Yep, LOS jest like Louseyiana, when it rains it pours. Have to brang me pirou on me next trip to BKK. Last year got caught in a rainstorm on Suk rd. heading down to the Dollhouse. Me TG wanted me to carry her piggyback so she wouldn't get her pants wet. Thank gawd she didn't weigh much or I would have drowned right den and dere. Think next time I will jest roll up her jeans. SB
  8. The last time I ate at the Pig and Whistle I had to waddle out of the door sideways. Their steak and kidney pie was piled high on me plate. Never thought to check for HB there though. SB
  9. Thanks Fish, some really good infro. Will be staying close to the Royal Garden Mall, so will give it a shot. Plus, heard it's a really good pick up spot. Baz, actually spent an hour on the back of a motorbike in the Dominican Republic looking for a Burger King. All I wound up with was a stiff butt. I like to eat at the local spots, but sometimes I jest get a hankerin for that comfort food. SB
  10. After eating spring rolls for 2 straight weeks, kinda in the mood for a decent hamburger. Any suggestions on where the best hamburger joints are in Pattaya? SB
  11. Moby, funny you mentioned the 6 golfers per hole. Was playing the Thai Navy Course last fall and noticed they were 6 or 7 golfers heading up the fairway. With their caddies and friends, it looked like Arnie's Army was approaching me group. Sure glad I wasn't behind them. I imagine that with the shortage of courses in Japan and Korea, they really must have to pack em in. SB
  12. I also suggest angeltravel. Should be around 600 from the west coast.
  13. Stevoh, since the Royal Cliff wouldn't let you swim in their pools, I suppose they wouldn't let me practice on their putting greens either or take a ride on their catamaran to some of the islands. We shall see in a few days. SB
  14. Brang only 20 balls for 18 holes? Thats just barely a ball per hole. Can you say FOUR!!!!!!!!! Plunk.
  15. Thanks for the replys stevo and mai. Sounds like I made a good choice. SOS is ground beef with white gravy, military food. SB
  16. After reading the raving reviews on the Ambassador hotel, is there any good or bad reviews on the Dynasty Inn. Planning on staying there and the Dynasty Resort in Pattaya.
  17. Well it looks like iffin I wanna smoke, I will have to fly from the west coast to London, then on to Bangkok. I can get a NW flight from central us to bangkok for 750 and a lot of nicorette gum or for bout 2 g's take the long route with smokin. Dang, now dats a tough decision.
  18. Does anyone know of any airlines that still allow smoking from the west coast of the states to bangkok?
