  1. I always go and see my doctor for a few freebies. As many samples of viagra, cialis, or whatever else he may have lying around. Tell him I'm gonna screw a 100 ladies this trip and need all the help I can get. Really cool doctor, one of the few that is still puffing on a ciggy while taking care of my freebies. Later, SB
  2. Beware of those 200 baht watches they sell at BigC. Bought a Diesel copy six months ago and the wrist band breaks while walking out of the store. Ok, cheap watch, no band, no problem. Buy new band. Then the face falls off. Ok, cheap watch, new band, no face, no problem. Now wondering how water proof is this watch? Just came back from the tropics where it rained everyday. Now new band, no face, still ticking. So I guess I've gotten me $5 worth out of it. Later, SB
  3. Dang, always thought the Penthouse Hotel was in the exact center of Pattaya. Not so sure any more. Later, SB
  4. Just wondering if NW will accept Continental miles for their cash and miles program. Used up all me NW miles and now trying to tap into some Cont. miles. Later, SB
  5. SinkorSwim, since your staying at the Skytop, take a stroll about 4 blocks north of you and check out the Atlantic Bar on 2nd road and soi 2. Good place to compare your beer bar girls to the go go ones. You lucky dog, you. Have fun, SB
  6. Dang, FF. 344 days is a hell of a long time to wait. Lucky for me, I've only got 10 months to go. Whooopie. Later, SB
  7. Thanks Duece, some very nice pics of the golf and party. Certnee had a great time at this years event. As for Lobin, I think Nat kidnapped him. Last I saw of them, they were strolling down walking st. hand in hand. Later, SB
  8. Stayed there for 6 nights last month. The positives are: Nice size room Cold AC room safe nice tv and fridge friendly staff 24 hour internet Negatives: Hard beds small bathroom 2 flights of stairs Good luck, SB
  9. NOW you tell me Stevo. Could have used this tip before the RideHer Cup. Later, SB
  10. My strategy is to load up on red beans and rice before boarding a flight. They clear out real fast or they're wearing gas masks. Later, SB
  11. Have stayed at both the Koenig and Skytop. Koenig is the better hotel of the two but, seems to be a lot of loud germans hanging around there now. Skytops' beds are pretty firm and the bathrooms are about 4x4 feet. Forget about the cheap rooms, way too small. Good internet downstairs and close to soi 6. Also you might want to check out Lord Nelson on soi 6. Good value at 700 baht. Later, SB
  12. Thanks to Doggie for organizing this event. Had a great time at trying to figgure out which side the ball was suppose to curve to. As usual the Europeans won again but, was a close match. Later, SB
  13. Europe won with sudden death strokes at the FLB bar.
  14. Just took a look at rooms 8 and 9 and they both have nice size balconies overlooking soi 6. The only drawback is that you have to climb 3 flights of stairs. Later, SB
  15. Sounds good if they include air miles. Nothing like flying to BKK for 400 bucks unless it's a freebie. SB
  16. I haven't seen any balconies, but they may have some on the floors above me. Greg would probably know better than I. Believe he's toured the whole place. Later, SB
  17. Am staying at the Lord Nelson right now and for the next 12 days. Nice big, clean rooms. Good view of the soi also. Was expecting more bar noise, but getting to bed at 4 am haven't noticed any. Later SB
  18. If I hop on a baht bus on 2nd road heading south, what's my odds of ending up at residence garden? Don't recall seeing any Jomtien signs on those buses. SB
  19. Does anyone know if Mulligans Bar still plays out at Green Valley on Thursday? Just trying to kill some time in Pattaya. Thanks, SB
  20. W3, check out the Bunker Boys website. They have a little gathering of novice golfers over at the Asia hotel golf course on the weekends, I believe. It's a par 3 course and a good place to pick up the game. Sure the cost would be minimal. Good Luck, SB
  21. Thanks, Wobbley and Echster. Very informative, indeed. That caddie wouldn't be the infamous caddie at Phoenix, would she? Not sure I would want to ask a caddie about the scoring system as the last time I played there, I had forgotten I was using rental clubs and asked for a 7 wood. Had the caddies laughing at me for the rest of the round. The Stableford system sounds like a great way to speed up play. Wish more courses would promote it. Later, SB
  22. Does anyone know how this scoring system works? Seems to be quite popular in Pattaya, not so in the U.S. Thanks, SB
  23. Pete, glad to hear that Champions is still alive and well. Be there soon to partake of the festivities. SB
  24. Texas Scramble sounds like a good idea. Will be sure to bring along me Texas wedge this year. Hilly, always up for a practice round. See you at The Bar for some pre practice rounds. SB
  25. Sounds like a winner Doggie. That gives me a week to line up a caddie there that will take me to her mountaintop. SB
