+1 In 2002, it WAS pretty good. And if I remember, 85B, cheap! 2015, November. Barely edible. 150B

Having flown on China Airlines, China Southern, China Eastern, and Air China from LAX via XXXX to BKK, I've had NO missed connections, particularly late, etc. They all got me to BKK, cheaply. On the other hand, flying Delta, domestically, MANY times.

Sizzler is one of my faves in Pattaya for it's value. I find the salad bar 'fresh', service reasonable, and cost acceptable (for what you get). It's also one of the few(?) 'salad bars' in town where you can load up on nutritious foods.

Guys, (see the video link below) For YEARS, I stayed in Pattaya hotels (especially, Sandy Spring/Soi 13) but tried a 'condo' once then was 'hooked'. It was FANTASTIC!! Paying about the same money for MUCH more! Then I bought my own but 'rent' it when not there. Here is a video and additional information: https://youtu.be/I8D1TAePW6M Highlights: -The building is View Talay 6, 27 floors, next to Central Festival Shopping Mall, the BEST location in Pattaya -Fellow BM 'Dancewatcher', an American, handles everything -3 seater, large, sofa -47" flat screen TV with True Vision Platinum chan

Something for everyone in Pattaya!

Although the food is decent, I CONSISTENTLY find the service neutral (at best) and surly/rude (at worst).

The Marriott gym, albeit pricey compared to Tony's, is excellent (and worth it).

My View Talay 6, top (27) floor condo for nightly rental!

Great comment, BF, regarding noise (which I'm VERY sensitive about short or long term). ONE side has 'extra' wall insulation thus that side is reasonably OK. Never an issue. The other side is owned by an older American from CA who's there only seasonally. And when there, VERY quiet, And, of course, no roof top noise as this is on the top floor. Is the condo soundproof? No but it's about as good as you can get in VT6.- 29 replies

If you're seeking a monthly rate, let me know. As this is Thailand, everything is negotiable! Most guys stay in Pattaya, on average, eight nights thus my condo is available PER night and requires NO commitments.- 29 replies

The opening of the grocery in CF killed TOPs. The CF is much 'brighter' and nicer looking while TOPs seemed dark and dingy.

Regarding 'noise' from Central Festival, no question when you're outside (on the balcony) it's noticeable (especially during the daytime) although because it's a 'consistent noise' I adjusted. Being outside, though, during this time of the year is NOT recommended (too humid, hot!). Nighttime, it seems(?) quieter and with the sliders closed it's VERY quiet. I had installed double-pane window, sliders, as I HATE 'noisy' environments and it makes a HUGE difference. Also the 'security entrance' door reduces hallway noise.- 29 replies

Regarding the 'monthly' rate, it's negotiable (through DW) as EVERYTHING in Thailand is The typical renter though is approximately EIGHT nights thus comparing this to a 'monthly' at 25k is NOT relevant. In addition, MOST 'monthlies' do NOT include: 1) Electric 2) Water 3) Cable 4) WIFI This condo's rate includes ALL the above (as a hotel does). Also MOST 'monthlies' require a 'minimum' three month commitment with a DEPOSIT (which you may OR may not get back). Finally, Check the rate for ONE night in VT6 with a view facing DIRECTLY into CF parking garage, the MINIMUM

The condo is in View Talay 6 next to Central Festival Shopping Mall. Approximately a 5-7 minutes, walking, from Soi Buk and 10 minutes (walking) from WS. If you don't want to walk, baht buses are available 24 hours in front of the building to whisk you to WS in about two minutes:-) Regarding the prices, compare them to Hilton (next door) or the Marriott (Royal Garden). Both run 3k++ per night for a SMALLER room, view(?), and zero kitchen facilities. Bottom line: You're paying for a really nice room, GREAT location, with amenities.

If you get an AMEX Platinum card (annual fee $450) they'll reimburse the $100 fees for the Global Entry Program among MANY other benefits (lounge access, etc)

The only true 'condotel' that I'm aware in Pattaya is the White House on Soi 13 off Beach Rd. Prices, when it was built four years ago, started at 4.1M/B. You might contact them....

I have used the Oversea Travel Service, the one mentioned above on Soi Post Office, across from the PO, for several years with no issues. They provide two keys and you can pay monthly, semi-annually, or annually. And while they don't have 'private rooms' for you to use your box, they hand the box to you on a counter top in the back and walk away. Sleight of hand and moving quickly would allow you to easily deposit anything of real value in your box with no problems.
