  1. Good news. Never would of thunk it that the posting and email notification issue could be related.
  2. Wish I had a suggestion or two, but never worked with board software. Sorry to add to your list of woes, but it doesn't appear the "Notify me when someone quotes my posts" is working either.
  3. Testicle 1, 2, 3??? Edit: well hung, the post not the testicle
  4. I competed in butterfly. Good prep for my life in Pattaya.
  5. Construction update from this afternoon. Looking south at first glance, doesn't appear much is happening. But zooming in can see digging has commenced. And to the north, the rebar work continues. And look at the north end of the construction site.
  6. Here's a suggestion. Organize a Pattaya Talk GG crawl with some sort of stupid challenge in each GG. Example: challenge could be whether the lady lands the ice cube from her pussy into MM's drink and then whether he'll finish his drink. Bet's are placed and those on the losing side of the bet throw the amount they bet into the "pay for the forum" bucket. With beer fueled ideas for challenges, we should have the forum costs covered in no time at all.
  7. Just saw this link on another forum. Very good visual of earth's winds. http://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=-260.79,4.75,910
  8. Perhaps the forecast was off by a day. http://www.yr.no/place/Thailand/Chon_Buri/Pattaya/hour_by_hour.html
  9. On another forum a poster explained they're for post tension cables to pass thru. The cables, under tension, support the slab.
  10. Another construction update. Pretty quiet to the north Work continues on the underpass roof Drainage dug, ready for the next deluge Anyone know the function of the silver flexible piping?
  11. Maybe they'll cut Songkran in Pattaya from nine days to one... I know, never going to happen, but hope springs eternal.
  12. What a difference two weeks and a tropical storm can make in lake levels. Here's pics from two weeks ago and from today.
  13. Construction site looking damp today. No surprise there. Looking forward to getting snaps after they start excavating and a heavy downpour hits. Water truck brought in to wash out the rebar works. Most of the crew was occupied with clean up and pumping out water today. Not much to see on the north side of the construction site.
  14. On another forum we've been speculating on the purpose of the concrete pad. Best guess is it's a blinding layer which the roof structure will be made on top of. Once made, the ground beneath will be excavated and the blinding layer broken up and removed leaving a smooth underside to the roof structure. So with curiosity piqued, dodged the raindrops this morning to get a couple of pics of the progress. More of the boards have been placed over the concrete pad and tacked into place with nails The boards are easy enough to lift, so I'm guessing some sort of plastic material
  15. My understanding is it was finished and was being used to replenish the water in Mabprachan, that is until Bangkok started having water problems of their own.
  16. Mabprachan Lake water levels are extremely low. This pic is of the NE side of the lake. They're now sucking every last drop out of the low areas. Better get your soapie in before the pumps are sucking mud. Looking east towards the new park they've been working on over the past year. The new park is looking good. Once they finish the landscaping, hopefully with plenty of shade trees and a return of the rains, the park should be a nice place to spend an afternoon. But for now the view from the park is pretty bleak.
  17. Construction update from late afternoon yesterday. Heavy traffic northbound which isn't unusual for the time of day. Most of work now taking place north of the walkover bridge. Not sure what's going on here. Don't know what the panels are for, or the purpose of the concrete pad. Doesn't seem strong enough to serve as the roof of the tunnel. Plus I would think they would dig out the underpass first, then put the roof in. Not easy to see in this pic, but the diversion by SCC is gone.
  18. And they've added several speed bumps along the way. Not sure why they needed those as traffic never moved fast with all the choke points from food carts and bikes parked halfway into the soi.
  19. And don't forget the final insult to injury, at least with Air Asia. The last step to pay informs you of a booking fee, even though you're doing all the work of booking on their website.
  20. Not much to see in today's update. Just some moving of dirt around. And a look at the digging going on at the SCC intersection.
  21. Pic update on construction progress Looks like they've started digging. Crane was working to pull a form out. Didn't succeed while I was there. This bit, bit off more than it could chew. Traffic is still being diverted around SCC intersection.
  22. Alcohol sales are banned on the 30th & 31st, Thursday and Friday.
  23. Agree, invadeIT was the more professional of the two. Probably b/c they're a smaller business and thus a more personal touch.
  24. I've had the same positive experience ordering from Lazada. Another online store I've ordered from with equally good experience is invadeIT.
  25. Photo update of construction progress
