I use Vodafone as well and on Sunday when I couldn't get through on my card, I tried direct.....it said Wrong Number....on monday it was fine though ! -
I certainly wouldn't recommend Sunbeam. Full of Koreans, if I remember it was 300bht to take a girl back, and the swimming pool is in the shade after about 2.00pm......go to Flipper House or Lodge

The best hotel in KK is the Sofitel. 5* all the way , restaurant, brewery, nightclub, spa etc etc and i think it was about 1500bt per night. Wish there was one in Pattaya

Can someone please help me. I am in LOS for 18 days soon and want to see somewhere else apart from my "second home" Pattaya. I want to go for 2 nights with a TG over Loy Kratong but I dont know where is best. I want to stay in a good hotel but not just sit and relax, I want to go and do things and have a laugh. My TG thinks Chaing Mai would be good, but it is 2 hrs to BKK then a flight for about an hour....is it worth it ?? I dont know!! ??? ??? Any help / suggestions on resorts and hotels would be great Thanks

Crackpot, I am going to BKK for a couple of days at the end of this month. If I like it I might make a few days when you are there in Oct / Nov, else I will stay in Pattaya.

Crackpot, out 29 Oct back 17 Nov. £407. The only thing I dont like is the day flight coming back, but for £407 who cares !! Might see you over there.

Sabai Lodge versus Flipper Lodge
johnnyboy replied to PigBoy#1's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Came back from Pattaya a week ago :'( Its been my 5th trip in a year, cant get the bloody place out of my system !! Stayed at the Flipper a couple of times and it was nice, however only stayed there for 2 nights this time and moved out. The rooms were very jaded with chewing gum on the floor, the shower only being suitable for midgets....generally poor condition ( i think they are now going to refurbish it). Anyhow moved into the AA Residence for the next 14 nights( Soi 13 ) and it was great ( 700bht pn ) no joiner fee and nice service. Had a look at Sandy Springs across the road and that looked even better ( around 800bht a night, so when I am back in August I will probably stay there !! -
Well, I would hate to piss you all of but my flight leaves in 12 hours, currently at work nursing a huge hangover after a night out with my mate who is coming with me. I just want to know who will be out there over the next couple of weeks in the FLB ??

I went to the Sunbeam in June. The hotel was full of Koreans and they charged 300bht guest fee. Pool was in shade most of the afternoon. I have stayed in the Sunshine new wing which was great as it had a balcony no guest fees but the pool was in the shade most of the day. The flipper lodge was good, no guest fees, pool on top sunshine all the time, no guest fees, no balcony though. Hope this helps
