No need to answer this as I just saw the other thread that she charges 1800 baht from Don Muang. At that price I can use Mr T who uses similar size cars for 1200baht all in and I have never had a problem with their drivers and if I want to pay 1800baht I can get a Camry from the Airport itself at one of the taxi stands. If her price was similar to Mr T or even a little cost more I would give her a try but will not be bothered at that price. Good luck to her in her new business, I hope it all works out for her.

I do not where you stayed but the area from near Soi 7 down towards Walking Street end of 2nd road... most of those were open and in that area on Beach Road there were a few walking around and on the "beach". they were around... maybe a little less in numbers but as you say ... it was low season.

Pretty obvious what his observations are.... his comments and pictures and as a resident. Pretty straight forward. You must have walked around with your eyes closed in low season as there are still some of their "Travel Shops" operating on 2nd road and they were on beach road walking and using the "beach" if you want to call it that. And yes... there were some in Jomtien.
