Hi Billy, lot's of board members from the 2 main boards will be in town Oct/Nov judging by the calendar entries. I will be there from the 28th with Matty and am sure that you will meet many , look on the whiteboard as you go into flb for names and add yours, get chatting then go prowling with them/us

Hi Gus, West East seem to be consistent as the price is roughly the same as I've paid for my last three trips both with Thai and Eva so I'm happy. I tried to hook up with Boa on a few occasions last April/May but only managed to see her in person on the last night an hour before leaving for home and she looked very good but was in company so we only talked briefly, I understand that she has now finished at Flb and has a sponsor, I wish her all the best for the future. ps: would you pm me what she once said to you, enquiring minds would like to know and I can keep a secret

Booked today with West East for £435 inc. going Thai, Eva was slightly cheaper but couldn't get the right dates , oct27-nov12

Hwyl if time isnt an issue you could take the train (about 10 hours) to Bkk then a bus to Pattaya from Ekamai for about 90baht but the best and quickest way to go would be to fly to Bkk (about £15 I think) then taxi to Pty, I wouldn't want to lose anymore time than necessary travelling when I could be drinking/shagging

Sinbinjack, I also just booked with West east on 15th , going on 22nd April to 7th May but for £413.90 with Eva, I met you once a year or two ago on a party night in Flb don't know if you'll remember but I think it was your first trip, will be there around the same time as you again(but sadly for not as long )so maybe have a beer with you sometime. (err seem to remember you only drink coke).

West East have just sent out e mails advertising very cheap flights to the far east and Australia , well worth a look for anyone looking to travel in the next few months. I used them last year and they were very good.

One five minute call to Thai Air (London) was all it took for me to book my free flight for last November and Loy Kratong , the lady on the end of the phone was extremely helpful and pleasant and I thought it was too good to be true until my tickets arrived the following week. I still had reservations about how easy it was right up until I checked in and got my boarding card, they even gave me the seats I wanted both outbound and inbound even though they at first said sorry"all gone". I recommend that everyone join all the clubs , nothing to lose and much to gain.

Welcome Stevestrong , plenty of hotels in your price range , just pick one and if it's crap move on , I will be out there at that time myself as will many board members so just go to the FLB bar and join in the fun , plenty of like minded people to go on the piss with.

Tom I have been using THG for about 4 years now and had about 6 trips and have never had a problem with them, only once have I and my mates been able to use the accomodation voucher and that was for the previously named Jade Pavillion in soi22 Bkk all the other vouchers were for unheard of hotels in places like Hua-Hin or Cha-Am, tried WestEast for last Aprils trip as they beat THG's price by £20.

Party I always booked in advance with an agent and have always been able to "knock" them down a bit on the price but have met many people on the ferry who were going over there and hoping that they would be able to find accomodation on arrival, met one bloke again a few days later on our beach who stated he only just managed to get a room at Malibu resort, he paid more than us for an inferior room (I stayed in Malibu once before) and after seeing our beach and it's attractions said that he thought we had a better deal, it was his first trip to Los and strangely enough he happened to come from

I have only ever stayed in the two story blocks at the rear, always stayed upstairs , great for sitting outside on the balcony drinking with the mates and our girls. The rooms are large but basic with a king or queen size bed and they had a front and back door for ventilation, also fan and aircon, 1 minute walk to reception and beach, can't wait to get back there for a night or two in 2 weeks. Chancoy looks nice but double the price, as they say "you get what you pay for"

Hi Partyanimal, have stayed at Hat sai keaw villas a few times and thought it was good for 900bt , they have small houses on stilts, large rooms in the blocks and other chalet type rooms , its right on the beach with a restaurant /reception at front and a few bars /restaurants a short walk either side and you can hire a speedboat for fishing /snorkling etc from the beach.

Stayed in a similar room last April (1100baht), nice size but it did smell a bit, once stayed in a suite at Nana (1600baht) , that was nicer. Reception staff have always been good to me as I have never booked in advance but they always seem to remember me and find me a room when I walk in.

Hi I will be arriving on TG911 on 13/11/05 at approx. 06.10am and was wondering if anyone would like to share a cab to Pattaya.

Siriracha (sp) tiger zoo is also full of crocodiles and you can walk across overhead bridges from one pen to the next but I found the smell to be quite bad when I went there, you can also buy bar-b-que croc on sticks at the main entrance if you feel peckish , I think there's also an elephant show but haven't been for a few years so the memories are dated.

Johnson I have used THG (Swansea) many times and have found them to be the cheapest on several occasions , as Rayton say's you will get a hotel voucher with your ticket (they have to give you one) but you will not be able to use it as it's false and it will probably be for some obscure hotel you've never heard of a long way from where you want to stay, my last one was for Hua Hin , they keep the prices low because they sell packages(don't know how this works) but they can supply hotels if you request it, they use hotels like the former Jade Pavillion (soi22) in Bkk and the Woodlands or Asia in

Got it badly wrong a couple of years ago when two mates and I got to the airport 24 hours late, still don't know how all three of us made the same mistake but it worked out ok as I rang my boss to tell him and ended up staying 3 extra day's by telling him I couldn't get on an earlier flight which he believed but it cost us £160 each extra to change the return date, oh well it's only money and you can't take it with you we thought he! he!
