  1. Hello Ja did you mean "Sabai Di mai"? How are you Sabai sabai? Not sure what this is supposed to mean in this context? Taking it easy? Thank you very much Koh Jai? Koh means "island" did you mean Kow chai? Understand Chai...yes. again not sure what this is supposed to mean in the context of the paragraph? Writing Thai language with the English alphabet is pretty tough to do. It's even tougher for someone to read it, and try to determine what you are trying to say. Maybe she wont respond because she doesn't understand? I still think we need to give her a break. Afterall, she is just trying to make a satang just like the rest of us. She might come across as arrogant, but most successful people do, don't they?
  2. You might be out of the airport at 9am, but you most likely wont hit outer Pattaya at 10:15am. You see, the motorway is free to all during Songkran. This means that most Thai people that normally wouldn't use it, are all using it. You will be lucky if the trip takes you less than 2 1/2 hours. You will most likely hit Pattaya at Noon, just as the festivities hit the street. My suggestion is to get the taxi to Pattaya, no matter how long it takes. Then on the outskirts, hire a motorcycle for yourself, one or two for your bags, and make your way to the hotel that way. You will deffo get wet, and so will your bags. Be prepared. Other thing you can do, is wait it out on the outskirts, and make your way into town later in the evening around 9 - 10pm. The traffic will have died down a little by then.
  3. I guess I just don't see the difference between someone like the OP, and someone like Mr. T, peddling their business on a forum that targets their core customer base?
  4. Are you a bigot? Do you think women are less human than men?
  5. That is sexual discrimination. I do not think that is what we should do.
  6. Where is that butt pirate Villayouth? I am sure he will go bonkers over this one. Bwahahaha!
  7. Yes, the heat is back. Today we were lucky that there was a nice breeze off the ocean in Bangsaen, or our family day at the beach would have been terrible. Back at the house no such breeze, and sweating my bollocks off.
  8. I am the same. I must be a LDOP, because I will gladly fork out the 1,200 they ask for to take me back to Chonburi. I can't be assed to haggle. I just want to get home.
  9. I can not comment on the chili on its own. I have never ordered it. The chili they use on the sloppy nachos is great, as well as on the chili hot dog and chili burger. I also can not comment on the Thai food, as I would go to a Thai restaurant for Thai food, and have never ordered Thai at Tequila Reef. I just ate at TR two days ago, and I had the two hard shell taco set, and my friend had the sizzling fajitas. I had a couple margaritas. The bill was right around 900 baht I think? If you mention you are a forum member, and fill out a short form, you can get a discount as well.
  10. Yep, I also use the chips to scoop up the beans. I put some tobasco on the beans and a little salsa. LUVERLY! At Tequila Reef you don't have to order a side of chips, as they are free. While I truly enjooy the food at Tequila Reef, I will admit there are some things on the menu that are not up to scratch. If you know what they are, all you have to do is order something else on the menu that you know they do well. I find that their burritos are not as good as they were say 8-10 years ago. The burrito selection and preparation needs to be improved. What I personally recommend at Tequilla Reef: Hard shell soft shell tacos (pork or chicken) the beef is not nice in my opinion The chicken salad the mexican soup the chili burger the chili dog the BBQ ribs the BBQ chicken sloppy nachos LUVERLY! frozen margaritas are THE BEST in Pattaya The texas style steak was good the last time I had it Sizzling fajitas (chicken) the pork has become funny tasting with the fajitas, and the beef has a good taste but has always been a bit chewy.
  11. Fair enough. I am just merely stating my personal opinion as you have stated. You still can't defend degrading a good corn chip with table salt can you? Plus, at Tequilla Reef the chips and salsa are free.
  12. ummmm I do when it is so bland I could feed it to my 7 month old.
  13. If you like it, please don't let my personal feelings and report put you off Mike's. I have been eating at Tequila Reef in Soi 7 for over 10 years. A mexican place is going to really have to knock my socks off to change my mind about my favorite Mexican eatery in Pattaya.
  14. Deffo not seen this cool of temps so close to Songkran in my 11 years of living here. Stiff cool North wind blowing right in my front door hahaha. Wife and kids are freezing. I slepy with no fan on, no A/C, and under a blanket. It was a great night for sleeping.
  15. I stopped in at Mike's yesterday afternoon around 2pm. Nice enough gaff to look at. First off, as we were walking in, a table of two was being served. I particularly noticed the "small" portions being served. Right off the little bells start ringing in my mind. I then take a look at the menu and prices. I found the prices to be expensive compared to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Soi 7. Also to be noted, there is NO FREE CHIPS AND SALSA! I had to pay 150 baht for what I get for free at my favorite place. The chips came covered in table salt. There is no better way to ruin good corn chips than to cover them in table salt. The salsa was bland. We engulfed it with Tobasco so it was edible, and even then we didn't finish the chips and salsa. I ordered a frozen margarita. It came, and again not up to par with the place on Soi 7 in my honest opinion. It also took a lot longer to get it, than it does at the other place. Short story short. I finished my margarita, and the person with me finished their cola, and we went to Soi 7 to eat Mexican food. To those that think this place serves the best Mexican in Pattaya, you must be crazy. I wont be back!
  16. Morning: Noodles Lunch: Gang or Essahn food Evening: Soup or Fried veggies or Fried Rice
  17. There is a place looking for someone to teach "Shipping English" as a class here in Thailand. I was contacted, but had to decline, because I just don't know anything about the biz. If anyone is interested, let me know, and I will point you in the right direction.
  18. I about shit myself landing at the airport in Barranquilla, Colombia years ago. Wrecked old airplanes lined up either side of the runway.
  19. Sorry mate, I am actually sitting on Bangsaen beach right now having seafood. It's the wife's b-day today. Angsila is straight North up the cost from Bangsaen about 10 minutes.
  20. Not much of a choice in Laem Chabang. The Pop right along the ocean road in Sriracha is a good place for a feed, with reasonable prices. I never bother with those little out of the places along Sukky heading North from Pattaya. Angsila is the best for good food and good pricing.
  21. The price of seafood in Pattaya is a fucking rort dejoure! You want good seafood, at the real price, go to Bangsaen or Sattahip.
