I agree that the Residence Garden Hotel is one of the best in Pattaya. . .for the money. Nice balcony with table and chairs and a pool view plus nice size rooms. With the special price to FLB Bar board members I think it hard to beat. I agree with kjvegas that the room safe is very well placed and a good quality one to boot. My trip coming up will be my third stay at RGH and unless things change a lot there I'll be staying there a few more times after this trip. Posted by: SoCalGuy Posted on: Today at 22:14:45 To answer for kjvegas, I thought the pool there was great and as far

Just a slight addendum to my suggested "Mulligan Rule # 6": Here it is: Only each player within their own foursome can Mulligan's (1 tee and 1 anyplace per 9 holes) be used on their opponent making them [smiley=.gif] re-shoot [smiley=.gif] his or her ball. Otherwise it could get too confusing and delay the game too much. I'm glad to see some response to my ideas. I think the whole object of the exercise, RideHer Cup 2003, is to have fun and not to take this round of golf or ourselves too seriously but just to have a different kind of fun day out golfing. 31 days 23 hrs 27

Your best Golf Courses near Pattaya Poll?
ff29 replied to duece's topic in RideHer Cup Planning and Discussion
Laem Chabang International Country Club This golf course is without a doubt the finest golf course I have ever played. Back in the USA I’ve played many great courses and courses designed by Jack Nicholas who also designed Laem Chabang C.C. There is none that compares to the beauty and quality of Laem Chabang C.C. It’s about 30 kilometers from Pattaya and no problem getting there by limo or by having your hotel make the arrangements for you. The buffet there is also top shelf. Many, many choices and very attentive help who are always bringing beverages and anything else you need. -
Subject: [glow=red,2,300]Tiger[/glow] Taking a wee break from the golf circuit, Tiger Woods drives his new Buick Rendezvous into an Irish gas station. An attendant greets him in typical Irish manner, unaware who the golf pro is... "top o'the morning to ya." As Tiger gets out of the car, two tees fall out of his pocket. "So what are those, son?" asks the attendant. They're called tees," replied Tiger. And what would ya be usin' 'em for, now?" asked the Irishman. "Well, they're for resting my balls on when I drive," replies Tiger. "Aw, Jaysus, Mary an' Joseph!" exclaimed the Irish

Hi Doggie, [glow=red,2,300] MULLIGAN’S OR NOT? [/glow] Here is my two baht’s worth (which is declining) for a few possible ways to introduce Mulligan’s in to the 2003 RideHer Cup. Revised from a previous post. . . 1) Be able to purchase up to 4 Mulligan’s before RideHer Cup play starts. 2) Be able to use 2 Mulligan’s per nine holes of play. 3) Cost per Mulligan at 100 baht each (or to be determined) with money going into the Mulligan Baht Pool. 4) 1 Mulligan from tee box ONLY and 1 Mulligan from ANYPLACE on course excluding the tee box. 5) No carryovers

I would have to say the best caddie that knew the course very well and also knew how every green broke was at Laem Chabang. Very attentive, cleaned the clubs after every shot and made sure my ball was cleaned and lined up properly on the greens. She even new which way the grass was growing making the greens faster or slower. She knew more shit than I needed to know but not quite enough to help my game much. My choice is caddie # 210 at Laem Chabang which is also a great golf course and very nice buffet. I may have her number 210 wrong but her name was Lampoy. 34

Hi Guys, Thanks RobertCC and RayW for all the helpful hints on the golf club question. I think I can maybe buy them cheaper here in the USA and just leave them in someplace in Pattaya. Isn't it strange that you can have clubs made in Asia, shipped to the USA, and buy them cheaper than where their made. Go figure?? I will be going up to Third Road to check out that golf shop, RayW. Just love browsing around where they sell golf equipment. Of course I love browsing and looking at the equipment at the FLB more. . . and it's cheaper buying "IT" in Pattaya than buying it in here the USA.

Does anyone know where can I buy a used set of clubs or is there a place you can buy reasonably good quality new club [smiley=grin.gif] CHEAP! I was thinking I would buy a set of clubs and just leave them in Pattaya so I didn't have to haul them back and forth on the plane and then from Bangkok to Pattaya and back again home to the USA. Maybe someone like Ben, Pete, doggie, or anyone could give me some ideas on prices there (new clubs or good quality used ones). Renting gets a little expensive when your there for 30 days. Most of the rental clubs are beat up pretty bad as well as not be

Posted by: Greg_B on 18/08/2003 at 09:34:19 Thanks Greg. I just booked a flight for 2 from DLU - MSP - LAX - NRT - BKK and return BKK - NRT - SFO - MSP - DLH. 28 Hrs 55 Mins going and 22 Hrs 52 Mins on return flight. Not to bad of connections and no changing of planes from LAX - BKK or BKK - SFO in NRT. About a 2 Hr 15 Min wait on ground at NRT. Price I felt was very good. . . $844.90 each ticket RT. I don't really like flying coach but the price savings is worth the minor inconvenience. [smiley=zzz.gif] Sleep [smiley=zzz.gif] most of the way with aisle seats. Regards,

Posted by: Grendel Posted on: 08/17/03 at 23:31:45 Hi Captain Matt, I think it’s also covered very concisely under the FLB's RideHer Cup By-law [smiley=scared.gif] RULE # 69 [smiley=scared.gif] that allows them to play for Team USA. We'll be happy to welcome any foreigner, in good standing, under the special waiver rules aforementioned with a 0 handicap or less. . . and Team USA will still pay the [smiley=bonk.gif] BF’s [smiley=bonk.gif] if the losers cry [smiley=crying.gif] “FOUL!” [smiley=crying.gif] Look forward to seeing you again at this years RideHer's Cup. Hey Joop, Congratulations to you and your bride to be. Sorry you won't be there for the RideHer Cup festivities. I guess the honeymoon may be just a tad more important than being a referee at a golfing party. However, I'm happy he hear you say, "I will have operatives nearby in the event the trophy needs rescuing again!!" Have a great honeymoon and I recall seeing a banner on the site saying you're having a bachelor party at the FLB. If possible I'll try to make it and meet some of your "operatives" protecting the RideHer Cup Trophy in your honeymoon absence. Joop, again best w

Hi Everyone: My [smiley=yikes.gif] wife [smiley=yikes.gif] and [smiley=angel.gif] I [smiley=angel.gif] will be there this year and have booked our flights from USA to Bangkok. We leave on October 21st and will arrive very early AM in Pattaya on Thursday the 23nd. I sent an e-mail to Ben to let him know we'll be playing in the 2003 RideHer Cup. Doggie, FYI my wife's USGA handicap as of 26/07/2003 is 30.4 [smiley=sad.gif] index for 18 holes and mine is 24 [smiley=sad.gif] index for 18 holes, and sometimes for as many as 24 for as few as 12 holes [smiley=Eyecrazy.gif] when you put tour

You so have to hate when this disease is diagnosed. . . ED ZACHARY DISEASE A woman was very distraught at the fact that she had not had a date or any [smiley=bonk.gif] sex [smiley=bonk.gif] in quite some time. She was afraid she might have something wrong with her, so she decided to seek the medical expertise of a sex therapist. Her doctor recommended that she see the well known Chinese sex therapist, Dr. Chang. So she went to see him. Upon entering the examination room, Dr. Chang said, "OK, take off all your crose." The woman did as she was told. "Now, get down on all fours

Posted by: Joop Posted on: 15-08-03 11:34:36 Way to go Joop. Maybe if you're in town on Nov 3 for this years [smiley=cheers.gif] RideHer Cup Tournament you could be the OFFICAL Referee for the event. Maybe this could help avert some of the [smiley=bonk.gif] skullduggery perpetrated by those other guys last year. Keep a special [smiley=Eyecrazy.gif] eye on that one guy who dropped his drawers [smiley=yikes.gif] on the course and comes from country where guys (?) wear [smiley=grin.gif] Skirts. Oh, sorry! Subject: Jobs to consider My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned... couldn't concentrate. Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the ax. After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it ...mainly because it was a so-so job. Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was too exhausting. Then I tried to be a chef -- figured it would add a little spice too my life but I just didn't have the thyme. I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I cou

I have my suspicions where the coveted “RideHer Cup” trophy is hiding out! ??? I thinks it be a TAXING issue to uncover it’s actual whereabouts. :-/ Possibly some “son-of-a-sea-dog(gie)” is holding this priceless trophy hostage? Or maybe it’s being held hostage somewhere in the “Hilly” areas far across the seas seeking a little bit of “A.M.” sun (fog)? ;D One thing is for sure. . . the trophy will be well [smiley=.gif] protected [smiley=.gif] after this years RideHer Cup 2003 tournament conclusion!
