Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

  1. I have used them several times between LHR and BKK via Abu Dhabi. Short stop overs and the flights not bad for the price. Etihad have improved somewhat over the years
  2. I have had breakfast in Retox 3 days running and I could not manage it all and that was just the bahtbuster @98 baht. Great VFM and a few 2 minutes walk from my room.
  3. I shall be arriving on Saturday and was just going to walk in to a Hotel, but then I took a quick look on Adoda and booked myself in for 1 night, just to save a bit of hassle after a long flight If I like the place then I can negotiated a 3 week stay rate if they have a room for that long. If not, I can get up early and have walk about and see what is available and maybe do a deal. Most places would rather give you a discount in the knowledge that you are going to stay for a while rather than just a couple of nights as it is better to have a room occupied. Although this time of the year is s
  4. Thanks for the pics and location Baz. I cant believe how clean and tidy it all looks, and not like a typical Pattaya soi. I will have a gander on my next visit
  5. Yet another crack down. Is this really good for tourist in mind or to force tourists to pay more for accommodation. If the hotels have to spend money to comply with new regs, then the cost will be passed onto the customer no doubt. It is all changing piece by piece.
  6. Thanks for that TF. Having looked through relevant posts on the forum, it is still not entirely clear, but I noticed that many were saying that if you split up the Vape kit into 2 or 3 pieces and place in checked luggage, then the battery in carry on luggage. It does seem to appear that the risks are minimal
  7. Yes I am assuming that it is against the law, Is it or isn't it ? It is all about being aware. Maybe this thread can shine some light on exactly whether it is legal or illegal. Since the initial post in this thread raises the question of whether e cigs have been banned is very good reason for the discussion. It also begs the question of why e cigs may have become illegal. Hence why I am posting in this thread. I am not trying to promote the use of e cigs or tobacco, I am trying to find out what the law is, why it is and whether it is being enforced, We already know that the smoking law is
  8. I am not protesting, I am asking questions, as the situation is not entirely clear. It has nothing to do with my addiction, but rather the confusing laws of Thailand. I am quite happy to admit my addiction to nicotine. I have not heard of anyone being arrested for any of the things that you mentioned, so I guess its OK to break those laws, if I wish as they are low risk Is that what you mean ? You obviously broke the law by buying an e vape, along with the seller. So I guess its OK for me to break the law by smoking in Gogos along with the proprietors ? I am sure that will amuse you
  9. I will give it up under "my" terms and when I chose to. It is quite simple. But if I buy a Vape in Thailand. then surely I will be breaking the law ? By vaping, I have reduced smoking cigarettes by nearly 80%. Vaping and smoking are 2 different things although there is an association. Having read the article that MM supplied, it seems to me, that smoking is encouraged over Vaping. If I am caught "vaping" I could face up to 5 years in prison. Yet I can buy tobacco and smoke it legally, even in Gogo bars. I dont want to give up vaping or smoking, just yet. Why should I give anything up ?
  10. I guess, because if I was searched entering Thailand, they would not arrest me for carrying tobacco, since apparently it is not a banned substance. However, they could do, if they chose to, if I was carrying a Vaper. Although it appears unlikely. Maybe I wont bother and go back onto cigarettes for a few weeks if I want to smoke. But then I might run the risk of upsetting some non smokers from time to time. Or, I could always just say, fuck it, and visit another country for my holiday. I am prepared to forego hiring a motorcycle, just in case I get stopped and just in case I might be over t
  11. Does that mean, that if I bring my Vaper with me to Thailand, that I could risk it being confiscated or even arrested if detected ? Well, that is crazy, if so, because then I will have to smoke tobacco instead.
  12. Thanks for the updates CP. I doubt that Sterling will hit 50 again for a long while, but still, it is nice to see it the right side of 45, if nothing better. But we have Brexit to thank for that.
  13. Just came across this female Mongolian trio I find it mildly erotic
  14. Shocking. England out after losing to Iceland 2-1. Roy Hodgson announces his resignation. Iceland played well I thought, but a shame the England are out, but they were a lacklustre on the night
  15. I have hired cars many times in Pattaya and, because they drive on the same side of the road as we do in UK that does help. Driving is not such an issue as parking as you into the centre and the bars. It can be a pain in the arse, where motorbike parking is relatively easy. I have driven up to Roi Et a number of times and quite enjoyed the journey. Bit of stress driving up the mountain at night but on the whole, quite relaxing. One thing I have noticed, is the number of lorries and cars driving in the faster lane of the dual carriage ways and having to undertake as they wont move out of the
  16. Is that a problem ? There was nothing sinister about it from my point of view or with the intent of trolling. As you say, its a very old post I had never seen the thread before, and came across it when searching for another topic. My comment was meant to be light hearted. If it is against the rules I am happy to edit it.
  17. I take it you gave up sucking cock for the rest of the week ?
