  1. I like to do Loy Krathong leisurely - go to the far end of Jomtien - have a meal at the Sea Falcon , and watch the proceedings on the beach from my dining table - if the wife wants to go launch a raft , then she does .
  2. Bury your head between her thighs and that should deaden the noise
  3. Thought this might amuse the members - don't think it will be shown on True Vision http://adsoftheworld.com/media/tv/four_seasons_condoms_getnaked Also on youtube as shown here
  4. Personally , I think the prices are reasonble considering the hike in cost-of-living here . The comments re shisha are fair and I would recommend Maysom reconsider and abandon the idea unless she has a totally separate room where shisha smokers can go .
  5. Thank you for posting these pics - very interesting
  6. I hope every member has a very happy and successful 2014 - Cheers , everybody
  7. Whatever is there - roundabout, lights , etc - it will not matter until correct driving rules are drummed into their thick heads . My wife , who does the most of our driving ,is a good driver in terms of Thai drivers , but even she has some peculiar logic that I cannot change . When we go to the UK , I do all the driving because the thought of her applying Thai standards to UK roads fills me with horror . Such things as 'Give way to the right ' have no meaning to her . But how do you teach the masses here when even the police ignore basic common-sense.
  8. So maybe some of these ladyboys are really girls - yeah !!!!
  9. Tom - I appreciate that you are only acting as a moderate moderator but my comment was only pointing out what an unnecessary snide remark that was . Personally , if I were moderator , which thank god I am not , I would be looking at a certain person's posts very closely - Many of his posts tend to insult or inflame .
  10. Have just returned from a stay at Hua Hin - - Pattaya , take note , the soi's of Hua Hin were clean , the girls more friendly , prices lower - It would be a great place to live
  11. Martin - I think you are right in respect of 'the girls' but surely you pay taxes ???? And surely the hotels and restaurants etc that the mongers use pay tax ???? And mongers do shop as well as 'bar fine'
  12. Best place for a Christmas Dinner ? That ould be a matter of personal choice - My personal choice would be Jamesons - I have Christmas Dinner there every year - but it gets booked very quickly . This year I booked 2 weeks ago making it 6 weeks in advance and it was virtually full then - I also booked a room at the adjoining hotel - the Nova Park hotel - over 100 rooms - and I got the last room . So Pattaya will be busy that week-end
  13. I have to say that having lived here for many years and seen how casual the Thais are regarding quite dangerous situations , the number of house/business fires are very small - In fact , I have never seen a house fire . Yet I have seen many a roadside fire .
  14. I have lived outside Pattaya for over 6 years - I live in the Rayong province - there is good shopping in Rayong , plenty of good clean beaches , costs about 10% less than Pattaya , and it is only 30/45 minutes drive to Pattaya . And none of the frenzy of Pattaya .
  15. If you went with them , would you have to wear a fur-lined condom ?
  16. The OP said 'venues' - so I like 2 places that are not on the bar/gogo circuit - The Green Bottle on 2nd St just past Soi Diane (they have very good pianist/combo and The Moon River on Pattaya North where they have a very good filipino band . But then I am an old git of a pensioner .
  17. The exchange rate is much more relevant to the expats than the 2/3 week visitor - The latter will bemoan the rate but still come and still spend his money - after all, this is his holiday - but expats are living here and most have a wife , permanent girlfriend or a partner so the Barfines are an incidental - it is the everyday expenses that affect the expat - electricity , TV packages , Petrol , Food (Farang) , etc - whilst expats indulge in the Bar scene , it is not the same priority as it is for the tourist.
  18. When I go to do my 90 day report at Rayong Immigration , I am often astounded at the vast number of Lao/Cambodian girls getting their 90 day stamp , usually accompanied by a Thai minder . Many of them are employed in the factory complexes around but many are otherwise employed .
  19. If you googled FLB bar , naturally FLB bar would come up first - duh ! If you are looking for FLB , it is not going to show you another place first , is it ?
  20. My principal concern is the exchange rate - There is no way the £ will get stronger in the foreseeable future so the only hope of getting more baht for my pound is for the baht to weaken . With the cost of living getting higher here every day , more baht per £ means that my cost of living remains steady .
  21. I have visited the States many times and always enjoyed the food - unfortunately I was raised to clear my plate and I found that impossible there . Also some of the choices seemed a bit weird to me i.e. iced doughnuts for breakfast and jam/peanut butter sandwiches but ... to each his own , after all there are some pretty weird meals here in LOS i.e. crispy fried chicken feet
