Reminds me of where I am for a few more months.................sunny and warm south Florida.
-
Quite possible now that Sliverpool has bent over,Man City is in turmoil and Totts can go either awy.(This sentence should have Villayouth excited in several ways). AV squad is bigger this year, adding Dunne and no longer having to play in Europe will let them concentrate on EPL.
-
Or fry bacon...............
-
Hopefully the Lek breakfast is better than the lunch and dinner buffets, which are the worst around.
-
Way OT.............. How about those Villans? Finally a squad big enough to compete in EPL and no more Euro worries to contend with,so onward and upward.Maybe Champions League next year, which means an even bigger squad next year. OK,back on topic-seems a fair price-I too am curious, but unlike you,not bi-curious.......

Jetstar, owned by Qantas Airways, and Malaysia’s AirAsia confirmed on Friday they are in talks about a partnership to cut costs and consolidate their positions as the lowest-cost airlines in the Asia-Pacific region. Qantas, the still-profitable Australian flag carrier – which remains well positioned compared with its international rivals – said its wholly owned subsidiary and AirAsia had entered into preliminary discussions regarding a potential joint venture. AirAsia, the region’s biggest low-cost carrier, and Jetstar have grown rapidly and are looking to expand routes across south-east Asia and Australia, beyond Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, China and Australia. Derek Sadubin, chief operation officer for the Centre for Asia-Pacific Aviation, said there was no talk of an equity arrangement between the two budget carriers or a strategic alliance on revenue-generating activities such as code sharing. However, such deeper ties could eventually happen if the two carriers established a working partnership when doing procurement deals. “As the worlds lowest-cost airline, AirAsia is attractive to rivals who want to emulate their cost leadership,” said Mr Sadubin. “It’s a feather in their cap if they can partner with a major foreign carrier like Jetstar on cost reduction. It will help them lower their costs even further and allow them to continue to offer extremely low fares in an intensely competitive market,” he said. Analysts said this potential deal probably did foreshadow a more formal tie-up, but that the regulatory approvals for business combination or revenue scheduling were so drawn-out that the carriers looked at what they could achieve quickly to benefit both parties. One analyst suggested that if Air Asia and Jetstar placed a big enough order for parts or for an engine, their combined power might encourage manufacturers not only to offer a good price but potentially develop more advanced and lower-cost aircraft. However, competition in the region is intensifying. Tiger Airways, which is modelled on Jetstar, recently began offering services between Sydney and Melbourne. Virgin Blue has forged an alliance with Delta to put pressure on Qantas’s transPacific yields.

Possible loss of American Airlines flights to Narita
bigdelta replied to short's topic in Airline Discussion
Thin, hard leather seats?Really?Thick, supportive, cloth seats.Too funny. I have ridden both too. Now business class is totally different, though.Though I'm sure American's seats are cloth and comfy too.LOL! Cloth seats-this is the 21st century. -
Good price but doesn't meet his needs-he wanted to be the FOR Christmas.

"Seat" G,you mean.

Ironically, the BKK-Had Yai trip was my only problem. They changed the departure time which didn't work for me and refunded my fare as I mentioned above,in a timely manner. In fact, that was the free fare they offered (IIRC),but they still had the surcharges back then.
-
My longest flts were Macau and Singapore.Singapore was an older 737 which was nearly empty.
-
Can't blame you one bit. I have used them 4 times this past year with only 1 change of schedule.I cancelled and they refunded w/i 10 days.

Joeykocker critical of something-surely you jest!

Possible loss of American Airlines flights to Narita
bigdelta replied to short's topic in Airline Discussion
JAL is still considering both carriers.Whichever is best for them is who they will choose.AA will not drop their Narita service if JAL chooses Delta-it's too profitable for them. The seats on Delta do not suck-it's a 777 for chrissakes.Maybe you flew on a recently painted former NW 747. Possibly your ass was sore prior to boarding................. -

Phnom Penh Hotel near LeCyrcee!
bigdelta replied to Bornloser's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I stayed at Flamingo in March. Is there still construction across the street, starting (too) early?Thin walls but good breakfast and free airport p/u. There was a small hotel about half way to the river from Flamingo that looked promising and the adjacent bar was done in black and white-easy name but too easy for me to remember. -

Marston also announced a companywide freeze on basic pay and said cabin crews operating out of London's Heathrow Airport would be downsized --so that the typical 747 jet flying from London's Heathrow Airport on a long-haul trip would take off carrying 14 members of crew instead of the usual complement of 15. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/BA-cuts-1000...l?x=0&.v=10

New Pizzas at the Pattaya Beer Garden
bigdelta replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Actually Pete, running a pizza place is not that challenging. Many return customers are returnees because of your pizza and first timers either like or dislike your offerings, choosing to return or not. Of course, the same can be said of full service restaurants,to some degree, but pizza palaces for sure.I was co-owner of a shop back in the 80s,so maybe things have changed. -

Will you be including tomato sauce-a rarity in Patts? I once received 5 packets of ketchup along with my pizza from a "supposed" decent pizza place in Jomtien. 50b-great price. -
BANGKOK, July 23 (Reuters) - Thai Airways International THAI.BK said on Thursday it had negotiated with Airbus (EAD.PA) to delay the delivery of six A380 superjumbos to December 2012 from late 2010 to reflect weak airline business. "We want to postpone the delivery as far as possible to reflect the current market conditions," Chairman Ampon Kittiampon told reporters after its board meeting. "We have agreed with Airbus for the delay," he said adding the first A380 would replace Boeing 747 plane, which would be decommissioned in 2012. The airline, majority owned by the state, is among several in Asia struggling to cope with reduced air travel because of the economic crisis and the latest flu outbreak. It was also hit by political instability in Thailand that cut tourist numbers. The airline has also ordered eight A330 aircraft, six of them to be delivered this year, and the delivery of the six was on schedule, Ampon said. The percentage of seats sold in the first half was below its target of 70 percent, and Thai Airways planned to boost the number to at least 72 percent in the second half, he said. The airline is in the process of restructuring after reporting a record net loss for the fourth quarter of 2008. But it reported a net profit of 7.87 billion baht ($232 million) in the first quarter, boosted by a foreign exchange gain and lower costs. On Thursday, Thai Airways shares were up 4.7 percent, outperforming a 2.3 percent rise of the overall Thai stock market.
