emailed Alex and got a reply the next day. I asked him to take me to Korat (airport is closed - last time I checked) - need to go there to play with the Army for Cobra Gold. ALex quoted me a price of 2500 Baht. No problem as I will get reimbursed. Will let you all know the results of the trip. (29 April)

stayed at Dynasty BKK in March 2004 and decided to check out the "new" Dynasty Inn at Pattaya - Soi 13 across the street from Lek Hotel. Area is very quiet and convenient with buffets at Lek Hotel close by and cheap. Food at Dynasty was decent but better bargains are close by. room was 990 baht and the transfer from BKK to Pattaya was free via 12 passenger ban (we had 6 in the van) and leaves BKK at 1100. trip took about 2 1/2 hours since one of the bellboys "stole" someone's suitcase and threw it on the van. guess it was near one of the guys traveling with us. so we had to wait about 1/

http://www.pattaya-at-night.com/news/bahtbus.htm http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/reader/reader427.html http://www.pattayapages.com/orientation/getabout.html I usually pay 10 baht. Easiest thing to do is give the money to your girl (10 + 10) and have her pay. Never get in a stationary baht bus. Flag one down that is moving.

40K/Month works out to about 1300 Baht per day. You would have to have a pretty frugal life style to get by on that. When I vacation in Pattaya I plan for US$ 125-150 per day (5000-6000 Baht per day). Of course it will be somewhat different if you live there as opposed to visiting for 3-4 weeks. good luck

go here http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ download adaware (FREE) scan your computer and you whould find some evidence of Malware/trackware/spyware - this shit gets in your registry and does evil things to your computer. Delete everything that shows up in the Adaware scan. May require a re-boot. I also runs scans using Spybot - Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?...p?page=download another Freebie....sometimes catches stuff that Adaware doesn't. Make sure you get the latest updates prior to running the scans good luck -
I flew last Jul and was in LOS for 29 days...my fare from Honolulu was $520 including taxes and fees....you just have to pester the airlines and travel agents. i have found best prices 2-4 weeks prior to departure.

I always enjoyed sitting on the couches or chairs right past the bar area and the overhead A/C would blow directly down on me (and my partner). It was great for me but the grls always said it was too cold....and I always offered to keep them warm. If it was a "problem"...then we would move to the rear of the bar (back window area) and all was OK.

just get a visa prior to departure...avoid the hassle -
from a post on another thread here about TIms stayed there in Jul/Aug 2003....and I have stayed in past years...got room A2..with jacuzzi in main room for 700 baht per day....stayed for just over 3 weeks and yes..cash only...so you walk down the street to the ATM and withdraw some cash - no problem. i paid in full the day before i departed. and it is about a 5-10 minute walk from Tims to where Penthouse is. no phone in room - which can be a good thing no restaurant..but Lek Hotel is right across the street and Kiss restaurant is a short walk away. the rooms are very big, with a stand

stayed at TIm's for the past 3 years...and have also stayed at Fliiper (Soi 8) and Lek. Tim's wins hands down. took about 15-20 different girls there (one at a time - of course) and never had a problem and all the girls really like the place...they are surprised by the size of the room and that it isnt noisy being right =over a go-gio. the staff is great and really look after you. will continue to stay there. room A-2 is good as it is only one flight up and in the back...so nice and quiet. about the only drawbacks are no restaurant/room service (but Lek is across the street and

I don't understand the big deal. I flew fromTokyo, Japan to Chicago non-stop over 20 years ago. You would think that the airlines could do LAX to BKK or HNL to BKK non-stop today. Oh well

Pattaya to Korat/Nakhon Ratchasima
upena replied to grs90's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
closest I could find was a bus schedule that shows Korat > Pattaya- but not the other way around. but at least it shows that there is a bus run between the 2 cities for about 200 Baht. not sure how up-to-date the web site is. http://www.koratinfo.com/aboutkr/e-korat26.htm perhaps an email to them at banjong@koratinfo.com will help -
A2 is in the back...quiet and in total darkness with curtains closed - only light comes in through bathroom window. numerous time the girls woke up and thought it was still early morning and it was noon or so. and the jacuzzi is in the main room as seen in the pics above. bathroom has regular shower. the last pic is not from A2 but from a mini-tour I received prior to booking A2 - forget which room it was - just took the pic to show my friends.

I believe that a lot of the 70's and 80's and early 90's problems were attributed to CAL hiring ex-fighter pilot jockies to fly comercial planes. Obviously this didn't work.
