One of the easiest things I have done is to use a DEBIT card for gettting my baht gun reloaded. I currently use a Paypal debit card - so it is easy transfer money from my checking account to it (free but takes 3-4 business days). I use that as my vacation card - I know exactly what is in it from the beginning and keep track of withdrawls. I also have my checking account card as a back up and have only had to use it when the debit card has run out of money (too many beers and too many women). It is very convenient, can be used at the ATMs all over Pattaya 24/7. To me, traveler's checks are

Bars closing at midnight!!!!!
upena replied to davethailand's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
back in the early 70's in Bangkok the bars closed at midnight. This just created another venue. Bars that opened at midnight, "coffee shops" (Grace hotel and Thurmae back then) and some "discos" that only operated from midnight til 6 AM. If the bars close earlier...just start drinking earlier...no big deal -
I have stayed right upstairs...one floor above the go-go...and didn't hear a thing from below...but if you are worried...you can always ask for a room one more flight up

you may want to check out this place - the Sanctuary of Truth. http://www.sanctuaryoftruth.com/index-eng.html I had never heard of the place until this last trip. For $25 each got transportation, tour, horsback ride, dolphin show, and lunch. Quite an amazing place. Some pics in my last TR http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10591 and for a few bucks more the kids can swim with the dolphins

all the calculations wind up being a multiple of nine.....what is really nice is if you perform it over and over...the symbols change...but all the multiples of nine are still the same It does not know what number you chose....all it knows is that it is a multiple of nine...and all the multiples of nine are the same symbol
-
mathematics if you pick 10 and add the digits and then subtract from 10 you get 9 same with 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, etc...you always get 9 if you pick 20 - you wind up with 18..same with 21, 22, etc...always 18 next set is 27...then 36....45...54...63..72..81. look closely at the symbols...every multiple of "9" is the same symbol (up to 81)

try Tim's http://timbarbeerpattaya.com/ across from Lek hotel - with big Jaxuzzi in room for about 700-750 per night....and with a go-go and beer bar in your basement - you can't lose -
I just walk out the door and tell the guys/gals with the clipboards that ask "Where you go?" - that "I go Pattaya" - it is 1650 Baht - 1500 for the trip and 150 for the tolls.....in a car - not a metered taxi. You can try to bargain it down a few baht - but why waste time. You can also holler out...."ANYONE else going to pattaya" - and hope to share the cost

I don'r think that is a factor. Higher gas prices are killing the airlines right now. Can't really see any reason for 'em to lower their prices - I just booked turough a travel agency for $670 (about $75 - $100 more than I normally pay - BUT - I have tickets in hand. China AIr web sight lists prices as $605 (+85 in taxes and fuel surchrge) for Aug and Sep (when the booking part of the web site is working). Travelocity and expedia list same flight at over $900 - but you know how it goes - every day there are different prices listed. Last year we flew CAL and got the tickers for about
