  1. The same happens to me. I figured that the cookies set by the Board do not work properly since the reseting 8 days ago. I recently changed from the Internet Explorer to Opera. If this proves to not be the cause of the problem, I shall PM Pete about it. Appendix: checked it, works perfectly with Internet Explorer. Shall check my Opera's settings...
  2. And the congratulations go to: England. I can't even bitch about the referee - England was simply better. Good luck in the next game.
  3. ...as long as those pilots have no tooth-ache, it should be OK...
  4. ... and the referee denied Latvians at least 1 if not 2 penalties in the 2nd hald: Baumann on Verpaskovskis and Woerns on the same guy... Yes, I'd be happy if Croatia managed to beat England and advance to the QF, too. The trouble is: we need to outscore the English, as I am sure they'll score at least once. Colina is going to be the referee on monday. Hope for a great and fair game...
  5. I'll cheer the Swiss on monday on the grounds of principle...
  6. France scored 2 goals during the OT against England, 4 days ago. Today, it was 1 Croatian own goal plus 1 Croatian 'assist' for Trezeguet, who played the ball with his hand prior to scoring. 2 minutes into the OT our Ivica Mornar missed France's goal from 3 meters away... :crying For 50 years now, it was always being said that football is a game of 2 halves, 22 players and 1 ball and the winning team's name is Germany. Maybe it is time to modify the winning/surviving team's name to: France. Btw, the French didn't really impress me tonight... ...or was Croatia so good?
  7. Are those non-LF models safe to purchase? Btw: great post, BigD.
  8. Yep, a pity it is... Is there a possibility of sorting members by country?
  9. Thaksin seems to be a publicity wizard - he got a lot of it, as it now seems, for free.
  10. ...4WD, ESP, low mileage, Xenon, TCS, SBC, BodyControl,... You bet... BigDUSA, a nice one.
  11. A bit of trivia for you, Alfred: which croatian player/s played for West Ham during the 2nd half of the 90s ('the Premiership times'...)?
  12. Reinstall windows. If you have the necessary time... Almost forgotten: not with the recovery CD, but the complete installation. What has happened to the: ? I don't want to be negative, but it still sounds dangerous, the state of your PC, I mean. Good luck. :)
  13. Tom, yep - thought so. :) Btw, as a kid I was a bit of a plane-spotter - loved it, actually. :) echster, thanks for the link. Hoss, it sounds creepy - I don't want even to imagine it...
  14. Eneukman, glad that the state of your PC's OS obviously didn't become critical in the meantime. Norton AV is OK, but try getting some of the better freeware AV programs. Install them without letting them be resident in the memory/system-tray. Switch the NAv off and run the alternatives - more tends to be better... For example, one of my current alternatives is downloadable from www.avast.com. Do you use any ad-ware and/or spy-ware blocker? A firewall? Anyway, if your PC and NAV are still running it sounds like you picked nothing worse than a dialer or a spy-bot somewhere on
  15. Not necessarily: I guess Tom has read it from the not-posted right-hand half of the lovely photo that he had posted above (only the left-hand half, of course)... :)
  16. Tom, thanks for drawing my attention to the somewhat ancient character of my PC-semantics and PC-vocabulary. Does that make me "calorifically deprived"? Cheers (with water... )
  17. I do eat all the hot chillie-enriched thingies that Thailand can offer, enjoy it thoroughly even while sometimes overdoing it ("Give me the Thai version of that - I can take it" ). Note: I wasn't addressing the 'heavy' [i.e. spicy] food in my initial reply on this thread, but the high-fat kind. I said I couldn't take it and do not understand how anyone can. No attack in there.
  18. Tom, I am positive that you actually meant: 'our horizontally-challenged brethren'. To the topic: I hope they weren't simulating a typical landing...
  19. Ooops, if it isn't a 'Photoshop-photo', it surely looks like that bird shouldn't have flown later that day (or week, month...).
  20. Nothing at all, but that's not even distantly related to what we were on about here, IMO... Have you ever tried/eaten any of the German special-ones?
  21. Eneukman, I don't think I am an expert on the subject, but I do believe that you have a worm/virus on your PC. During the start-up it gets started together with the OS's system programs. Then it tries doing what you have described. Which anti-virus and firewall programs do you use? (I hope you do use them... ) Which OS do you run on your PC (WinXPHome, WinXPPro, Win2000, WinME, something else...)? If I were you, I'd make a security copy of my data on a CD-R (or more CD-Rs, if you have more data), get a proper virus-scanner tool (using someone else's PC) and then run it on
  22. Jimmybb, no problem and no offense meant. :) Simply: I can't eat fat food during the summer-time: probably culturally induced. I prefer chicken or fish when the weather is warm/hot. :) Btw, I can appreciate a good sausage meal, be it any of German sorts, Hungarian, Croatian (there are local specialties in Croatia, like "kulen", yummie...) or any other... Enjoy your LOS stay.
  23. sinbinjack, some of the restaurants can provide various sorts of a really good Wurst, including the Thuringian and Bavarian specialties (check Naklua). :) What beats me is: why would anyone eat a sausage when it is 30+ (or 40+) deg Celzius outside? No details, sorry, as my info comes from watching and talking with others who did eat them in Pty...
  24. You mean: there was too much fat in this thread?
  25. Well, I did like the slight pushiness on behalf of a few English and German girls, last summer on Rhodos/Rhodes... Btw, greek islands during the summer are definitely not Pattaya-opposite. :) Re Non-European women: being slightly exotic goes a long way and works for both parties... Cheers
