  1. The Doors: Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) Btw, on the same record there are: Take It As It Comes Light My Fire Twentieth Century Fox
  2. Hope you'll be drinking most of those drinks, too... As for your Brasilian friend - if she is good-looking and unwilling to share her body with you, then it is mostly "unluckily-opposite", I'd say.
  3. TIGERMAN is yet another fake... He even had the nerve to try framing Gabor...
  4. Opposite to Pattaya = a bit south from Lima, Peru, South America, on the Pacific coast...
  5. Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) - DJ Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis Bextor I could think of many others, but this is the most recent lovely fitting one...
  6. I've seen the movie, but didn't consider Caine's acting so outstanding. The movie, on the whole, is a good one - it has that special atmosphere I value so highly... :) IMPORTANT: I am adding a fellow Boardie to the list: The great, magnificent, incomparable kjvegas
  7. Marlon Brando Al Pacino Charlie Chaplin Robert De Niro ... Now, this is getting stupid from my perspective, as I'd probably end up with the post of similar length as kenandlat's, but with just the names of the actors (no movies...) :)
  8. I don't believe they do. Please, don't bring them onto this idea...
  9. Fatboyfat, my avatar's moves are smoother than yours' Ok, I'll check whether Kevin is indeed [a] John... Keep partying (as I see you are)
  10. The lovely Larry [Croft] is going all the way, posting wildly about 5 hours ago... Now, whose alter ego might he be? We had at least 4 red cards during the last few days - our prime candidates... 2 Brits I'd rule out - Larry would be smarter than that. So: the little politician (aka Kelpie) or omj (aka oldmanjohn), both aka PP group... I stand to be corrected, if need be...
  11. Pieman, there comes buna. There comes Larry Croft. I wonder when and if this parade/charade shall come to an end... Still, it is oh so obvious.
  12. Tom, could you please post a link for that FRA-BKK deal? :) Edit: I have found these 2 links: http://www.thai-jet.de/ http://www.sunline.de/ Both sites are in german, OK with me. Regards BP
  13. Read this: http://www.pattayapages.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7638 Keep partying...
  14. Off-note: when it rains buckets-wise (usually not longer than an hour, in the evening and it feels so, really), power-failures in the beer bars occasionally occur, but it usually gets sorted out quite fast, so nothing to worry about... :)
  15. Wait till take-off, then complain to the plane-staff if you've been robbed of your space...
  16. monkeyman: a 4-liner? What has happened? nidnoyham, I see your point. :) I, probably, should have written 'melodrama' instead od 'drama' and 'pseudo-realistic' instead of 'realistic'. Marketing talk around that movie obviously influenced me a bit... I maintain that the film is a great example of proper movie-craftsmanship and has good atmosphere, rhythm and camera. Monica Belucci is very hot, too.
  17. I saw the US-Navy troops (not just guys, there were ladies, too :) ) a few years ago and there never was any trouble at all. I'd worry about something much more obvious: when the Navy hits Pattaya, Pattaya shall instantly become a target for a terrorist attack. Memory of Indonesia is still fresh in my mind...
  18. laffnliv, no problem at all. As I see it, the movie was not made as entertainment in the 'fun category'. More of a mixture of realistic drama and mystical/religious documentary with bits of anything Gibson considered useful to help the movie sell. He did a good job, as the ticket-sales statistics can illustrate. Btw, Gibson is a catholic, so that is being used to support the film in my part of the world... For me, the quality of movie making and directing, made it worth the time and money to go and see it. In these categories the movie is simply fabulous. The rest of it h
  19. laffnliv, my english must have deteriorated badly, as I believed it was clear from my previous posts in this thread that I saw the movie (in a theatre). Yes, the script brings no new insight into the story. Still, I liked the movie, as it has great pictures (camera work...), atmosphere and rhythm - all very important to me (except when Schwarzenegger plays a part - priorities change then... :) ). Not extremely religious either (or at least: not cheaply so). To summarize: it worked for me, but not necessarily for someone/anyone else.
  20. Well, my mention of him 'acting' + a smilie meant something pretty close to your comment, though not so decidedly... :) Still, there are the likes of: Mad Max (the first and only...) The Million Dollars Hotel (I hope I got the title right) Indochina (or what's the name of the movie featuring Sigourney Weaver?) Btw, great posts on the variety of english just in the UK. Worldwide it gets even more interesting...
  21. Whatever the weather will be, sun tan is guaranteed, as long as you don't oversleep till 19:00 every day...
  22. Gibson directed and produced the film - I didn't see him acting in it. :)
  23. Film is quite OK (though not as great as the enormous hype...). Virtually no english is spoken in the film. I do not believe Gibson considered giving Judas english accent, as the Romans were far stronger contenders... As he is catholic (as well as 90+% of the actors and the set crew...) he seems to have put an enormous effort into this film - looks even a bit "overdone"...
