  1. I have used Mr T about a dozen times in the last couple of years with very good service. Like MM said, 1,000 baht all in from the airport to Pattaya and 900 baht for the return trip. I email him about 2 weeks before my schedule arrival and confirm a few day before I arrive. Alway there with a sign with my name. For my return, I just stop in his office on Soi Dianne across from the Areca Lodge to arrange and give him my hotel information and time to be picked up. LeoTex
  2. I believe they count the day you arrive as 1 day, so that would make it 31 days. LeoTex
  3. one and the same!!! and maybe a couple bottles of tequila rose LeoTex
  4. Arrive Bangkok from Tokyo on Delta fight #283 at 23:30 (11:30 pm). Have booked with Mr. T. Anyone wanting to share ride, please post here, PM or email me. Thanks, LeoTex
  5. Rumor has it, that you are very high maintenance and again just a rumor. LeoTex
  6. This is old new, but never the less bad news when something like this happens. Here is a link to the story on PIatNight a little over a month ago. PIatNight Story There was a lot of talk when I was there last week. LeoTex
  7. I have spent some fun times in TQ2 and will miss it. Alf has been a great host and there have been some good parties there. I think I still pick out some of the little styro foam balls from time to time from being in there durning Christmas time. Have also taken a few cuties from TQ2 over the years. LeoTex
  8. I don't spend a lot of time in Bangkok, but when I do I stay at the Dynasty Inn on Soi 4. It is a few meters from Nana Plaza and several beerbars. Just about across the street from the Nana Hotel carpark which is loaded with freelancers if that is your thing. Just a few minutes walk to the BTS Nana Station overhead rail system. IMHO, one of the best locations to stay in Bangkok. LeoTex
  9. Norflox, Maybe the other way around, He told to print a pic of his 'avatar' so I would recognize him at the airport. LeoTex
  10. Damn it be nice!!! BTW, I thought you went to Africa for a week. forest51 and I have already hooked up to share a ride that night. One more BTW, he is also one of your fellow country-men. LeoTex
  11. forest51, I arrive the same night at 23:05 On Delta from Tokyo and straight to Pattaya. I sent you a email, so if still interested please get back with me. LeoTex
  12. offering Margarita's where? did I miss part of thread? ??????????????? LeoTex
  13. When I log in, I go to the 'IP Board' page where I can see all the threads, but at the top there is not the 'link' to click on the inside or outside webcam. All I have at the top is Forums, Members and Calendar. I logged into the webcam from off the FLB Board. I guess we just need to wait until MM gets the Heading back like it was before the upgrade. Maybe the no advertisment flashes at the top are a good thing, lol. Or is it, that when I logged in for the first time I went to the wrong area. LeoTex
  14. I'm with you spike, I can see some hotel employee taking a little and hope it's not noticed, but to clean out the box of everything and just the one box. I have stayed there twice in the past and will spend the first 3 days of my next trip in July. I would like to also have more details of what happened and most of all what the hotel did to help the OP out. Of course all they (hotel) say is "how do we know whats in your safty box"? I have always had the mindset that the safey boxes behind the desk were the safest compaired to the ones in the room. The hotels tell you that the key you have is the only copy of that key and if you loose it, a locksmith must be called to be able to get back into your box at sometimes a cost of $50 US or more. I would think that the hotels do have an extra key just in case the one you have is lost. A few times over the years I have checked into a hotel with in a in room safe to find the previous person didn't follow the instructions and left the safe door opened and also locked. Call the front desk and up they come with an electronic gaget and your safe is open in a mater of a few seconds. Whats to stop them from doing that when your not in the room? If this did happen, I would hope the Eastiny Residence would step up and take responsibility, but hey TIT. I sure would mind to spend an extra 5 days in the LOS, but not this way. Change my return flight cost $150 US and extra if they don't have the same class seat available, which at the last minute they wouldn't and one time it was going to cost me about $800 US just to change my flight a few days later. Then you also have the extra hotel expense and going to the embassy in Bangkok to get a replacement passport. Again hoped the hotel took care of it and also would like to hear a update from the OP. I have also stayed at a few of the other Eastiny's in past and have ever had any kind of problems so won't cancel my 'prepaid' reservation at this time. LeoTex
  15. I didn't even know the rates went up until you told me. I stayed there in April for Songkran in a deluxe seaview room at the old rate because I booked it while staying there in December. I have the discount card thats good for just one year and also got the 100 baht discount. I didn't know that they have a new discount card that gave 300 baht discount a night. That will bring the price back down to the regular price before the increase. My card is just good for the one year and has well been worth the 350 baht cost. I stay at the Sandy Spring 4 times per year at a average of 9 nights a stay. So 350 baht to save 3,600 baht a year. I have already booked for a 8 night stay in July and thinking about finding a new place to stay in the future because of the increase, but will rethink this if the discount is 300 baht. If anyone knows for sure about the new card and the 300 baht discount please post. LeoTex
  16. There was some in the built-in closet for some unpacking. I agree about staying on Soi 7. My very first trip stayed the Flipper Lodge on Soi 8 as well as the several (many) return trips as well as Soi 7. Both Flippers, Eastiny's and a few others until one Songkran said time to find somewhere else. Found the Sandy Spring on Soi 13 and moved out of the Eastiny never to return to Soi 7 or 8 to sleep again. Can't believe putting up with all the bar noise all night long over the years. Now stay in the Soi 13 and Lk Metro area all the time. Did the Page 10 on Soi 10 a few trips ago The whole area IMHO is the best area to say in Pattaya. LeoTex
  17. I have stayed at the Areca a few days my past two trips. I don' think there are any rooms that would be effected by noise from the bars. I haven't stayed in the new wing, but had a nice room overlooking the pool both times. The location is good, come out the front and you are on Soi Dianna and almost at the enterence to LK Metro. Exit at the rear where the new Evergreen is located and you come out just behind the Avenue Shopping Mall, cut through and you are on 2nd Road. Like exwannabe said, nice pools, and breakfast included for both me and the current gf of the previous night. Booked throught Agoda and I think got a better rate than booking directly with the hotel. LeoTex
  18. Thanks for the heads up, That will give about 5lbs or more for extra weight for something else, like extra condoms. Will get the Camels in the carry on. LeoTex
  19. Thanks for the info, I leave 1 week from tomorrow morning my time. I have checked the 'seat chart' on my flights and looks like there have been some cancellations as there are more seat open now since I booked. Both from the states to Tokyo and from Tokyo to Bangkok. Back durning both Sars and the Bird Flu, had all 4 seats in the middle, just lift the arm rest and had a good sleep. Flying economy this flight, should be able to get a couple of empty seats together and stretch out to sleep. I won't drink the water, wonder if the Japanise draft beer in the Delta Club has been contaminated as I don't want to turn up in Bangkok glowing. Scott, how about the flights arriving BKK from Narita, any special checking of the passengers? LeoTex
  20. Arrive Bangkok Airport at 11:45 PM on Delta from Tokyo the night of April 12. I have car booked with Mr T to the Sandy Spring. If anyone wants to share a ride, PM, email or post here. Thanks, LeoTex
  21. Same same here MM, I can now scratch that event off my to do list. LeoTex
  22. I stayed next door at the Eastiny Residence next door one night last month and went in and had them show me a room. The rooms are very nice and large. Good location on Soi 10 and between 2nd Road and Beach Road. I have booked a room there in December for 2 nights through 'agoda' booking site. I believe the price on agoda will be a little less than booking through the hotel itself. Some good photos on 'agoda' website of the rooms, restaurant, lobby and pool. If you check out their website you need to find and click the 'English' logo to view the site in English. http://page10hotel.com/ Nice pool on the top, front desk staff every friendly (cute) and speak very good english. Will do a review after staying there late December. LeoTex
  23. The Mr. Dream Transport that started this thread is long gone. He was scaming us all along about his fleet of cars and everything else. Had the right plates on his cars, wrong. Had the proper insurance, wrong. Farmed out his bookings. 'trooperjb' I wouldn't wait and count on a reply from him. Just book with someone else like Mr T, who is in Pattaya. LeoTex
  24. Arrive at 12:50 afternoon from Manila on Philippines Air flight PR 730. Have Mr T booked to hotel in Pattaya. If interested in sharing a ride, please post here, PM or email me. Thanks, LeoTex
  25. I have used Mr T several times in the past. Nice cars and good drivers. A few days ago I sent Mr T a email to be picked up at the airport. I got a reply back from him in about a hour. I guess his son must have been on when I sent the request. My pick-up is a little over 3 weeks out, so like someone else suggested, will comfirm a few days before I arrive at BKK. Will not use Mr Toom, (BTW is not the same person as Mr T) because he left me hight and dry at the hotel for my trip back to the airport. Called him and he said that he would get a replacement which never happened and then must have turned off both of his numbers, again Mr Toom, not Mr T. I only repeat this because on an other thread a few think they are both the same, after been told otherwise, lol. LeoTex
