FREE BAR FINE any night you want this week
LeoTex replied to alan lad's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Let see, two of us drinking and we spend 5,000 baht between the two of us. Do we fight it out or flip a coin to see who gets the free bf. Being solo and spending 5,000 baht in the bar, I wouldn't have any money left to pay the girl in the morning. Your not taking care of that also or are you? LeoTex -

Adam, Nice photos, and the girls do look very nice when dressed for Loy Kratong, in fact they look nice all the time. Also looks like you have a new tailor! LeoTex

The Pharmacist A nice, calm, and respectable lady went into the pharmacy right up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, "I would like to buy some cyanide." The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?" The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband." The pharmacist's eyes got big, and he exclaimed, "Lord, have mercy! I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband! That's against the law! I'll lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen! Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!" The lady reach

Pattaya mad, Thanks for asking the question, as I was getting ready to do so. I think the 550 baht is a good price and I just sent Mr Toom a email asking to be picked up next month when I arrive to take me to my Bangkok hotel. I already have him booked to be picked the next morning at my hotel to take me to Pattaya. I flew out of the new airpot last month, but this will my first time arriving. I think it will be easier to have someone pick me up for the first time until I have the arrival sorted out and trying to get the shuttle bus to the airport taxi stagging area. Plus his pric

Taxi to Pattaya from Sukhumvit Road (BKK)
LeoTex replied to Nakaleen's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Nakaleen, Yes Mr Toom picks up from hotels in Bangkok, we have used him several times from Bangkok hotel to Pattaya hotels. Same price 1200 baht with tolls included in the price. Have also used him several times from Pattaya hotel to Bangkok hotel. Mr Toom's contact info can be found in the 'Meeting-cost sharing' section. LeoTex -
Gave Kevin's taxi service a try going back to my hotel in Bankgok from Pattaya. The price was 1200 baht which encluded the tolls. In fact 3 of used his service that same week. All 3 of the trips, the driver was on time if not early, and the drivers knew their way around Bangkok. Will use them again. LeoTex

Brawl with a Bahtbus driver
LeoTex replied to comingtopattaya's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
IMHO, when a baht bus is stopped when you approach it, it is a taxi. If you flag one down or it stops to let others off and you get on it's a baht bus. I stay on Soi 13 and walk up to 2nd to catch a baht bus. There is always one or two parked waiting for customers. As soon as you approach they will say taxi. Sometimes I will mess with them and ask how much to Big C and they will answer 100 baht. I say no thanks the one coming is only 10 baht. Like was mentioned, I see alot of guys coming out of Walking Street and jump on a baht bus parked on South Pattaya Rd. I wonder if they know the -
Checked you profile, but no information as to what country your flying out of???????? Flying from the US to Thailand you can carry on a 'hand carry on bag'. You can also carry on cameras or a laptop. What you can't carry on board the aircraft is any liquids with a few exceptions such as baby milk or prescription drugs. LeoTex

Martin, I noticed the 'flags' are missing under the BM name. On the other hand maybe this is a good thing, LOL. LeoTex

what do you think of pattaya now ?
LeoTex replied to jasmin's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I think its the reverse here, I hope there are enought Thais to fill all the jobs, such as having enought girls to work in all the new bars. Jasmin, As far as the 'stealing' thing, I need to be enlighten as to what you mean here. Are we saying that if they can't fine a job they will steal or if there are more to fill the jobs there will more Thais to steal, or maybe more places to steal from. After writing this I'm so confused. LeoTex -
I use one that I got on Speedy After the home page comes up, 'click' on Thailand and on the next page there will be several phone cards to choose from. The one I use is Clear Connections and I think it the 5th one down. It is 3 1/2 (.035) cents USD per minute. This is for both land line and cell phones anywhere in Thailand. It has no connect fees and has only one minute rounding and no other fees. Some of the other cards have weekly or twice monthly fees and some will have 3 minute rounding, so you need to be careful on which card you choose. The Clear Connections card is good for a ye

A few weeks ago I also sent a request to Mr. Toom to be picked up at a Bangkok hotel on July 14th and got a reply back very fast. My only concern is there will be 2 of us and we will not have room in the back seat for any of our luggage like the problem that was posted by someone else. I will also give a update after trying his service. LeoTex

I have taken the mini bus from the Dynasty in Bangkok to Pattaya as mentioned by upena. Arriving at the airport at midnight, I always spend my first and last night at the Dynasty in Bangkok. The mini bus is free if your staying at least two night at the Dynasty in Pattaya. I do this and then move on to somewhere else. Durning the day you can advoid the lobby and go through the carpark to get to the lift. When I was there last week they have started to close that off from dark until 6:00 AM so can't sneek any girls in that way. I have never taken two girls back to the Dynasty in Pattaya so

Thailand is a Buddhist country not a Christian one, so its like any other day in the LOS and yes, all the bar will be open and the girls waiting for your baht. LeoTex PS; a few of the girls will expect one of the hollow plastic egg with a little gold inside as a Easter gift.

800 Baht from Pattaya to the Airport - OK?
LeoTex replied to StandIn's topic in Meeting - Cost sharing
I have used the stand at the corner of 2nd Road and Soi 13 at least 8 times to go from my Pattaya hotel to a Bangkok hotel. It was 800 baht a while back, but now 850 plus the 160 for tolls. All have been metered taxi that where in Pattaya because of bring someone down from the Bangkok airport or a hotel. They have been on time every time and have never had a problem. Have always made the reservation the day before I needed the taxi. Gave the guy 350 baht at the time of the reservationg and paid the balance of 500 to the driver after reaching my hotel in Bangkok. Also paid the tolls when go -
The times I have gone straight to Pattaya from the BKK airport, I have gone outside to the taxi que and told the girl at the booth that I need a taxi to Pattaya. She tells me the price is 1500 baht and encludes all the tolls. I guess I have been lucky because never had a problem getting to the hotel. I tell them to find the beach and I will take it from there with directions. Coming in on the highway and I see the Bangkok Patttaya Hospital, I can give directions from there. LeoTex

teelack, I moved from Soi 8 to Soi 13 for the opposite reason, to get away from all the 'buzz. I have spent several trips staying at the Eastiny Inn on Soi 8. I would recommend it. Good price, nice rooms and good staff as well as the restaurant available on site. They also have a nice pool. I will give their Eastiny Resdency a try for a few days on Soi 10 durning my trip in April. LeoTex

any free on line translation programs?
LeoTex replied to phantomtiger's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
phantomtiger, If you go a Google search "thai english translation free" you will come with several sites that will translate. You will need to sort throuht them to find one that will serve your purpose. One that I used in the past that was OK, seems to be a dead link now. Hope this helps. LeoTex -
I knew this would turn funny, just didn't start out that way. LeoTex BTW; I can just see BigRobo standing outside whistling at his car.

Best value hotels in Bangkok
LeoTex replied to torrenova's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Hi torrenova. I stayed at the Land Mark on Sukumvit around the corner from Soi 4 when the Dynasty Hotel was fully booked. It is a very nice place to stay and I think I got a price of 3800 baht at the time over the internet or email. I think if your going to intertain your GF's mother, you need to get off of Soi 4, so she doesn't think your a whore monger. LeoTex
