  1. I believe Yoree is 26 or 27 -- not any older than that (no babies but a few nasty scars from a motorbike accident). A great gal. Speaks good english and knows how to make you "happy". It'll be the best 500 baht you've spent in a while. I usually found her with some of her friends around Beach Road and Soi 13. If you start exactly at Soi 13 and walk south (toward Walking Street) about 60 yards into the walk are two sets of concrete steps that go from BR down to the beach area. She and her group generally hang out around the second set of steps. When I was in Pattaya in January she was not to be found, so I am happy to see that she is back. I'm looking forward to seeing her when I return in a few months.
  2. These are some really wonderful pictures. Makes me homesick for Pattaya. By the way, someone mentioned the lady with her legs on backwards. She's a beach road freelancer and I know her. Her name is Yoree and if you are very lucky you will find her and she will show you the time of your life. I kid you not.
  3. You have to be able to run -- and, quick starts and quick stops too. It's an experience to say the least. From mid-day to mid-night it is a bitch -- and that is any time of year, high season or low season, it does not matter. If negotiating traffic is a problem for you, then stay at one of the great hotels on Soi 13. Otherwise the Areca is a great hotel and great location -- with more and more activity being developed in the Soi Bukarao area.
  4. Yes, they will fry your eggs to order, or make an omlet, etc. But, you have to be there no later than about 9:45 as they shut it down promptly at 10:00 A.M.
  5. My Jan. 9th flight arrived in BKK at the ungodly hour of 1:40 AM. Unfortunately, it was late arriving at 2:00 AM. Then, to add insult to injury EVA had left my checked bag in Los Angeles. By the time I filled out the appropriate form and exited the airport it was after 2:30 AM, but Jan was there patiently waiting and holding a sign with my name on it. While we were driving to Pattaya, Jan said, If you will give me a copy of your passport and a copy of the claim form, I will pick up your bag for you when I come back to the airport at about 10 AM. I said that would be just fantastic. When we got to the Areca, I had the appropriate copies made and gave them to Jan. At about 11 AM, she called to say the bag did not make EVA’s last flight out of LAX and was expected tonight on the same flight I had taken the previous day. Jan said she was coming back to BKK the next day and would get my bag at that time. The next day (Jan. 10th) at about 11 AM, Paul called me to say that Jan was in BKK at the airport and had found out that EVA had sent my bag to Pattaya during the night and that it had been delivered to the hotel. I wandered down to the lobby and inquired and lo and behold the bag was there. This is just another example of the great service offered by Paul and Jan. It’s not often you find a car service that will take the initiative to follow up on lost or undelivered luggage. Their prices are a bit more than some of the others serving the BKK-Pattaya route, but the level of service provided justifies the additional expense. If you are coming to Pattaya and going to be needing car service, I recommend Jan and Paul.
  6. Much the same for me. I used EVA on flights Jan 9th and Feb 3rd. Evergreen Delux was only about $200 more than economy, but what a difference. Nice wide seats and ample leg room, especially since I was on the aisle. I'll definitely be using them again.
  7. I've spent quite a lot of time walking and sitting on the beach during seven trips to Pattaya. I've seen many (mostly european) women sunbathing topless. Never a problem, as long as they don't mind the mongers taking a (sometimes long) look. Tell her to, "go for it".
  8. When it comes to Pattaya -- anytime is a good time.
  9. You are absolutely correct about how those girls eat that stuff and stay cleaned out. One of my regular TG's leaves the bathroom door open when she goes in and the smells could kill most normal living organisms. I'm always shouting - shut the door, but usually to no avail. I believe many of these girls, raised in small villages, and living without indoor plumbing are not bothered by those smells as they are used to much worse. Next trip I'm going to putchase a can of spray for the bathroom.
  10. Today, I booked EVA - LAX/BKK for $1,070 in Evergreen Delux Class. Seemed like a good fare to me. My flight from middle of USA to LAX is $322, so for around $1,400 I get to BKK and return. That's only about $100 more than if I had flown economy on American or United. The difference being I am in Evergreen versus the cattle car.
  11. Very sad indeed. My condolences to FLB staff and her family.
  12. If you are looking for a cheap price, it will not happen in Pattaya. I had a pair of sunglasses made a couple years ago and when I got them home I discovered just enough difference in the prescription between other glasses I have not been able to wear them. I would not do it again.
  13. My favorite restaurant in all of Pattaya is Nang Nual on Walking street, about a hundred yards past FLB. Great seafood, great prices, lots of it, etc. I just returned from 9 days and ate there on three nights.
  14. There is another thread in this section entitled Soi 13 construction, or maybe just Soi 13. Look at it and it will give you good updated info.
  15. I stayed at the Dynasty June 14 thru July 4th. It was noisy everyday. The construction next door was going strong. I'm not a daytime sleeper and had a room away from the end of the hallway, but you could still hear the noise. It won't keep me from going back as I really favor this hotel and more specifically the location, but for someone who insists on sleeping during the day, it could be a problem.
  16. Depending on what time of day you start: (1) golf; (2) massage; (3) sex. then repeat.
