Yes, you are right about the payday tactic. In the old days they fought their way up and got paid peanuts, maybe a title shot after 40-50 hard fights but it was about getting a title shot. Willie Pep was 52-0 before getting a title shot. Today the TV money means mediocrities can score a million-dollar payday even after a dozen fights. Khan isnt championship material yet and 140 is a very tough division.

Handlers pick and choose carefully when their guy is on the way up. That's what we are seeing here. Judah is on the way down, notwithstanding his recent "run" against nobodies. BUT, he may be the most experienced guy Khan has faced to date, Judah having been in with Floyd, Cotto and others. I'm sure he learned something from those fights. But in the end, Khan is young and strong.

I'm not sold on Khan yet either but Judah is done. He seems to fight well for about 5 rounds then fades. Khan KO about round 7-8.

Food is very cheap in Taiwan, and good. Hotels can be pricey if you want an international chain hotel, nothing new there. Plenty of good clean quiet hotels frequented by Taiwanese.
