  1. Hi, Trade war US V China is the main problem. Imagine if that goes hot ??? Exchange rates will be the least of our problems if that happens.
  2. Hi, I dont think its possible to get a deal before Brexit. After, it will be, they want to sell to us and we want to sell to them. Business is business.
  3. Hi, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd all look short of what is required. Maybe some other team can do a Leicester City ?
  4. Hi, Midlifecrisis posted on this thread last year. His contribution will be missed this year. Most of the regular posters on this thread, like Cheshire Tom and Nidnoyham have left the building. Man City start as they left off with a great performance against West Ham. Liverpool are too good for Norwich. Man Utd won v Chelsea but it wasn't really a 4-0 game. Arsenals starting line up looked weak but some of their new signings came on and they beat Newcastle.
  5. Man City start another Premier League season as hot favourites and it is hard to see them being beaten with question marks against their traditional rivals. Liverpool are the most settled of their rivals with Klopp in charge and their victory in the Champions League. However, their forwards have been busy in the Summer and they may struggle to play to the same level this season. Spurs failed to turn up in the CL final and would have been lucky winners after 13 defeats during the PL season. Pochettino seems unsettled and I feel they may not have as good a season as their fans are hoping. Man Utd and Chelsea have managers who lack experience at this level. Chelsea have a ban on players as well. Ole seems to have the more difficult task as Man Utd are a massive institution and there will be people at Old Trafford behind every door with a knife in hand. Lampard may be given more time and has a lot of young players who will be hungry to make their name and be a success. I like both as individuals and I hope they can make a success of their roles. Arsenal have signed Pepe for a record fee and there is nothing wrong with the Gunners as an attacking force. However, I was hoping for a few defensive signings, as Arsenal are poor in that department. Hoping for the best. Wolves did as well as I expected last season and should have another solid year. Everton will another team to look out for with Silva still in charge. The most interesting of the rest is Leicester City who seem an ambitious club and have Brendan Rogers in charge. West Ham seem destined to beat some of the top 6 when in the mood. Newcastle have lost Rafa and have a Toon Army fan, Steve Bruce, as manager. Plenty of drama there again this season. I can't remember the last time teams like Arsenal and Man Utd were such big prices for the PL. It will be interesting to see how they get on. I hope ye all enjoy the season and your teams play some entertaining football.
  6. Hi, I'm hoping that the £ will bounce back a bit after we leave EU and it turns out OK. Having said that it is a decline that begun long before the Referendum. https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=THB&view=10Y
  7. Hi, I've flown lots of times on 737. Whatever they call this new version, I will avoid.
  8. Hi, They are thinking about it as well. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/jul/15/boeing-737-max-ordered-by-ryanair-undergoes-name-change A Boeing 737 Max due to be delivered to Ryanair has had the name Max dropped from the livery, further fuelling speculation that the manufacturer and airlines will seek to rebrand the troubled plane once it is given the all clear to fly again. Photos have emerged of a 737 Max in Ryanair colours outside Boeing’s manufacturing hub, with the designation 737-8200 – instead of 737 Max – on the nose. The 737-8200 is a type name for the aircraft that is used by aviation agencies.
  9. Hi, The problem Boeing, and the airlines who order this version, have is will people be prepared to fly on it ? I would try avoid it. The 737 was a great plane but this version is problematic.
  10. Hi, It was unavailable on this link but available on another.
  11. Hi, I was in the Post Office this morning and they were advertising baht at less than 37. From my records I got 74+ at some stage. The value of the £ has halved against the Baht.
  12. Hi, An oldie but goodie.
  13. Hi, The Chinese and Indians are known for keeping the money within their communities and families. Muslims and Indians marry their cousins to keep the money in the family. The ordinary Thais will get very little of whatever money is circulating. Could be interesting times in LOS as well. You cant impoverish ordinary people and expect them to take it lying down.
  14. Hi, Gold is getting stronger at the moment. Bad time to sell with all the potential for war in the air.
  15. Hi, Yeah, I notice Thais doing well in both the mens and womens game.
  16. Hi, It will all blow up in their faces.
  17. . Hi, Not just in LOS. A chap I know gave me a wave out of a brand new Range Rover the other day. He is not known for working hard. https://www.lookers.co.uk/land-rover/new-cars/range-rover?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqI3l-MLe4gIVy53tCh0CBgaCEAAYAiAAEgJJ5PD_BwE The new Range Rover Plug-in Hybrid Electronic Vehicle (PHEV) is now for sale, starting from £87,600, with CO2 emissions as low as 72g/km, providing an output of 404hp and delivering 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds. The Range Rover Vogue begins at £81,900 for the Vogue model, with features such as the Atlas grille mesh detailing and front bumper accent, and interior Windsor leather seats.
  18. Hi, Well done to Man City for winning the PL.
  19. Hi, Tough on Liverpool, who would have been worthy champions, but remember they should have lost both games to City. If they had won one of the games they would be champions.
  20. Hi, Brighton have sacked their manager already. I feel there will be a big turnover of players at Arsenal, Man Utd and psssibly a few others. Emery has had a good first season IMO, but needs defenders. Ole has a big job on his hands, Man Utd are attracting players who seem more interested in big bucks than success. Some of the fans are already calling for his head. If Ole can sort out the situation he will be as big a legend as Fergie.
  21. Hi, Yeah, the scousers had a great night. Should be rocking on Sunday for the visit of Wolves. Barcelona are vulnerable away from home in the CL if you look through their record.
  22. Hi, Top 4 and relegation all decided. Arsenal and Man Utd concede more than 50 goals so were both undeserving of a Champions League place. City and Liverpool go to the last day. Leicester put up a good show last night but Kompany hit a great winner. Brighton are a boring team but can put all their players behind the ball. Wolves have already won the battle for 7th but I'm sure they will give a good account at Anfield.
  23. Hi, I have a gut feeling most of it will be decided this round. I know Sky would like everything to go to the last day but it may not happen this time.
  24. Hi, Nobody seems to want the other 2 places. City have responded much better to CL disappointment than Man Utd. I used to be a regular at Ajax at one time and they have another great team at last. I hope they beat Spurs.
  25. Hi, Well, City responded well to the pressure. Still have difficult games while Liverpool seem to have easy ones. Wolves are having a fine season and kept up their good record against the top 6.
