I suppose you werent taught anything about the Free French forces who fought in WW11 or the resistance who suffered terribly helping downed airmen and escapees through the lines ? But Yes got to agree with you. They are very ungratefull to the British for saving their arses in both wars. However, I like France. I like it so much I bought a house there. How about we take a pop at the Italians next eh? Those gutless toads couldnt even work out which side to support.

Arent Gulf Air a similar Price to RJ.? I travelled RJ several years ago when there was a compulsory stop over and the flight couldnt be faulted. I like Gulf air. I stay awake from UK to Gulf then drop a sleeping pill and sleep from Gulf to BKK and arrive quite refreshed. Same on the way back and good arrival times.

Crackpot replied to valentinoxxx's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Go up to the Third floor Theres abour 10000 of them !! Costs 100Baht and takes about 2 mins, then buy a Sim package to pop in your phone. I bought a 1-2-phone which cost me 300 baht and worked fine -
If I needed to stay that close to Sukhumvit I'd stay at the Woraburi about a mile down the road, despite the stroppy receptionists. Wild horses (or whores) wouldnt get me to stay at the Nana

Crackpot replied to Sunil's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Probably about the same time as they fix all the pavements, get rid of all the bar girls and stop all the corruption in the Police and Government Me ? Cynical ?? No way geoffrey -
Dont forget Dave, most insurances provide for £50 emergency clothes if suitcases are lost or delayed so long as you have an ailrine or airport loss certificate. £50 buys some good clothes in BKK ;D

If you are going to be organising it from the UK you need to do it with a highly reputable company, who will only issue the ticket after seeing their passport with a valid Entry Clearance stamp. We used Diethelm in Bangkok, paying via email with a credit card. Find out what date her Interview will be then arrange a provisional date with Diethelm. Good Luck anyway.

Yet, last Tuesday I bought a large box of frozen Thai Tiger prawns from the the Mobile fish merchant at the local Market. Bloody expensive though. They are loveley, dipped in Goggi then deep fried and then quickly dipped in my wifes special Nam Phra Pik

How many of you are now addicted to Thailand?
Crackpot replied to simon916's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Hi Bub Just a point. Dont expect the Thai lady you knew in Thailand to be the same as the Thai lady you marry and take back to the US They learn very quickly. And though they never get as bad as some of the hard faced cows born here they do learn very quickly. I was married to a British girl here in the UK for 14 years before she decided to walk (did she walk or was she pushed I'll never know) I've now been married to my Thai wife for over 14 years, and even though she has picked up a lot of the UK womens ways, she still maintains the Thai air of indifference typical of so many Thais. Just dont expect them to stay pure and untouched by what they see and hear around them. The rose coloured glasses soon fall off !! -
Isnt it still at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel ? Though I must admit I havent been there for years as I use the BKK Office

I obtained that data after a 20 second Google search. I did already know several of them but the website I found gave all the info better than I could. However, I neither know where Hoffa is buried or even who she is ( nor do I care)

Its also worth checking with your bank ! I found that the Gold Account I have with my bank gave me and the wife free worldwide Insurance. I was a bit dubious about it so rang them and they sent me details of the policy and it really was quite good. Cost me £21 to add my daughetr to the policy. You can also upgrade it to a Ski-ing insurance for a small amount too. Just mind out for those black runs and moguls in Pattaya !!!
