  1. Well Ive never heard Kenny Ball, Chris Barber or Acker Bilk mumumumumumumumumixed. Techno aint music. Thank Christ weve still got copyright on all our stuff
  2. Get a taxi to Mah Boon Krong or BTS to Siam and walk along the road to it
  3. Why not just set out a standard enquiry for a room then Using the Hotel Guide from this Forum fire off emails to all the hotels who have email contacts within your price range. It be more successsfull than just chasing one at a time Good luck anyway
  4. Well I guess thats why I said " I" ???
  5. I hate ALL forms of Techo, Drum & bass, trance etc etc etc. I dont even think it should be called music. If it aint played with Guitars, drums and a Keyboard (preferably a C3 Hammond with Leslie Box), it aint music. Though if Kylie asks me nicely I'll listen to her ;D ;D
  6. You can get the electrical adapter in the Airport before you leave. It works as we bought one for our phones and they are fine though you might have to bend the contacts on the adapter inwards a little
  7. It will work. If you have problems Go to the 4th Floor MBK in BKK and get it unlocked
  8. Yes, the Roof Garden is just back a little Pattaya way from the Sugar Hut turnoff. Damned sight cheaper too !!
  9. Have you seen the website that just shows pics of airline food ?? Strange Eh ?
  10. You'l find that most bars have their own DJ's.
  11. I used to get T Shirts printed from any of the Tailors selling T shirts in Walking st. They should all be able to get them done.
  12. If the Hotel has general No-Guest policy its worth simply asking the manager if they have a 'Red-Card pass' Though it isnt well known many Hotels have this and will issue a Red Card pass to people they think are 'worthwhile', or regulars, or Tour Operators etc etc etc.
  13. Emirates The change of aircratft is fine. Stay awake over to the Gulf, once back on the plane, a few beers then sleep all the way to Bangkok. No Jetlag !!!!
  14. Then tell her to keep her clothes on. 60 yr old women have no place in gogo bars ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  15. That one has been there for well over 14 years but the one next to it is relatively new

  18. Woraburi, further down Nana, 750Baht. Just ignore the rude receptionists. For a real fleapit try the Golden Palace on Soi 1 Sukhumvit 580 Baht a night
  19. He said he wanted a cheap Hotel and the Asia aint cheap
  20. Dey doo doo dat do, dont dey
  21. I would have to agree with Airborni. Yes the cost of living is high but the fun you can have there is incredible, once you get used to the little Japanese customs and foibles. I have a friend living in Hokkaido who gets so much pussy (so he tells me) and its all for free. And I must say that on my various trips there I havent been dissapointed. I found the secret was to get invites to some parties.
  22. We usually pay 2000 from Pattaya to Kanchanaburi and I think you should reckon on something neer that mark
  23. Got to agree with this. I looked at two of their rooms in May of this year and both of them smelled of damp and the staff didnt seem to care either. Its always annoyed me why Hotels dont air their rooms out when not in occupancy. I stayed in the Tower Block of the Ambassador a couple of years ago and they too stunk of dampness. Such a shame for a Hotel which once was one of the top 5 in Bangkok
  24. Great minds think alike. Its the first thing I do after changing my money up too.
  25. Ive always found that a few days in Bangkok at the beginning of a trip then a few days at the end works fine. The few days at the end can be used for seeing the things you didnt see on the first trip. Whilst I like Pattaya it drives me up the wall after a week or so.
