I can only speak as I find. I've used them 8-10 times with no problems. Sorry you had some.

Mansion-need number to call friend
Big_Brian replied to Angelo02's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
No problem. Only, they're both in Mu 9, and LK mansion is directly behind Made in Thailand market - between it and Soi Buakao. It's a bit of a coincidence. Good luck finding your friend. -
Other Hotel ,Arca Lodge booked
Big_Brian replied to Dr Mick's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Good luck getting a reply from them. They don't answer emails. On the phone it's "no pomplem, have loom". I'm soooo confident with that. -

Thanks Martin, tried that. 5 days and nothing. I'll give up on this one.

grs90, Thanks, that covers it nicely.

is it safe to book through this website ?
Big_Brian replied to hal73's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
No. 12 trips and I've never been asked to pay in full before I got there. A deposit yes, but not the lot! Be very careful. -
Oh bugger. I get in on the 30th. I was hoping that it would either open on time or be delayed until I've got there. Just as long as they don't lose my golf clubs.

Martin, The reservation form requires a Credit Card. I'm not keen on using a Credit Card over the net or in LOS at all! I will, but I'm not keen. However, I see no point at all in using one before I'm sure that there's a vacant room of the standard I'm enquiring about. Like manracer, I've been trying to contact LK Mansion, but they don't answer emails. I have phoned them and spoken to a receptionist "no pomplem, have loom", but she didn't want a CC, or my email address, or my postal address, I had to remind her to take my name! So I'm confident about that - not. Fortunately

Flap hard - who knows, you might just make it to LOS, someones got to be first!

That's worrying, I've got the same changeover times in late October and again on the way back in November. No email yet though. I've just looked at the Etihad website and all my flights are still up on it so here's hoping......

Well, this is running on a bit. One thing that mattered to me is that I have to book my leave well in advance or risk not being allowed the dates I want. Once I've got the dates I can't really wait for last minute deals that may or may not materialise, I NEED to fly on those dates. So Etihad looked OK. Another thing is the travel to a London airport from Cornwall - I can't fly out before 14:00 (16:00 for safety) and the return has to land before 16:00 (14:00 for safety). Outside those times it means an overnight, either in London or on a train, neither is much fun and either add

Attention all RideHer Cup golfers!!!

Just booked my flights today. Landing on 30 October. Count me in for the Rideher Cup and Catz Open please. -
I found a better option! Same airline, same departure times, but leaves from Heathrow and returns to Gatwick - same same for me, it's a train to Reading instead of a bus that's all. 1 hour 45 at Abu Dhabi on the way out and 1 hour 40 on the way back, so no long changeover. £393 inclusive. Damn! It was £373 last night but I was drunk and wanted to see it sober! You snooze you lose I suppose. spacebass, as to cost, I usually do one trip a year, this time I'm trying to make November and February so I'm triming budget where I can. It'll leave more to pay for all those sick
-
Thanks all. I actually live in Cornwall so the northern flights don't help. Etihad out of Gatwick leaves too early in the day, I can't get there. WoodyAmsterdam, thanks for the link. Fatboyfat, BA/Brymon flights from Newquay~Gatwick aren't trustworthy, a bit of sea mist and they can't land at Newquay! No one has come up with a "don't use these idiots" so I'll book it - but not tonight, I'm pissed!

Well, it's that time of year again, time to pick a flight. For the last few trips I've been paying a bit extra to travel direct but I'm tempted by Elthiad this time - £375 inc taxes! The bad bits for me are; it's not direct - duh... a 7 hour layover at Abu Dahbi on the return flight (00:15-07:30), The good bits are; price! a fast changeover on the way out, both ways it starts in the evening - I'm a long way from London so I need time to gewt to the airport, the return ends early enough that I can easily get home that night - last year I made the mistake of flying EVA and

Try grope. Had to watch it 4 times.

OK, so here's a question; Is Emma gay? She's a man who sleeps with men, so she's gay. Right? But, she looks like a woman and sleeps with men. So she's straight. Right? If she went with a woman, would that be gay? And what if she went with another LB? OK, now I'm confused.
-
Well, yeah, but lets be fair - he hit the ball more times in 9 holes that most folk do in 18. Or 36 for that matter. Sorry Martin, couldn't resist.

Flew LHR to BKK yesterday in Elite. Not impressed. OK, so I'm a fat bastard but I expected more room in an "Elite" seat. The width was tight, not uncomfortable, just not comfortable if you know what I mean. Beacuse the trays are stored in the armrests I couldn't use mine - it wouldn't open past my gut. Also, the armrests don't fold down so even if you have no one next to you, you can't spread out. Legroom fine for length but a 8" wide box was clamped aroind the leg of the seat in front, which was a nuisance. I was in 21A but I think that box is common to all the window seats (looks like
