  1. The still unrented rental bikes. Yes - that is a long overdue idea - I doubt it will ever happen
  2. Yes - that would be nice. It would be even better if you also are able (and willing) to get some pics of the place.
  3. Just installed lanzalads Expat TV app and PM'ed him the unit ID.
  4. Thanks - it was as I guessed - but this eliminates the guessing :-D
  5. I bought this one: http://www.lazada.co.th/omi-private-chef-sb1-563968.html
  6. As I already posted - it is with me now - without any trips to the post office
  7. Well - I am happy to say that the package with the hand blender was at the front desk and is now in my possession. What recipee would you use for a mild mayonaisse (including which oil) and where would you buy the ingredients ?
  8. It is - and in the Philippines and maybe other Asian countries. But speed of delivery depends on if the item is in their stock or not. In this case it was not so it takes longer. I did not spot that - but it was clear in the order confirmation.
  9. There were some "normal" blenders including one with some similarity to a hand blender. But both the staff there and I was in agreement they did not have any.
  10. Shipped to Pattaya - at home I have a Bamix AND a cheap hand blender I meant to bring along. I will tell you when I (hopefully) get it.
  11. Thanks Gary - I just ordered one from Lazada.
  12. Thanks - I will give that a shot :-) Edit - I checked PowerBuy at Central - and they did not have one. The nice woman there would order one in if I tell her the brand and model.
  13. I have looked at Friendship and Big C on Pattaya Tai and in Home Works. All 3 shops have a simple cheap blender at 600 - 800 baht - but only Home Works (next to Big C) has a hand blender - and only one fancy model at 4000 baht. What I am looking for is something similar to the cheap (probably Chinese made) 500 baht hand blender I was planning to bring from home - but forgot.
  14. So it does not matter if we mail them directly or use the link here ?
  15. Just book RG through the board - nice hotel at a good rate and it even supports the board :-)
  16. Or decide to live in Cambodia or the Phililippines instead
  17. I think Libre Office is slightly better than Open Office
  18. It is strange that you can't find Crest - the supermarkets in Pattaya seem full of international brands. Even with the long traveling time from the US I would have thought a BIG slab of frozen beef wrapped in a thick layer of old newspapers (or better more high-tech analogues) would still be frozen upon arrival
  19. A fair price. Mr.T charges 1000 (900 the other way) but with Nam it is a know car/driver (I have only been stand-up once even though I have had a couple of delayed flights) and she speaks English well.
  20. Looks fun - thank you for the pics
  21. I think Hotel Dania (can be googled) has apartments for around that or less
  22. I think the thread was dying - but if you say that I am "rubbishing" anyone I think I am entitled to ask how/where ? It is a strange coincidence that all the PCX owners on the boards have never experienced the serious battery damage issue (and Honda has not recalled the bikes). I actually asked Mark to have a look and maybe fix the missing "idle stop" when he informed me he had disconnected it on purpose. I MIGHT have paid to get it reconnected (even though I think I should not have to) BUT not when I would have to assume full responsibility for the maintenance if I did. I have NEVER called Mark to ask him to come get me anywhere. Please show me where I have written anything incorrect in any of the boards. I have also rented at Mark for several years and have in fact have stated in the OP that I have in general been a satisfied customer. If Mark had written on his website and in the booking confirmation mail that he had disabled a (to me) significant function of the bike I would have picked a Hayate or a Nuovo Elegance. But I did not that that info and consequently assumed it was a fully functional bike I was renting.
  23. I signed up and signed in and set it to Denmark (at least it shows the Danish flag) but the Danish national TV is still geo blocked - can someone else try if it works for them - or perhaps write a "for dummies" instruction how to do it ? http://www.dr.dk/tv/live/dr1 I have previously used a VPN subscription successfully - but have heard that is "old-school"
  24. The best I could get was a permission to pay a shop to reconnect it - BUT under the condition that I assumed full responsibility for the maintenance of the bike. I am not THAT stupid. But I don't have a quarrel with Mark - his bikes his choice - I am just going the rent a Hayate or a Nuovo Elegance that has all the functions the factory intended - at half the price - next time.
